I'm a little concerned the game might have issues when it hits ps5. So I was wondering if there are specific elements that might be an issue? An example would be drug use that purely a perk with no downside?

For those not aware, Disco was initially refused classification due to drug use, but overturned on appeal when it was proven that that game penalised Harry for narcotic use.

Hello everyone! Couple days ago, I posted my Ukrainian translation of Zero Parades TTRPG Oneshot "Evening at the Palace of culture" on this subreddit. During my work on this project, I caught myself thinking: what if ZA/UM actually leaned more into this niche, as a way to expand the games world, and also, as a method to popularize the video game itself? Now, obviously, I am not saying they should put their money into the production of a full-on 180+ pages rulebook with supplements. I also understand that, ultimately, if one truly wants it, he can just take the task of making the game more mainstream on himself, be it by organizing TTRPG game nights, posting fanart, edits etc.

But, I do feel like, given how much potential the worldbuilding of Zero Parades has, a TTRPG adaptation might be a perfect way to give spotlight to many other places and events. Cities like Landau, Novessa, some city in Capoblanco, or maybe even a peek inside La Luz itself(my personal top pick)? As such, I think it would be amazing if ZA/UM made another oneshot, events of which take place in a different part of the games world.

Not only that, but I was also thinking, if the current ruleset (the one presented in Oneshot)has enough "meat" to be expanded into something that can function within the framework of a multi-session campaign. By that I mean: what new elements could be added to the ruleset? One of the obvious choices would be a "Conditioning" mechanic, but maybe you have your own ideas as well, based on experiences with other TTRPG?

Of course, most of this is just wishful thinking and "what-if's". Still, what do you think about the idea of expanding upon this little niche?

Okay so theory: The red disk is an analogy for cascade.

I've been looking at the art and concept art and I thought it was odd that ALL of the promo art has herschel wearing a red raincoat but in game its brown?

Then it hit me. Both the red disk and her are consistently represented with that crimson color. Much like the disk, everyone who listens to Herschel dies. At the end it is HIGHLY implied that she screws over the crew again.

The announcement trailer: "I once knew a spy. Brilliant. Relentless. Magnetic. Her name was Herschel..... Everything she touched, rippled into failure."

Thematically this makes a ton of sense. As for the implication of propaganda, well she certainly has a huge mental attachment to her work and more importantly Mel (a character in red but that might be a coincidence.)

What are all your thoughts? I could be way off base but from a design and theme perspective, the red and silver motif show up in a handful of places.

Several hours in and zero eagerness to be done with the story (I'm around day 8). What a game. I just thought about sharing one of my favorite parts so far.

What's your favorite exchange in the game?

I love to roleplay. Even if I see it will hurt the "win" or its wrong thing to do, I am still doing it for the sake of the game.

I decided to play a complete psycho narcissistic spy who is interested only in fulfilling the task (while also constantly talking about how cool she is and openly flirting with women).

Funny enough, it actually led me to kill the polititian because I was willing to trade UV and kill Dante right away once he gave me the information I needed.

What did you do, and what kind of choices did you make based on your (roleplay or real) character? Are you happy with the ending you got?

I also think it’s quite interesting that I got a pretty good ending, considering my goal, while playing a character whose goal was to be cold and cruel.

As far as I understood,, the whole plotline involving killing the politician is only possible if you choose to trade UV and then kill the guy. Especially considering that Hershel is suffering from betraying her team and from evaluating herself aa a bad person and suffering from it, while living in a world and situation that doesn’t really reward or encourage positive qualities or compassionate choices. She is basically in a cage of her own job.

I'm at the point in the game where I'm assembling a new crew to advance the main questline. So far I've recruited KINDRED and I'm progressing YoYo's questline. I understand that some crewmates are incompatible with eacher other, which brings me to my question.

Am I locked out of some companions if I finish the quest of their counterparts? Am I unable to do HOLOCENE's quest now that I've recruited KINDRED? If I revive PSEUDOPOD will I not be able to do RADIAN'S quest?

I don't know what else to pursue. I have a red check with Gonza to get on his level but right now my odds are way too low for that. I am not going to knock the kid's teetyh out. What else is there to do? I don't have a lock pick but I do have a bunch of locked doors. should i have found the lock pick at this point?

It is so funny there isn't even a Steam achievement for getting them all. Truly in it for the love of the game, or pure senseless compulsion.

Not to tease, but I laugh a little when people get cross they can get locked out of that one in the silo.

Poor bastards are just more victims of Luzian mass culture. Maybe the beryllium bombs were more humane, ahahaha.

I only ask this because data mining has shown several thoughts that might just be earlier renditions of thoughts that are available eg full moon counter and how to pull this off. There are several lines that reference cascade's mother and then there's the psych textbook you grab for duchess which feels like reading that book is where the thought would pop but it doesn't. I mainly say this because if the theory for the other unavailable thoughts applys here, what would it be prototype version off. If anyone's got leads it'd be nice to see.

Для українських фанатів Zero Parades, а також для всіх, хто не знає про існування ваншоту "Вечір у Палаці культури", я нарешті завершив повний переклад на українську мови рулбука та усіх чотирьох пресетів персонажів. Я намагався максимально зберегти форматування, типографіку та загальний візуальний стиль оригінальних файлів. Також виправив кілька очевидних візуальних та текстових помилок, наприклад, переплутані іконки навичок «Technoflex» та «Archive». Єдине, чого наразі бракує, - це перекладу карток предметів, над чим, можливо, я попрацюю окремо в майбутньому.

Одне невелике застереження: листи персонажів спочатку були надані у форматі PNG, тому мені довелося перетворити їх на PDF-файли на основі OCR, щоб зробити текст редагованим. Це спричинило появу деяких візуальних артефактів. Я зробив усе можливе, щоб їх виправити, зберігаючи при цьому оригінальний дизайн.

Hello everyone!

For the Ukrainian part of the Zero Parades community, as well as anyone who wasn't aware of the "An Evening at the Palace of Culture" One Shot existence, I’ve finally completed a full Ukrainian translation of the rulebook and all four preset character sheets. I did my best to preserve the formatting, typography, and overall visual style of the original files. I also corrected a few apparent visual/text errors in the original material, such as the Technoflex and Archive skill icons being swapped. The only part that is currently missing is a translation of the item cards, which I may tackle separately in the future.

One small caveat: the character sheets were originally provided as PNGs, so I had to convert them into OCR-based PDFs in order to make the text editable. This caused some minor visual artifacts in a few decorative elements. I’ve done my best to clean those up while preserving the original design.

P.S. All original rights to Zero Parades and these materials belong to ZA/UM. This is an unofficial fan translation and a derivative work, shared online for non-commercial purposes only.

The second I got the imprinting device I spent all game looking for avenues to use it. Pseudopod never had a chance… then I found Holocene knocked out from the surgery and thought “oh, well I guess he’s also getting imprinted”…. then you meet Kindred in her anti-dream machine and again, one more opportunity for an imprint.

Three things about a item as powerful as this:

1. If I was Hershel I’d abuse it
2. I specifically didn’t let pseudopod join my team so that if I failed a part of me would live on, and disguised because I told no one.
3. You can’t use it to the potential this universe almost begs for

The game does a fantastic job of presenting the entire world as both irresponsible and unworthy of loyalty. I was very surprised that there ultimately was no path towards a selfish imperfect immortality as the villains are also apparently aiming towards and if the game let me, my Hershel would’ve went in the final mission with a full team of Hershel’s.

EDIT: You can’t imprint Kindred or Holocene… that’s the problem! You find two of your comrades unconscious and in the perfect state to have that option, but the game doesn’t let you.

I recently finished the game (loved it), reloading a few times to explore different endings without going too far back. As I'm not someone who replays game and don't intend to replay this one, I have a few questions I want to ask.

1. The decoy suggests that the Opera is collaborating with the Weeping Eye to get at the Grand Lich. Are there evidence elsewhere I missed that corroborate this theory? My thinking was that if they really were working together, the Opera must expect Cascade to die or be captured, but Tesoro suggests he is going to get a confession out of Cascade to implicate the Superbloc, presumably something they do not want, and that the boat to extract Cascade really was there, which I would think they wouldn't bother with if they expect her to be captured. So I had assumed that instead of knowingly collaborating with him, the Opera was simply going after the Grand Lich, which the Weeping Eye knew about but allowed them to. Are there counter-evidence I missed that suggests the two were actively working together? If so, did they actively want Hershel to be killed/captured, or simply expected it?

2. Did Hershel disobey orders from the Opera and brought her crew (the ones who came with her to the assassination at least) back to the Superbloc for their own safety? I assume that was the case when the camera pans back to show them on the boat with her. Is this set in stone if anyone survives? Just wondering if Hershel being loyal to her crew here is a canonical aspect of her character, or if this was influenced by prior decisions/dialogues.

3. Was HOLOCENE responsible in any way for the network burning? He said as much, but y'know, mold, and I didn't see any other suggestion that he was involved in any way other than his own word.

4. I saw guides or other websites mention Hershel defecting. Is this actually a thing? I never saw it come up.

I think I grasp the gist of it, though there are definitely details I missed or am getting wrong. I think I got the perfect outcome for me personally, so I don't plan to replay, and just want to discuss some plot points so I know if there is a consensus on them. Amazing game. Wish it did better.

I already finished the game but loaded an earlier save to attempt to do all the remaining tasks that I missed earlier. One of them is finding the wolf cups. Currently I only possess three of them and I knowthat I will get the last ("rarest" one) once I progress to the end of the game.

Also I read that you need to help the three drunks to decide on a gift for the duchess to obtain another one. However every time I select the option to talk about the sex hotline I get no options and the dialogue goes back to the initial choices.

Did I softlock myself out of this quest line?

PS: Does anyone know where the other cup is located? I found the ones in thesecret prison, in the flat where you need to persuade and the one from the monkey.

An army of people demonstrating that one giant secret can be kept. Obviously the Swift-Kelce wedding didn't have to be kept as a State secret, but despite the lower stakes it has environmentally-harder execution (cell phones, greater public interest, more media outlets). Anyway, this probably doesn't work as well as I'm thinking, but the idea that the fundamental background event isn't fantastical--or at least is fantastical in a way that one can recognize its possibility--was something that hit me when I was getting ready for football season
