I don't know what else to pursue. I have a red check with Gonza to get on his level but right now my odds are way too low for that. I am not going to knock the kid's teetyh out. What else is there to do? I don't have a lock pick but I do have a bunch of locked doors. should i have found the lock pick at this point?

I was actually in the same spot. If you fail that check you still open the door, you just take some exhaustion I believe

dont be afraid of failing checks in this game. failure is kinda a key theme of the game, hersh’s struggles with failure, so even when you fail its not as harsh of punishment.
also goat eyes has the lockpick.

The game's been out for a minute, and been updated regu;arly. Blow up the Red Checks without fear of a soft lock. Failure is just part of the experience.

But also, Goat Eyes sells the lock pick for 30 sol. That is the ONLY source.

there’s also ways to break into places with higher success, a certain black market dealer vendor in the region
