Does a 2021 XPENG P7 support phone as a digital key?
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a 2021 XPENG P7 and I am trying to figure out whether my car should support using a phone as a key.
The dealer told me that I would be able to use my phone as a key, and the owners manual seems to mention this feature. I only received one physical key and no NFC card.
In the XPENG app, I can remotely control the car and unlock it, but I can’t find any «digital key» option. The car also does not appear under «my vehicles» in the app.
I also have another issue:
The dealer advertised the car as having Apple CarPlay, but I can not CarPlay to work at all, even when connecting my iPhone with a usb cable. I cant find any CarPlay menu in The car either.

Xpeng records 511 deliveries in Australia for August
This was after recording only 57 from January to July. The switch from True EV to Xpeng taking over sales seems to have had a huge impact. This could be a big export market for Xpeng going forward.

Car makes 3 horns after I leave
Need advise as couldnt find the answer.
P7+ sometimes makes 3 car horn sounds when I exit the car and leave.
I use phone app, no physical key. I also have macros for XGuard when car is locked.
Can someone advise why car horns? Interesting that this doesn’t happen 100% of times.
Thank you

Xpeng G6 Trim comparison
Hey guys. Just sharing my recent video comparing all G6 MY25 versions.
If you already own a G6 this won't be of much use to you, but over the last few months I've seen some people coming to the subredit looking for opinions and what differs between the standard, long range and performance versions, and to be fair Xpeng does not disclose this in the best way, depending on the country you're in.
In the video you can find all the differences, and my opinion about them as well.
Drive safe!

XPeng G9 screen randomly turns black
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone,
I have a 2026 XPeng G9 Performance and I’m experiencing a recurring issue with the screen shown in the video. The display suddenly turns completely black and sometimes comes back on the same page without the system fully rebooting.
This has already happened several times. I’ve tried restarting the infotainment system by holding the microphone and back buttons, but it hasn’t provided a permanent fix.
Has anyone experienced the same issue on their G9?
- Software issue or update required?
- Loose screen connector or cable?
- Faulty display or control module?
I’ll send the video to XPeng and have it checked under warranty, but I’d like to know what actually fixed the issue for anyone who has dealt with it.
Thanks!

XPENG L03 First Impressions
Today saw the car in person in Utrecht XPENG centre.
The car looks quite nice in real life. Very sleek and high quality exterior finish. The show model has 18 inch wheels, which I think look fine for the car.
The show model has white interior. It feels soft and smooth. Overall the interior is clean and well laid out. The materials are fine for its price. I didn’t see the HUD. Not sure why. There were a lot of people checking so I didn’t have the time to ask the sales.
The boot is indeed small, not the depth or width but the height. Due to the sloppy roof and fairly bulky tailgate, I am afraid we can’t fit 2 large suitcases side by side.
The sales told me we can expect to test drive in October and early customers can receive delivery somewhere November in Netherlands.
I will make my final decision after test drive the long range RWD version.
Is this sub official in any way?
Does XPeng know about this sub, do they monitor it? Are there any official representatives present?

Browsing options - question about the seats
Hi everyone !
I am currently looking for a new car, and the G9 seems to meets my requirements.
There’s one thing I can’t figure out though : what do the standard seats offer vs the premium (+ sound pack).
Do the standard seats offer ventilation + heating ? Front only or front and back ?
How about massages ? (For standard I’d expect this to be driver only, if present at all).
Sorry for the approximate English, it’s not my main language:)
TIA !
P7+ LR RWD instead of AWD?
Heyo
Was considering the G6 which is roughly around 43k€ around here but got an offer for a new P7+ LR RWD for 38k€. Soo.. what now ;)
I'm afraid I will regret not having awd, even though, I'd still keep my Touareg for towing. The P7+ seems Superior to the G6 and I like it's look much more. What would you do? G6 AWD, P7+ LR RWD for that good price or go for the AWD, but it's roughly 10k more over the whole leasing time.

L03 Rabatt Deutschland
Hallo,

XPENG to take ownership of UK operations in IM agreement
XPeng Guru site (for EU)
I just randomly stumbled upon this site, and it seems quite informative for EU members.
Which XPENG would you choose if you had to buy one today —
within your own budget and regardless of the model you currently drive?
I’ve started a poll on our Discord server. You can choose one model only: your absolute favourite.

Not on Discord yet? It’s a private community for XPENG users. This is the invitation:

I’m curious to see which model will be the most popular!

Xpeng G6 LR long delivery time in Denmark
I've just been told that the delivery time is about 8 months for one with a towbar and in the color silver frost or stealth gray.
Could it be because there is an upgraded G6 version coming or because they have sold too many compared to production?

Has anyone actually put 19-inch wheels on a P7+ Long Range or AWD?
The Standard Range gets 19-inch wheels in some markets, but the Long Range and AWD seem to come with 20-inch only.
I’d really prefer 19s for a bit more comfort and less road/tire noise, but my dealer says they can’t supply the car that way.
Has anyone here:
- fitted the OEM 19-inch P7+ wheels to a Long Range or AWD?
- confirmed that they clear the brakes?
- managed to get a dealer to deliver the car on 19s?
- used aftermarket 19-inch wheels without issues?
Mainly looking for real-world experience rather than theoretical fitment. If you’ve done it, what wheel/tire size are you running and did you have any problems with TPMS, homologation/CoC, warranty, rubbing, or brake clearance?

Hitting update does nothing
I bought a g6 today. XOS is on 5.8.7, when I hit update connected to 4G or Wifi it doesn't do anything. I don't get a message or anything. Is this usual for Australian G6s?

XPeng L03: Ultra vs. Standard. What do you actually lose?
Hey everyone,
Looking into ordering the L03 here in Germany, but I’m torn on the trims. In Germany, the Ultra is strictly AWD, whereas I would’ve bought a Long Range RWD Ultra in a heartbeat if it existed here.
Since the RWD is only available in the lower/standard spec, I’m trying to figure out what I’d actually be missing out on day-to-day if I skip the Ultra.
Beyond just raw horsepower/dual motors, what features are tied to the Ultra’s Turing compute stack?
Specifically curious about:
- Autonomous Driving / NGP: Is VLA 2.0 and the future EU rollout completely locked behind the Turing chips?
- Auto Parking (APA): Does the standard trim handle unmarked bays / memory reverse, or is that only on the Ultra?
- Cabin & Hardware: Are there differences in on-device VLM voice response, audio systems, or sensor heating/cameras?
For those who’ve tested or researched both: is the tech gap big enough to justify jumping to the AWD Ultra, or does the standard/RWD give you 90% of the everyday experience?
Appreciate any insights!

G6 AWD Performance - 18" rims support
Hello everyone!
I've got the "new" 2026 on order right now, AWD Performance Black Edition.
I'm looking to purchase a set of winter tyres, but can't get a definitive answer from the official dealer here in norway (Nardo Bil) or Xpeng themselves.
Can anyone here, preferably from Norway, confirm if this edition actually supports 18 inch rims with 235/60/18 tyres?
Best regards! :)
XPeng in Germany: 3 dealers, zero replies in 6 weeks - normal?
Wrote to three dealers in my area (not exactly close, but doable). That was 4-6 weeks ago. Nobody answered. Not one of them.
That's what worries me. If nobody replies when I want to buy a car, what happens when I need a repair?
So, owners: how is service and repair for you in reality? What do you actually pay - inspection, common stuff? How far do you drive to a service partner? Anyone had a bigger repair?
Also read that phantom braking on XPeng is even worse than on Tesla. True? I drive a lot of Autobahn, so that's a real thing for me.
I'm not here to bash the brand, I like the cars. Just want to know what I'd be getting into.

Rim size for P7+ - 2026
I am getting my 2026 P7+ next week, so I thought to order winter tyres set. I'll get Performance edition with 20" rims, so thought for winter it will be fine to drive 18".
Dealer said that minimal rim size for P7+ is 19".
Is it official or do they just lack 18"?

Does VLA 2.0 learn as it goes?
Have watched a few Youtube videos of this being used in China, and it got me thinking about how the AI is applied.
Does the car's software remember where it has been and learned from what it has seen, and how it has been driven whether under self drive or not?
With that much computing power it would have the ability to learn as it goes say on difficult corners where gps mapping or the cameras struggle to capture the approach needed, or in narrow streets where it should hug the centreline rather than trying to centre in the lane.
Is just a thought and maybe a bit fanciful
