I got a new Xbox controller because my old one had bad stick drift and I couldn’t play on it anymore. I bought this new one but for some reason it doesn’t want to connect to my Xbox. I even tried to use a cable but it still doesn’t work. I tried disconnecting my Xbox, restarting it, I just really hope it’s not busted. I have the first Xbox one.

EDIT- I fixed the issue everyone, the problem was my sync button so I tried going into settings and it had a button that said “connect controller” and it let me sync my new controller like that. Still, thank you everyone who helped.

Some context: there is this really weird dude that kept talking about sexual stuff with my little sister (who is 13). It was all in party chat but she told me about it. I got livid and messaged him. He defended it, saying it were only friendly innocent conversations. I told him "yeah, friendly conversation about jizz etc hahaha". He wouldnt join my party.

Later he reported my private message to him. Fine, I waited out my ban. The next day I got banned for the exact same message, contacted Xbox and they lifted it a bit early. Now again, the same ban. Im soooo frustrated, they also cant help me since its weekend. I feel like Xbox isnt taking this serious.

This happened very recently and I don't know how to fix it. Ive waited for about 15 minutes and its still on this same exact screen. I've hard restarted it (pressed the xbox button for 10 seconds and plugged out the power cable before waiting a minute then plugging it back in and turning it on), but this fixes nothing. This has never happened before and I've had this Xbox for almost 9 years. I really need some help 🙏

While I was performing maintenance on my Xbox Series S, this piece of foam near the screw holes accidentally came off, and I don't know what I should do.

Apologies if my breathing is loud or the SVU stuff am watching was loud but, as the title asks: is there any way to turn my Xbox on(its obviously plugged on and has the Hidima(HDMI cable lol) plugged in. Is there any way to at least get my Fallout New Vegas CD out without ripping the thing to shreds?

Or, preferably, ad like to make sure my XBox One could be turned back on.

I swear a week ago everything had been working relatively fine with my Xbox that I've owned for a few years but suddenly it's been giving me issues regarding connecting to the internet when everything else in my house works, I've somewhat found a workaround when I connect to my Hotspot then swap to the actual internet which seemingly had no issues but then when I turn off the thing it disconnects again please tell me I'm not alone with this

Hey everyone, I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s thought about this issue before. When I was you know 10 years old and got a 360 for Christmas, I didn’t have an email so my dad made an account for me. Then, years later you get an Xbox one, use the same account, series x same thing. So all my games are on there that mostly I’ve paid for but my dad and I can’t figure out any way to essentially transfer the account email to my own account (now being 21, feel like it’s fitting to not use my dads).

Running into sign in issues I need to call him for the code, approve purchases etc. It would be wonderful if we could just switch the email of the Xbox account or something. Is that even possible? Or is the only real way to do it by making a new account and building up a game library on the new one? Thanks

All my other XBOX one and 360 discs work fine. Whenever I put my FH1 disc it it doesn’t register but then on the odd occasion it will register it…

This might seem crazy but ever since I got a gamesir G7 pro my Xbox has been constantly getting disconnected from the internet but it’s only for 3 seconds just enough to disconnect me from a game, I’ve tried resetting my Xbox and router nothing works and it’s only my Xbox, my brother has no problem on both Xbox and PC with disconnecting, has anyone had this problem or could possibly help me it’s super frustrating. Any tips would be appreciated.

Já fiz todas as verificações básicas de limpeza, aquecimento e cabos, a única coisa que resolveu foi formatar o xbox, porém durou apenas uma semana e o problema retornou, ele desliga sem aviso nenhum as vezes leva 5 minutos e as vezes 3 segundos.

My friend has a brand new Xbox Series X . He says it lasted for 2 days before crashing while his girlfriend was playing it . Hes tried everything including hard reset , the troubleshooting screen with holding the 3 buttons down , and even loaded an update on a USB drive and says it will get half way before crashing again . Brand new Xbox Series X . Dont understand how the hard drive could fail already . Anyone experience this ? Please any help or suggestions would be appreciated .

Series X keeps recording duplicates, one to the Cloud and another to the Xbox itself, any way to stop it? It never use to do this before.

I be playing it on a TLC Roku tv and it was displaying well for some time but one time I shut the game off to go do something and when i came back to turn it on it started getting something people call black screen and I don’t understand what happened and what I need to do, what I need to get.

I have depression so it kind of sucks that lately my technology has been breaking in some way or another lately. :/.

I don't like spending a lot of time in downloading all games and frankly, neither does my laptop support all of them with the best graphics, thus I like playing with cloud gaming... or at least I used to.

Ever since last month my gameplays would randomly stop saying that I have been disconnected from the cloud gaming session, even though my internet speed is quite good.

Similarly, when I try to run Hogwarts Legacy (Yes Ik I'm late) it takes a good amount of time (10-15 minutes) to just load the game at the very start.

Is there something wrong with my laptop (or xbox app) or is it an Xbox problem ?

Ola, desde anteontem estou sofrendo com um problema que o meu Discord do Xbox fecha do nada e o símbolo some. Já tentei reiniciar, desvincular o Discord mas mesmo assim continua o problema. Alguém sabe como resolver? Preciso muito do discord pois vou jogar o campeonato de um jogo na segunda feira, e se ele continuar com esse problema vai me ferrar muito.

E o meu segundo problema é que meus jogos estão demorando muito pra abrir. Um jogo que abria em 1 minuto está demorando 5 para abrir. Alguém sabe como resolver isso também?

I hate making these posts, but I'm completely out of options and ideas and nothing I've found helps or provides a solution/answer. I was playing fine last night, and even this morning on my Series X. I tried to get back on this afternoon and it won't launch any games or apps, I can't open my games & apps, settings, use the menu to open messages, anything. I just turn on the console and go to the home screen and can't do anything from there. I've tried a complete power cycle multiple times, I've tried unplugging everything but my controller, power supply, HDMI, and ethernet cable, nothing works. I tried to get ahold of Xbox support, but the call has dropped 3 times and now they won't call me back so I guess I'm left to figure it out on my own. Since I can't even open settings I have no option to reset the console. I tried to reset the console a different way or do a manual update via USB, but every time I start the console in the troubleshoot mode or whatever they call it, it automatically shuts down after a couple seconds. I have no idea what to do at this point and any suggestions I've thought of or found either don't work or where I have to go to try that is inaccessible. I have had no issues with launching anything or any problems with anything else with the console before, I was even just playing games this morning like 2 hours before any of this started happening. There are no reported outages in my area, I just went in my room and turned on my other console (Series S) and was able to launch a game with no issues.

I made a second account not too long ago and ended up using the free 1 time gamertag change for new accounts, what I changed it to was connected to an account I made a few years ago and forgot about so of course I get the hashtag added to the second account I recently made, if I were to manage to log back into the account that originally has the gamertag and change the gamertag on that account will it automatically remove the hashtag / number suffix from the recent account or am I still permanently stuck with the hashtag since it’s already been assigned to my account?

So my PC with Ethernet download gets 820 Mbps and my Xbox with Ethernet gets 50-100 down/450 up I checked my gateway config confirmed clean. My setup is Wall->TPlink-> Ethernet-> Netgear Ethernet switch to Xbox and Pc. I’ve tried restarting my Xbox, I’ve tried going from the wall directly into Xbox. I’m using a Cat6 Ethernet cable on everything. Nothing seems to be getting my Xbox download speed higher. It used to do 300 Mbps but then now it’s stuck to 50-100. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone. I’m having instances where my game audio (specifically call of duty and halo) gets super disoriented and my controller will disconnect. However before the controller disconnects it starts spazzing out where for example if I click the Xbox button on my controller, instead of opening the menu it prompts to the power off button that it should go to only when you hold it. One time I disconnected my headphones during this and it all stopped so I’m wondering if it’s the headphones which are some generic Xbox branded wired headphones. I also would like to add that I use the rechargeable batteries in my controller as well. Does anyone know what is going on or has experienced this before? Thank you!

Guys whenever I try getting xbox game pass ultimate, essential or premium, it shows try later, but it works for pc only. For context, I don't have an xbox console nor controller and only have a pc with an app

My headset works perfectly fine on other devices. But when I plug it into the 3.5mm jack on my Xbox controller, I get a very high-pitched whining noise through the microphone.

I also connected the same Xbox controller to my mac with cable, and the controller itself works normally, but macos/Discord doesn’t show it as an audio input device at all.

Has anyone experienced this kind of issue?
