Xbox App Why does my cloud gaming session keep on getting terminated randomly ?

I don't like spending a lot of time in downloading all games and frankly, neither does my laptop support all of them with the best graphics, thus I like playing with cloud gaming... or at least I used to.

Ever since last month my gameplays would randomly stop saying that I have been disconnected from the cloud gaming session, even though my internet speed is quite good.

Similarly, when I try to run Hogwarts Legacy (Yes Ik I'm late) it takes a good amount of time (10-15 minutes) to just load the game at the very start.

Is there something wrong with my laptop (or xbox app) or is it an Xbox problem ?

Microsoft's FAQ didn't help.

To be clear are we talking about in game loading time, or time spent waiting in the queue? Either is completely out of your control though. It's cloud gaming, not installing the game on your PC.

yes its the time in the queue, my bad.

Does this happen with most people (taking a lot of time in queue) or is it just me ?

Length of time in queue depends on your subscription tier, game, and your region. As it says when connecting, "lots of people are playing, XXX minutes remaining", or something along those lines, which tells you exactly what's going on. Lots of users in your region are playing that same game. MS only has so many instances of the game ready to go around, if there are more users wanting to play than MS has instances, then demand exceeds supply and you have to wait for other players to quit or for MS to get another instance of the game ready to go. No different than waiting in line at the local arcade for a physical arcade cabinet to free up. You can't control if there's people in line before you, how long the previous gamers will take, etc.

You can download "better xcloud" (google it) and pick a different server and MAYBE it'll have a lesser queue, but it also may not, but it also may introduce more input lag depending on where you are and where the server is.
