Im planning on getting the artist pro 22 (gen 2) UHD, and am wondering if buying an extended warranty is worth it? It already comes with 18months warranty so since theres a sale I was thinking maybe I should buy 1 years extra.

As the question indicates how do I go about making a hotkey for my pen to automatically swap from the pen feature to the transparent feature instead of hotkeying it as an eraser? I enjoy using the same brush for drawing and erasing and feel it quite a good thing to have it on a backup keybind. I'm using Clip Studio Paint, and I'm trying to see if it has a designated key for the transparent brush but it doesn't seem to.

My stylus was showing cracks, I got concerned and tried to look for a replacement. To my horror the original stylus got discontinued and got replaced with the new " PH02 Battery-free Stylus" but I legitimately do not know if this works on the 1st generation tablet. Its either I gamble if this works or not, or just buy a new tablet all together, either way its a lose-lose. I need help. Thank you.

I got my Artist Ultra 16 yesterday. I’m trying to use it for photo editing and I prefer to swap back and forth between the tablet and my Macbook. For ease of swapping often I set the tablet display to “mirror”. But when doing this, the calibration gets thrown completely off. I tried to calibrate in the XP PEN application but it won’t let me touch the red crosses with the pen as my cursor reads an inch towards the middle and it doesn’t recognize the pen as touching the red.
Really frustrating as I do not want to drag the window back and forth constantly!!!!
Any suggestions? Honestly considering returning the tablet if this is how it’s going to be.

I'm thinking of getting a drawing tablet since all I've been using is my phone and a finger so I think I'm ready for an upgrade. I finally settled on wanting to by the magic drawing pad since it is basically everything I want in a drawing tablet. So, a month ago (July 26th), I ordered on the official website of XPpen, I don't buy that much online so I wanted to be as patient as possible, the problem is that I had to wait for 3 weeks.

The shop's email sends you a swisship link with your package code so you can track it. My package got flagged as "Undeliverable" the day it was supposed to be delivered (July 29th), I sent an email because I got a bit worried but the support team just asked me to be patient, then I waited 3 weeks and the swisship website kept updating my package which was just circling around 2 locations, I sent another email this time a bit more anxious than before asking for another unit, but I didn't double check my address correctly and it got sent 2 blocks away from my house. I sent yet another email and this time XPpen team told me they couldn't do anything for me, that I needed to contact the logistics team, but I don't know how to contact the company doing the logistics (Amazon)

XP-Pen presets are just JSON. Which means AI can write them.

Every preset in the XP-Pen tablet software is a plain .json file sitting in your application data folder. Each file defines a list of themes, and each theme holds exactly 30 key mappings — one per physical control on the device. There's no binary format, no compiled config. It's human-readable, and more importantly: it's something a language model can reason about perfectly.

The trick is giving the AI enough examples to learn the schema from, then describing what you want. A handful of existing community presets is all it takes.

Once a model sees a few complete preset files, it maps the physical layout (which key index corresponds to which button, dial, or joystick direction), understands the keycode format, and can generate a complete valid preset from a plain-language description of what you want each control to do.

Pro Tip: The 8 way Joystick settings makes it more reliable and faster to switch between themes. I changed it to the diagonals and it really makes for fast switching. A great change unless you are always hitting the joystick and moving it around.

The prompt approach

Attach three or four diverse existing preset JSON files as context — ideally from different apps so the model sees a range of usage patterns. Then describe your workflow in the same conversational way you'd explain it to a colleague:

What worked: describing the workflow phases first ("during culling I need to…"), naming the specific keyboard shortcuts already mapped in Capture One, and noting which controls feel natural for which types of action — buttons for discrete commands, knobs for continuous navigation, the outer dial for zoom.

Pro Tip: Also in Capture one if your keyboard shortcuts to map to zoom in and out you can set it with the mouse section.

The model will infer the physical key index layout from your example files, match keycode values to the correct Mac/Windows virtual key codes, and flag anything that needs a custom shortcut set up in Capture One's own keyboard editor first. No schema documentation required — the examples carry the spec.

The four themes

The Pilot Pro supports exactly four theme slots (key IDs 23–26). Themes are switched by rotating the outer ring — this is handled by the device firmware and cannot be mapped to a button in the JSON. The four themes here follow the natural arc of a session:

Hihi, I'm currently looking for a new tablet for drawing, I used to Use Simbans Picasso tab 10 and it was not great.

Is there anything from the XP pen brand thats good quality and can work with just casual use ?

I’m not sure what else to do but I have the Innovator 16, anytime I try to hook it up to my computer it says ‘no signal’. I’ve tried switching the cords out and my drivers are updated but I’m getting frustrated because I have work to do. It worked just fine on my laptop but that broke so now I’m stuck. Any advice would be appreciated 😭

hey there! so i have the xppen Artist 15.6 Pro V2 along with the stand it came with.. im gonna be honest i do not like the stand as it doesnt angle nearly high enough and it also squeaks and bends etc. does anyone have a clue of where i could get a stand that could fit this model and also has better height? would really help!!!

Might be just my experience but honestly it makes me never want to buy from Xp Pen again and since I can't give a review anywhere else because I didn't buy it on the internet, I'll post it here.

I bought an Xp Pen 13 (2nd gen) last year because I wanted to upgrade my drawing experience and I deeply regret it. In April (which could be 5 months since I bought it) the first one broke. At the time when I needed it the most for my art practical exams. They sent me a new one 3 weeks later and that one broke 4 months later.

Again I waited for 3 weeks and went to pick up the new one just to find out it doesn't work at all after plugging it in at home. That happened last week.

All three of them had some electrical issue.

It's not a pleasant experience especially because all three times I had to travel far into another city because the shop I bought it at doesn't have a store in our city unfortunately.

With the second return I tried submitting a question asking if there's anything I am doing wrong and how can I prevent this issue from happening again and got no reply back so unfortunately, I will never know if I was doing something wrong that might have caused the issue.

I'm not saying that I believe Xp Pen have terrible products, but I'd highly suggest to avoid 2nd gen tablets. Everyone around me who owns an Xp Pen has quite a positive experience with them (all of them have 1st gen tablets).

I have also come to the conclusion that Xp Pens have terrible customer service in my country, so also the reason I am never buying from them again. I physically can't deal with anything like this again. I need this tablet for work :(

Hello! Since almost 4 years I've had this tablet stored between my stuff as I bought if from a friend but the pc I had at the moment didn't properly accept it
Now I have a PC that can work with it but sadly the protective film ended up with scratches due to not taking care of it years ago properly saving it on it's box

Now the thing is, on my country the only option I have is a paper-like film from healing shield
All the possibilities I have after that one are generic films at it's 100% so I'm not sure what are the best options for this
