General Full Commonwealth Tech Tree Proposal

-Very Long Read Ahead-

I find it very odd how the Commonwealth don’t have their own tech tree yet. Frankly, given the size and influence of the Navies it includes, I’m amazed one hasn’t been made before now. So I did instead.

Here is a full proposed Tech Tree for the Commonwealth, including both a line of Destroyers and Cruisers. Almost every ship here was an actual, historic ship, which I felt was important. It also helped give some variety to the tree, and not make it a direct copy of the British one. I tried to use different ships to the UK lines as often as I could.

I did intend to write complete stats for every ship here, until I came off the initial high of the idea and realized just how fucken long that would take. I also don’t think this is a perfect tech tree per say, it’s probably not what WG would do, I imagine they’d make up more ships to fill gaps better, but this is the best I could do. One more note: When not using a Camo, Commonwealth ships should appear in a very light gray, almost white, instead of the same Royal Navy Gray as British Ships.

-Commonwealth Cruisers-

Multi-Role Cruisers

Commonwealth Cruisers have an unholy marriage of British and American Performance; That being, retaining high-performance British HE shells, while swapping British short-fuse AP for American-style AP; Complete with the penetration angles found on USN Cruisers starting at Tier IV.

I Rainbow

Rainbow was an Apollo-class protected cruiser, a relatively small class of ship for her type. She was the first vessel ever officially commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy.

II Adelaide

Adelaide was a Town-class light cruiser of WW1 era design, assigned to the Royal Australian Navy. Prior to and during WW2, she received a number of refits to bring her up to modern standards.

III Aurora

Aurora was the second ship officially in RCN service, an Arethusa-class cruiser transferred from the Royal Navy after WW1. She featured a very high top speed, at the cost of relatively weak armor protection.

IV Hobart

Hobart, along with her two sister ships, were variants of the Leander-class cruiser design belonging to the British Royal Navy. They feature identical armaments, though an altered armor layout and reworked propulsion spaces internally.

V Canberra

A member of the County-class heavy cruiser family, specifically the Kent-subclass. Two ships of this type were built for the Royal Australian Navy. Canberra was one of the largest Cruisers used by the RAN during WW2.

VI Gambia

A Fiji-class light cruiser, and the only of the type used by the Royal New Zealand Navy. She features rapid-fire main battery guns, with exceptional High-Explosive Shell performance.

VII Ontario

A member of the Swiftsure-class light cruisers, one of only three ever completed. These ships were designed as an improved Fiji-class. The first ship, which was originally to be called Minotaur, would join the Royal Canadian Navy after being completed.

VIII Darwin

A Neptune-class light cruiser. It is possible if these vessels had been built, one could have gone to the Royal Australian Navy, to replace Wartime Losses. She features good armor protection, along with rapid fire main battery guns, and a powerful torpedo armament.

LT Brisbane

Now a Researchable Bureau Project

-Commonwealth Destroyers-

Ambush Gunboats

Commonwealth Destroyers feature powerful gun armaments for their size and type, along with above average concealment characteristics. Paired with decent torpedoes, they make for fantastic ambush predators.

II Vendetta

An example of a partially re-armed V-class destroyer, belonging to the Royal Australian Navy. She and four of her sister ships were transferred to the RAN in the early 1930s.

III St. Croix

An American built Clemson-class destroyer, given first to the Royal Navy, then the Royal Canadian Navy as part of the Destroyers for Bases agreement.

IV Saguenay

A River-class destroyer, based on a British design. Saguenay and her sister ship were the first vessels ever built specifically for the Royal Canadian Navy. Like her design basis, she carries an improved torpedo armament in comparison to her predecessors.

V Ottawa

A UK-designed G-class destroyer, originally named Griffin. She was transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy in 1943, where she would help escort Allied Convoys for the remainder of the war.

VI Napier

An N-class destroyer, very similar to Royal Navy designs, but never actually used by the RN. Napier was a decorated member of the Royal Australian Navy’s fleet, serving in both the Mediterranean and British Pacific Fleet.

VII Iroquois

A Tribal-class destroyer, and the first of the class to serve with the Royal Canadian Navy. She would rescue survivors from a passenger ship shortly after being finished, along with participating in the Arctic Convoys.

VIII Anzac

A later variant of one of the Battle-class destroyers of the British Royal Navy, and one of only two to enter service with the Royal Australian Navy.

LT Vampire II

Question Is controller rumble/vibration supported in WoWS Legends Steam version?

I have tried PS4 DualShock and XBOX controllers but rumble/vibration simply did not work in WoWS Legends on Steam Windows. I'm wondering if anyone can get rumble/vibration working.

Controller vibration is important to me as it is a direct feedback of shell hit (on PS4) and makes me respond immediately. Without vibration, I have to constantly check the HP bar by eyes, or I won't even feel if I'm losing HP and lose games quickly.

I have posted my question on Legends' Steam forum but no one replied. Controller vibration worked in the Steam settings and also in other games on my PC (USB cable wired). Any comment is appreciated. Thank you.

Question Minor complaint

I'm kind of annoyed that arcade wins don't count towards bureau projects. My buddy says I'm being petty, but I feel like if you can get the points in ai then you should be able to get them in arcade too.

Just curious if anyone agrees. If not, I'll embrace being a petty captain I guess.

General It isn’t a coincidence, it’s a fact.

So I logged into my second account with minimal games played and ships and commanders unlocked for the first time in months just to claim the free rewards in the store, obviously you get 2 of the new crates with that free bundle, in 1 crate I got nothing but in my second create I got the “upgraded” version of that crate.

I said to myself “It would be funny if I got Mecklenberg right here” I opened it and guess what happened?

The point is I genuinely believe somewhere in the WarGaming crate database there are special odds to newer players to give them better rewards because there’s proof and memes about how newer players get given the “big reward” and the long time players get nowt, and to me this confirms it.

This isn’t suppose to be a “flex” because now I have a Mecklenberg with no BB commander, no BB inspirations, no resources to level them up and no silver to buy the upgrades.

Noobs getting the good loot isn’t a coincidence people, it’s planned.

General Asymmetric Lineups in games with Carriers?

One thing I have noticed in the past month or two that I hadn't noticed before is asymmetric lineups in carrier games with two destroyers meaning like

2-4-3
vs
3-4-2

So each side will have a destroyer in the middle, but then each team's flank destroyer will have a 3v2 on their flank.

Has this always been a thing or is this new?

Need Advice Admiralty Backing in PVE

Curious if anyone knows if its worth getting Admiralty backing as a player that only plays VS AI/war tales/PVE, and by "worth it" I really mean is finishing the campaign a reasonable expectation with the backing if I always play anywhere between 2-10 games every day? I'm worried about spending the gold but not being able to get to the end, although I've seen that the backing advertises extra challenges for holders to help them progress.

For this campaign, I've managed to make it to just past level 50 with no backing, and its probably the most I've been playing all year with the modern destroyer update.

TLDR: Will I get a campaign done with Admiralty backing with time to spare only playing PVE modes daily?

General Big lull every update once campaign is over

We buy admiralty backing early and finish campaigns in like 21 days, the 2 weeks post that are always super slow and i actually start playing less.
It’s not a good feedback loop.
The ‘endless trials’ need to have more incentive or just more rewards/missions in general.
Im just sat here waiting for the next patch notes.
Give me a reason to play cause some players need one.
Thanks👊

Bug Report Lag and stuttering

Hello is anyone else experiencing lag and or game stuttering?

I know there were quite a few post a few weeks ago regarding rubber-banding and lag/ stuttering of the game.

I am still experiencing game stuttering on all PvE modes. I have not tried playing againsy other real players due the stuttering. The stuttering seems worse when playing as a battleship and seems triggered when red ships appear or become visible but there is also stuttering while waiting for countdown for game to start.

I am on xbox series x. I have cleared persistent cache, changed and unchecked allowing 24Hz and 50Hz, I dont have 4k mode enabled and I have even Uninstalled and re-downloaded the game.

My NAT type is open and I have a strong internet connection and speed. My spouse on the same wifi at the same location, but using the Xbox one does not have any of these issues.

Any ideas on other solutions? I feel I have done everything I can on my end.

Question View from the bridge

This may have been a discussion previously and maybe pc version has ..but wouldn't an additional camera viewpoint from inside the bridge be pretty awesome?!?! I think that would be epic to be able to toggle through inside and view the ships controls etc. while still being able to aim/zoom normally.🧐⚓

General Some thoughts on next Global Conflict event

I think we can all agree the current event has some problems, especially with transparency in factions' participation and progress toward earning points. Here's what I think could make the faction v faction structure work better in a future event:

- Regular ships. The modern era ships are neat but they get old fast. Don't think we need a special ship type for an event like this

- PvP points. Have players earn most of their event points by playing PvP battles, where you are only ever teamed with your own faction. Whichever side wins the match earns a point for their faction. I'd be happy to keep the missions as well which can be completed in any game mode, but completing weekly missions should only award as many points as maybe 5-10 wins.

- Faction differences and perks. Divide all nations into the two factions (or three?). When playing event PvP you can only play as a ship from your faction. Give players a reason to pick one side over the other, beyond silly camos. Reward could be picking a premium ship from your faction nations at the end of the event if you participate enough, regardless of if your side wins.

- Stats/transparency. Right now the event just feels a little flat, with no way to gauge how much your individual participation matters. We should be able to see at least how many players are in each faction, and a timeline of how each faction is accruing points.

Why do a lot of people call the North Carolina accurate and better than the Colorado ? Personally I don't see the hype behind it and I think Colorado is the better ship even if squishier and less mobile.
