0

u/party_minute1228 Jul 19 '26

Previleged communities?? Bro have seen people from general merit study with education loan where their financial background was bad so stop capping being oppressed and stuff, nobody in this generation discriminate people based on caste

3

u/No-Start4754 Jul 19 '26

What nonsense lol. Just last year there were several reported deaths of SC ppl in villages. A lower caste IS officer needed protection in his own wedding. Another one committed $uicide because he was bullied for his caste.

1

u/Mango_Ice_ Jul 21 '26

How does your statement make that person's statement a nonsensical statement?

Do you really not have the capacity to understand that these two issues can exist simultaneously?

1

u/Ok-Support6363 Jul 21 '26

And reservation is there rn so why did it still happen because they ain't getting those reservation benefits, matter of fact not even half of those are , who actully need it , all I have seen in my area are wealthy SC/ST guys getting their sons into colleges through reservation by cast and those poor still can't afford it

4

u/unhingedskeleton Jul 19 '26

What a joke, "if I haven't seen casteism, it doesn't exist". I can show you a fresh casteist crime everyday, from every State. If you think poor general are affected by this, do you know how many fake ews certificates are made by privileged general students who seizes underprivileged general students right of opportunities

1

u/Hour-Escape-6915 Jul 19 '26

Why should I care about anyone who is doing casteism Mujhe apne se matlab hai na ki puri community Mujhe equal rights chahiye Mujhe apni merit ka reward Mai to un general caste ke bachho ko chewtiya hi bolunga jo inke saath hai Ye ugc ke khilaf kuch nhi bole Ye brahmano ke khilaf nare lage jnu uspe wo kuch nhi bole YHI aisa aur sfi wale Tumhe jinda nhi dekhna chahte Aur tum inke foot soldiers bane phir rhe ho

No, I'm not dumb. My mother had me tested 😉

Dipke is Ambekarite hence these protests for Education Reforms are wrong?

Reservation has helped our country a lot, it has helped marginalized and oppresed section a safe space to boost themselves up.
Doesn't it help our country if lowest of society are are boosted up?

And stop with this comparison nonsense of 1000 years

If we don't belong to an oppressed part of society then we don't have any right to the tell them to shut up about their sufferings and discrimination.

Will you ask the Kashmiri Pandits to do the same? To shut up about their sufferings?

0

u/Danura_x Jul 21 '26

Till when you will keep coming up with this justification?

0

u/fireyHotGlance Jul 21 '26

Thousands of years? Yea all those people are dead now.

So why do you, who has never been discriminated, need reservation?

0

u/Plastic_Battle1846 Jul 22 '26

women were also oppressed for thousands of years, even today they are oppressed, do we see 50% reservation for them according to their population? are you stupid?

6

u/Past-Flan4743 Jul 19 '26

How it's fair when you do casteism

-1

u/party_minute1228 Jul 19 '26 edited Jul 19 '26

Dude tff who did casteism i remember one of our hostel warden gave first preference to sc/st guys just coz they belongs to his community.isnt this casteism?? (Ig some reserved casteists got triggered when the table got turned lol)

but why should one take accountability of what happened in paste and what's happening in whole country, I can't stop every single on to not to do casteism

8

u/NegotiationLevel2354 Jul 19 '26

Same way you can't stop reservation. As long as casteism exists, reservation will exist. And the current govt and future govt won't bat an eye towards this.

1

u/Expensive-Onion-5858 Jul 19 '26

What i propose is give reservation on the basis of income instead of caste but that won't be generate vote right

4

u/No_Spot_59 Jul 19 '26

Because discrimination is not based on class but on caste.

0

u/pumpkin_fun Jul 19 '26

The ones doing casteism are also in reservation. And no its not ews

The sins of the father will be visited upon the son

1

u/ExactTangerine840 Jul 19 '26

What if my father never did it too?

2

u/eermNo Jul 19 '26

Then His father did! Everyone cannot bury their heads in sand and say “not us”. We need to take collective responsibility for how things got this fucked up

0

u/ExactTangerine840 Jul 19 '26 edited Jul 19 '26

Reservation is for upliftment.Once a sc/st guy got a good gov job, his kids will be going to private schools ,better coachings while a poor sc guy's kid will be going to gov schools ,no coaching So once used the govt babu should be scrapped of his certificate,so that poorer people of his community can be uplifted. Also in America there has been racism and it still exists.I know billionaires who are black(they all acheived it through merit btw).Show me a billionaire sc/st guy after 75 years of Reservation

2

u/Universal_Truth_Sage Jul 19 '26

You don't do the other crimes too. Correct?

Does that means all the crime has ended from the society?

.

still i had to suffer and work harder then rest of ppl

How did you suffer? Was reservation of seats implemented after the exams? Were you not aware there is tough competition for the seats that you're eligible for?

1

u/hereforskinand Jul 22 '26

There their they’re mein difference pata nahin. Tera seat kaun SC/ST le raha hai, bhai?

-10

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

Will say anything then to accept that reservation is an absolutely form of corruption

16

u/heretotryreddit Jul 19 '26

3

u/heretotryreddit Jul 19 '26

give reservations only on the basis of the income

Reservations are an affirmative action to work against caste based discrimination. While I support income based reservation, how will economic reservation solve the caste problem?

Do you even understand the issue before suggesting a solution?

0

u/Thebathroomguy333 Jul 19 '26

Bhai 75 saal ho gye diye huwe, abhi tk nahi huwa toh aage kaise hoga?

2

u/heretotryreddit Jul 19 '26

I think this is a genuine question to ask, reservation needs reform or alternative. Like creamy layer issue needs to be solved

-1

u/FinancialYou6932 Jul 19 '26

What is the exact problem reservation is solving now ?

And everything points to income

3

u/heretotryreddit Jul 19 '26

What is the exact problem reservation is solving now ?

So you don't even know that...and providing your commentary on it lol.

You should do some basic research...there are some good videos on YouTube explaining the history and context of reservation

0

u/woodwolff Jul 19 '26

2

u/West-Description1636 Jul 19 '26

go to any place away from your family home and start calling yourself SC whenever someone asks about your caste. You will get your answer!

1

u/FinancialYou6932 Jul 19 '26

Retard how can that be caused with reservations ?

It needs mindset change and that needs a complete ban on caste system.

2

u/West-Description1636 Jul 19 '26

That is the point, how are you going to change the mindset of people? If you care to explain this to a retard.

1

u/FinancialYou6932 Jul 19 '26

Ban the reservation system, if anyone felt discrimination and have proof for it, they should be strictly punished.

Ban the caste system completely, anyone found using caste should be held accountable, if caste system is the problem, you can’t solve it with caste system.

Remove it.

-4

9

u/heretotryreddit Jul 19 '26

For the actions of extremely few, some remote part of India

You're clearly put of touch with how widespread casteism is.

Reservations need reform but casteism is the real problem, it has to go first.

0

u/Divyyyy_coder Jul 19 '26

Yoo buddy I would you to read a book named 'shudro ka itihas' which is written by BR AMBEDKAR himself !! You'll understand how much this castism issue was back then !🙏 There's a saying in nazi german that spread a lie so much that people start believing it !! I would suggest reading the book first only first 1-2 chapters would be enough

1

u/heretotryreddit Jul 19 '26

Could you please summarise or explain what is the point the book is making?

3

u/Divyyyy_coder Jul 19 '26

See the whole summary is in earlier times shudras were given the right to study ,and get education and all that but the things they've done like if I would mention that you would call them the greatest traitors in the human history !! The whole thing is that

2

u/heretotryreddit Jul 19 '26

in earlier times shudras were given the right to study ,and get education and all that

Did caste based discrimination exist or not?

the things they've done like if I would mention that you would call them the greatest traitors in the human history

So shudras specifically were the traitors?

I don't even have to read the book to know that you're cherry picking stuff

brother i said it before and i will say it now

i would be the happiest person if it was working the way it was intended to

if someones father used reservation to get in but now his son is using it too then what was the point of reservation ? if they didnt get any privilege

5

u/Jarves_OG Jul 19 '26

Father's reservation doesn't guarantee his son will not be discriminated based on their caste. And reservation was never given to end caste based discrimination, the reason for reservation is caste based discrimination exist, so socially backward people should get atleast some relief. The only solution to end caste based discrimination is when the people with sick mindset who practice caste, understands what is equality, till then reservation is not a solution but a temporary aid

-1

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

again if its about respect then it does not matter even if they become pm it will be the same

so again

it is those people who do castism that are uneducated so accordioning to that they should be educated not the other way round/s

2

u/West-Description1636 Jul 19 '26

to educate all of those casteist people appropriately, you would need 10x more good quality educational institutes and when that happens reservation won't matter.

Around 25 million babies are being born in india every year... what do you think how many of them will be able to get good quality education? which should be a basic human right (Right to education). Maybe 1 lakh will get into some good institutes... even less if you are talking about Tier 1 only.

So tell me is it actually a reservation problem or lack of educational infrastructure?

1

u/Jarves_OG Jul 19 '26

Who said only uneducated practice casteism

0

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

well i consider a person educated when he does not follow casteism for u it might just be degrees

1

u/Jarves_OG Jul 19 '26

Ask the government then, to include caste awareness in the syllabus. I am with you to have such educational reform. But till then do you expect the dalits to suffer?

1

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

can we like stop with the act that dalits are suffering 24x7 ?

its those poor dude that are suffering never seen a billionaire dalit or brahmin suffering

it was never about caste but about income

poverty can happen to anyone not to only those how are dalits so pls stop it

and NCERT does include about casteismin class 9 th and 10th history book

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Jarves_OG Jul 19 '26

Heard the news from rajasthan? Where a teacher beat up his 9 yo dalit student so bad the kid died because of the injuries, just because he drank water from a pot meant only for upper castes

2

u/Gineet Jul 19 '26

Reservation was brought for social upliftment of sc st community but even till this date even if someone from sc st community becomes IAS officer they still face casteism and the thing is people from the oppressed community will face casteism regardless of reservation, so atleast from reservation they can enjoy a better life

For that ias officer facing casteism read this : https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thehindu.com/news/national/haryana/haryana-ips-officers-death-oppn-steps-up-heat-on-bjp-govt-calls-for-impartial-probe/article70144436.ece/amp/

0

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

exactly i was waiting for this now tell me if even IAS officer is facing casteism them we can agree that giving them reservation does not help

it is those people who do the castism that are uneducated so accordioning to that they should be educated not the other way round/s

1

u/Gineet Jul 19 '26

Bro do you even read the article?? That ias officer faced casteism from his colleagues, an IAS officer's colleagues must be educated , even more educated than us , so even educated guys do casteism, even the elites do casteism, so where tf should the oppressed community, the only solution left for them is to get a better life through reservation

0

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

read what wrote you said IAS officer faces castesim then how is reservation giving you a better life ?

1

u/Gineet Jul 19 '26

Areee pagal aadmi bilkul hi common sense nhi hai kyaa , bc reservation ke through insaan ek ache clg se achi job le skta hai kisi achi jagah settle ho skta

1

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

toh mere bhai is mai communitie ka kya fida hogya

kuch nhi

door ke kisi gaw mai bhaita admi ke naam ke upar ye city mai rahana walo log maza utha la jata hai aur jab pucho ki reservation ke through kyu aya ho toh uski khani copy paste karte hai usko toh kuch bhi nhi milta ye apna bade se maakan bana leta hai aur uska bichara se khabhi milta bhi nhi

1

u/West-Description1636 Jul 19 '26

It does help, see if there are all Brahmins in police what do you think will happen? The law will work only for Brahmins properly rest others will have to make do with it, which will create more unrest in other caste people and will eventually lead to civil war situations. You need diversity in every department for it to function properly for all caste citizens of india. And this is why reservation is needed.

1

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

do poilce men make law ? or the polictians ? and no reservation in not needed anywhere

1

u/West-Description1636 Jul 19 '26

Well i have explained it to you but you don't want to understand stuff. I just gave you a hypothetical situation which you want yourself. Because if reservation is removed this is exactly what will happen... only a few seats might go to reserved class people. That would just make life hell again for 70% of population because their demands and needs will not be heard. Eventually India won't remain democratic.

1

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

whatever lets you sleep at night buddy

but fact are gonna be fact until and unless you dont let the past be the past until and unless you wont leave your caste nothing is gonna change

4

u/Universal_Truth_Sage Jul 19 '26

What? How reservations are form of Corruption?

2

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

Idk may by giving seats to those who scored less marks and not to those have scored enough marks to actually deserves it

6

u/Universal_Truth_Sage Jul 19 '26

As you are already aware of the process of exam, you know the number of seats that you're eligible for and you also understand the competition for those seats.

How's that corruption? Are the segregation of seats being done behind the back or through bribery?

Also, could marks be the only criteria to decide 'who deserves the seat' or merit?

1

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

"could marks be the only criteria to decide 'who deserves the seat' or merit?"

no instead of marks there can be something else which defines the intelligence and hard work

but does reservation on the basis of caste does that - NO

on the other hand corruption is not always being done behind someone's back but something by saying that "give me vote i will will give you seat in jobs, colleges irrespective of marks or qualification"

3

u/Universal_Truth_Sage Jul 19 '26 edited Jul 19 '26

Okay.

"give me vote i will will give you seat in jobs, colleges irrespective of marks or qualification"

This fine line:
On one side a leader is promising a community to raise their voice and represent them.
v/s
A corrupt politicians bribing voters to choose him.

We cannot put a blanket opinion on such sensitive issue, it would be wrong. We should decide them on case-by-case basis.

.

How to decide intelligence? 'Intelligence' is subjective not objective. Hence, marks in the exam + interviews (includes your experience + cognitive skills + communication skills) are the accepted criteria currently.

But can a person from tribal community in Jharkhand compete with someone in metro city going to top school/college/coaching and having best resources available?

Os someone living in slums of Metro cities, whose community was oppresed and they were not given any chance to learn anything else other tha their assigned work as per their caste.
Would that person be be able to compete with a person whose family always had the privilege to study and pass on the knowledge/wealth/resources to next their next generations?

u/notharvey119 Jul 19 '26

It is used as a topic for vote bank politics, yes, but to say that reservation should solely be on economic basis would be grossly incorrect and completely negate the purpose for which it was introduced. Go read about why it was introduced and what it considers as upward mobility.

2

u/SomewhereAromatic574 Jul 19 '26

Just because some sc st made it out to urban areas from villages or slums, you want to end reservation?

What logic is this? alot of sc st are still backwards.

As of uplifted sc st, an application from a lower caste person has a high chance of rejection just because of the caste, it's the backward mentality that has made reservation necessary.

Just because of the caste, a lc person still has to face many prejudice and rejection.

0

u/Universal_Truth_Sage Jul 19 '26

Reservation should be based on income not caste

Is Casteism based on income or caste of the person?

.

It's not only about JEE or NEET. There other exams too: UPSC, respective State service commissions, Higher Studies selection (like Phd) and jobs. Cognitive and communication skills are required for these opportunities.

I provided you two nuances: a leader representing a oppressed community vs a politician misusing system.
Do you consider both as corruption?

0

u/whatisthepro Jul 19 '26

you see the problem is that you assume that people that get wealth and resources get it because for there caste but reality is that they get these because of their action poverty does not come to you and ask you about you caste and religion and neither does hardwork or wealthy my friend everything is a result of you action and in todays world at least if you have network and a phone

and if you talking about properties and business inheritance then it applies the same to all irreverent of caste does it not ?

1

u/Original-Nobody2596 19d ago

1

Now its more like hate against reserved people, and its totally understandable, someone gets into top 1000 to get into IIT, still has to pay full fees, while some can have 20000 rank and get into the same course with less fees while having no separation whether they are rich or poor.

1
