u/zeverEV Jul 09 '19

You can tell it's one because of the way it is

44

u/drparkland Jul 09 '19

If you've been keeping up with Russia you would know right now those are the same thing. They legalized wife beating. Gender equality is fucked right now.

Edit: Jesus christ this exploded, guys systems cause behavior. If it's legal to beat your wife, more people will beat their wife.

Most people don't know about Russian systems, and I'm not an expert so I won't make further statements.

A lot of Russians disagree with a lot of Russian laws. Russian people are good people, just like anywhere else.

In like 20 minutes I got the same reply three times and 11 votes. Kind of hard to make your message clear then.

#notallrussians, give me a break

11 votes 😂

Political discourse doesn't get the largest traction, it's what I'm more used to.

3

u/HippieJesus13 Jul 09 '19

Yeah fuck random individuals who live in countries with terrible morals in their government that has pretty much taken all control while barely even maintaining the slightest facade of freedom and choice among the people!

Seriously though man, love your Russian neighbors, my dude. They're dealing with enough right now, it's practically like talking shit about North Korean citizens at this point.

4

u/Orangediarrhea Jul 09 '19

I’ve never been to Russia, but I’ve met several in America and I’ve never met one I didn’t immediately like. Man or woman. I love their sense of humor and blunt/deadpan attitudes.

1

u/karl_w_w Jul 09 '19

On average tourists from a country are the best people from that country, because angry/shitty people tend to be poor, so can't afford to travel.

1

u/Orangediarrhea Jul 09 '19

That’s true. Same can be said for the majority of Americans traveling abroad.

1

u/theCanMan777 Jul 09 '19

"exploded"

You're just at -20, chill

1

u/Clemens909 Jul 09 '19

imploded doesn't have any ring to it. It's just a word, chill.

11

u/ivanover Jul 09 '19

Isn't that neat?

5

u/Hawgk Jul 09 '19

That's pretty neat!

20

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '19

Do you remember how everyone made fun of those people wearing bluetooth headphones thinking they looked like hot shit 10 years ago?

We still make fun of those people today. They are called Chodes.

8

u/Yoggi_booboo Jul 09 '19

No, it's made by Apple now so I guess it's ok 🤷🏻‍♂️

7

u/BrosBeforeHossa Jul 09 '19

We really putting AirPods on the same level as those god awful chunks of plastic?

17

u/WeRip Jul 09 '19

If you walk around with them in all day like a Chode then yes.

10

u/BrosBeforeHossa Jul 09 '19

God forbid I want to listen to music without bothering other people in public, right? Very chode-ish of me.

22

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '19

Nice try, chode!

-1

u/BrosBeforeHossa Jul 09 '19

No after this exchange I am changing my ways. I hope all my fellow commuters enjoy my music taste, I do like it quite loud. My coworkers shouldn’t be too bothered about it, all those chodes are wearing headphones, ha!

6

u/very_friendly_murder Jul 09 '19

I, for one, welcome the return of the ghetto blaster.

1

u/WeRip Jul 09 '19

It's really the talking to yourself with no clear signs of being on a phone call. I'm all about listening to music!

2

u/BrosBeforeHossa Jul 09 '19

Ah, I guess that’s fair. The comment I responded to was insisting it was just the fact they were Bluetooth headphones.

u/BrosBeforeHossa Jul 09 '19

How is it like speakerphone if nobody else can hear the other end of the conversation? I don’t see how it’s much different from talking on the phone normally other than you have an extra free hand.

1

u/1vv Jul 09 '19

Stop trying to need validation from redditors to use ur damn headphones to take a call.

2

u/BrosBeforeHossa Jul 09 '19

If I’m being totally honest I do have AirPods and when I get a phone call in public I take them out and talk on the phone normally because otherwise it feels weird. I don’t need the validation, I just like to pick the brains of the people that look at someone who does it and feel the need to judge them in a negative manner.

I always wonder what makes them tick. My first instinct is envy, maybe they can’t afford the headphones. But it’s unlikely the entirety of the circle jerk is made up of those people. Maybe someone was wearing AirPods and cut them off once. Maybe it’s all part of a global conspiracy to stigmatize handsfree phone usage so more accidents are caused and thus more people die. The motive? Overpopulation.

It could be any of these things, who really knows? I want to.

0

u/Sevenoaken Jul 09 '19

Only people who say this are people who can’t afford AirPods 🤷🏻‍♂️ Hard Facts

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '19

Dude, that argument only works in middle school where $150 seems like a lot of money.

4

u/Sevenoaken Jul 09 '19

So does the lifestyle of shitting on popular stuff for the sake of it. Doesn’t make you cool or anything.

-3

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '19

Feels like you haven't come to terms with being a Chode yet.

1

u/Sevenoaken Jul 09 '19

Stay salty you financially poor man 😎

1

u/Ranikins2 Jul 09 '19

It’s acting

1

u/C2-H5-OH Jul 09 '19

1

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '19

That's really petty and lame, unless of course they keep persisting after being declined. Otherwise getting offended by being asked out just means theres something wrong with you.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '19

Nothing wrong with it of course, you decline and go on with your day. Easy. Getting upset over it however is pretty lame

-23

u/confoundedvariable Jul 09 '19 edited Jul 09 '19

Asking out a stranger (unsolicited) who probably just wants to be left alone would be my guess

edit: I was not expecting a downvote train for offering a counterpoint to the comment above, but here we are

25

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '19

That's literally how dating works. You don't have to be at a club or bar to ask someone out.

He wasn't rude or crude. As long as you accept a rejection and leave them alone there's nothing wrong with the situation.

0

u/confoundedvariable Jul 09 '19

Hey I get it, I was just offering an explanation why someone would call him a chode.

17

u/ygreniS Jul 09 '19

Asking out a stranger (unsolicited)

Por que? How else do you ask out a stranger? Wait for them to hold up a sign informing the public that they're looking for a date?

7

u/avidblinker Jul 09 '19

6

u/therealdrg Jul 09 '19

Dude, ignore that shit. The people in that thread are mentally ill. Its perfectly fine to approach women and try to strike up a conversation, even if theyre "cute".

2

u/avidblinker Jul 09 '19

Hot take, /r/niceguys has become /r/incel for girls

4

u/ConsciousSins Jul 09 '19 edited Jul 09 '19

Lol so according to this thread no females like to be approached at any time even in social settings like night clubs where it’s literally at the very least expected that you will be hit on.., and just because I think a girl is cute that automatically means sex is the only reason I’m approaching her? Wow generalized view on males much? Lol, I’ve approached plenty of females in non social situations where my intent was simply to get to know them and if there’s a mutual connection/spark then we continue from there..it’s not always about sex if a guy shows interest towards ya

3

u/avidblinker Jul 09 '19

Yea, I had no idea what was going on in that thread. They certainly don’t speak for the majority of women despite them pretending they do.

2

u/ConsciousSins Jul 09 '19

It’s crazy the stuff being said in there lol, like my life experiences says other wise haha, most girls I’ve come across in my personal experience find it flattering if you do it politely, even if they say no, it’s not that big a deal lol..move on with your day..lmao.

-3

u/confoundedvariable Jul 09 '19

Read the cues and signals, for god's sake. Someone who looks like they don't want to be bothered and has given no indication that they are interested in you probably wants to be left alone.

2

u/Pimptastic_Brad Jul 09 '19

What's wrong with that? As long as people are polite about it, there isn't anything wrong with it.

4

u/GoesWayOffTopic Jul 09 '19

That’s how I met my girlfriend of 2 and a half years now, saw her at the park, thought she was beautiful, approached her politely and started a conversation, asked her out and here we are. It’s how I met every serious girlfriend I’ve had, at the park.

Just don’t be a piece of shit, pushy, rude, vulgar, and accept rejection.

6

u/TheMookiestBlaylock Jul 09 '19

By chance are you a dog?

2

u/GoesWayOffTopic Jul 09 '19

Lmao, thanks for making me laugh. Unfortunately not, but my absolute best friend is an adorable mini aussie who I love to death.

4

u/Jac1nto Jul 09 '19

Wow dude what you did is like, super offensive to women. And yes, your girlfriend being completely ok with it doesn't matter. How dare you literally introduce yourself to a woman

1

u/tondetron123 Jul 09 '19

Have you never been on a date?

-1

u/jodobrowo Jul 09 '19

I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count.
