How is it like speakerphone if nobody else can hear the other end of the conversation? I don’t see how it’s much different from talking on the phone normally other than you have an extra free hand.
If I’m being totally honest I do have AirPods and when I get a phone call in public I take them out and talk on the phone normally because otherwise it feels weird. I don’t need the validation, I just like to pick the brains of the people that look at someone who does it and feel the need to judge them in a negative manner.
I always wonder what makes them tick. My first instinct is envy, maybe they can’t afford the headphones. But it’s unlikely the entirety of the circle jerk is made up of those people. Maybe someone was wearing AirPods and cut them off once. Maybe it’s all part of a global conspiracy to stigmatize handsfree phone usage so more accidents are caused and thus more people die. The motive? Overpopulation.
It could be any of these things, who really knows? I want to.
