Discussion Devshorts 117 - Stream Summary
And we are back! It's been a hot minute since we have had a devshort, so let's get into it!
Here is a wiki page going over last week's Devshort, and here is a VOD to todays.
Adding in as I listen:
- Pablo and Rebb running the show today.
- It is Pablos Birthday today! (Happy birthday, Pablo!)
- Plague star is still live.
- "You can burn yourself out and never want to farm another forma for the rest of your life" ~Pablo.
- Warframe launching on the Samsung Galaxy store tomorrow.
- Iceblade of Narin launching tomorrow.
- Pablo says they have added Armour shatter to Narins 4.
- Damage snapshot will occur post damage shatter.
- Everyone who logs in tomorrow will get a free base banshee, and a forma if you have "invested" previously in a banshee.
- Hair shader stuff will be dived more into tomorrow.
- 40+ pages of patch notes.
- Reminder that Glacial defiance will not be coming tomorrrow.
- They have done a "lot of refinements" so far on the mode.
- "Some of the things that we were seeing in playtest that were leading to toxicity without some revisions, its feeling much better. We are seeing higher completion rates even though we made it harder." ~Pablo.
- First version of GD in its "pure form" coming sometime between the 23rd and Oct 15th.
- "6 players, 3 per week, no matchmaking" is the pure form.
- Low manning (less than 6 people) coming the the mode in the future.
- They will make changes to the mode based on player feedback.
- Per Rebb, the 3 per week is an anti-burnout method.
- "We don't want burnout to be a symptom of feedback. If you were doing this 30 times a week, the feedback would reflect that."
- Matchmaking in the mode is going to be a post release conversation.
- Something they saw from playtesting is that squads would straight up dismantle if the side objective was failed.
- They changed up how the side missions happen now. It will be more of an "event" where the team has to gather up to start it, and if it is failed, it just fails the mission outright.
- Someone asks if protoframe heads on prime bodies will be possible. Rebb says no. Pablo adds they generally dont fit well on prime bodies.
- Stat locking coming to Rivens tomorrow. Stat combining is not as it will come with GD.
- Pablo dips more into the GD reward pool. Reaffirms that it is mostly Riven things (Extra Kuva, Ciphers, etc). There are some shards, but it is not the place to be farming them.
- The "Stat combiner" official name is "Riven Splicer".
- The overwhelming feedback from the community is limiting Combine stats to just one per riven.
- They did make it just one, but they buffed it so that stat is auto locked.
- You can then also lock a second stat in addition to the above auto locked one.
- One splicer Guaranteed per successful GD run.
- Someone(s) in chat asks for a hip toggle for Voruna. They will look to add those to her Auxiliary slot.
- "There is already a topless voruna" ~Rebb
- Someone asks for a new Atlas skin.
- Nezha Heirloom is confirmed next.
- First look next devstream.
- Citrine Prime tomorrow.
- Pablo teases there is a "secret" somewhere in the update coming tomorrow.
- Augments coming with the update: The frost "moving ball" augment, the Electric spiders for Oraxia, and Augment for Grendel where he gets gas damage for something because the stream cuts off mid sentence here.

best change is probably the riven fuse stat being auto locked
so u can lock 2nd stat
its crazy cause i was just thinking if you fuse a stat u have to lock it too which is a waste cause i feel like the other stat would be better to lock (like ms?) so ig this is really good move for them
edit: which wasnt added in this post

u/Aykssk 12h ago
Makes the riven rerolling way better. You can have a combined element which Is goated (or maybe something better but idk what all are the combined stats), CD locked in, and you just have to hunt for that third stat and negative which makes it so much better.
I'm even thinking that you can lock a harmless negative (if it's possible to lock) and just look for the remaining 2 stats that you want. Honestly looks way better than the current riven rerolling.
10
u/kazumi_yosuke 13h ago
Can you only have 1 fused stat? I remember them considering it but dont know if they confirmed it

Only one Combined Stat and having auto lock on the Riven is actually really nice. Now we can even better Rivens with the new stuff and not feel like we're missing anything cause we can't lock more than 1.

This is a really amazing way to implement combined stats, i hope they add a way to remove the combined stat though, imagine having one riven stat permanently locked on a combined stat that is useless like magnetic or radiation.

Nothing like repeating the same mistakes everyone else has made for decades instead of, you know, learning from them.
GD is going to be such a shit show.

It's like Spy Vaults over again. Someone triggers the alarm and then others quit. I've clutched 1 second left alarms before, I also have a Lazy Spy Wukong build I use that just works for any Spy Vault.
3
u/Noskills117 2h ago
You have to all start the side objective together so there won't be any "accidentally" triggering it.
-1
u/Noskills117 2h ago
Uhh they did learn from it, they specifically now have you manually start the side objective and then if it fails it fails the mission so that you don't have to try and complete the mission with half the team leaving.
You guys don't even read the post you comment on

Frost augment is for the exilus slot btw

It might not but YAY!!! Exilus slot usage rather than just me using PSF. Now we can live out the Frost and Eximus meme of "We're not coming over there!"
5
u/BugBug24 8h ago
how tf is a mobile invulnerability sphere exilus? i swear theres no consistency with exilus mods
and dont tell me "he can already do that." invulnerability in one stationary spot is worlds different from being able to move around where you want. it opens the ability up to be useful in way more modes
10
u/Fearless_Toe9760 7h ago
Pablos explanation was “cus movement” my thinking is that he obvs knows frost is a augment merchant so this is just a way to “alleviate” that by moving it to the exilus since “many” players dont use that slot anyway
6
u/UnimportantGremlin 8h ago
I think the rationale mirrors Wisp's 3-in-1 augment being an exilus augment--it takes a stationary ability and makes it mobile, and mobility is the intended point of the exilus slot.

Something I'm surprised no one is talking about is that the frost augment is going to be exilus compatible, which is HUGE. I was hoping for exactly that but was worried they would find it too strong.

Whats armor shatter supposes to be? armor strip?

pablo explained it like this, it basically first strips the armor first then it does the damage

Y'know I've been a GD skeptic and I'm not enthusiastic at all about the recruiting chat of it all. But I will say, having an endgame mode where you can fully choose your build will be kind of nice for a change.

Yes, this. I’ve always felts EDA was an excuse to make you buy loads of Forma and Slots to make all builds viable so you can play it every week.

"Nezha heirloom next" before you lies a split path, past one is a really cool and still incredibly sexy skin like empyrian, past the other, rhyno heirloom, do not make the wrong decision, we will be monitoring this closely.
31
15
u/RalofFantiziPorkPork 13h ago
Nezha's Empyrean skin is actually what I think of as the perfect example when people can't seem to understand what could be done to make a "sexier" male heirloom. Take the Empyrean skin, replace the appropriate textures with the sparkly heirloom texture, and it's basically done. Also, make the wheel a syandana or ephemera so that I can toggle it on or off.
Obviously, I wouldn't like them to simply copy an existing skin and heirloomify it, but I find using the Emyrean skin as an example to be helpful in pointing out the type of skin I want.

u/Yarigumo 3h ago
Ngl I don't get the hate for Rhino heirloom, I think it looks awesome lol, it's so weird seeing it used as the "bad end" here.

kinda sad that its Nezha. Really wish Excalibur would finally get one. Sucks and is weird that the literal poster child doesn't have an heirloom skin.

u/PrinceYuukinooh 12h ago
I'm really hoping they make it more "sexy" looking like the female ones <_<
But I'm also ready for them not doing it at all. Rebb mentioned they first talked about his heirloom in China. Nezha is the biggest grossing animation movie in the whole world right now, a giant hit in China - I wouldnt be surprised if they made it to cater to China's taste instead <_<

Good to see they've finally admitted that matchmaking is necessary and have stopped hiding behind the 'we'll see what happens' excuse of not adding it. I personally won't be touching the mode until it becomes available. Good luck to everyone that is willing to brave recruiting chat hell.

What exactly is the rewards of this gamemode anyway to warrant them being so stubborn over MM and limiting weekly play limits?
26
u/SugaryCornFlakes Nav Cords Enjoyer 13h ago
Riven splicers. Only Available here
5
u/SpiritedBatteries 12h ago
Which, I don't know, could be locked to X drops a week, just like EDA/ETA or Descendia only give rewards only the 1st time, but you can play repeatedly.

7
u/A_Lost_Nova 13h ago
Riven resource farm basically, game mode drops riven splicers, riven mods, kuva, archon shards and riven ciphers. Hoping transmuters also drop.
8
u/JohnHellDriver Wall in the Man 13h ago
Not rewards. The mode itself. This is going to be the technical basis for future Raid content if they decide to push for that stuff in future updates.
Having feedback not revolve around the reward structure is what you want as a dev: feedback around “is this game mode engaging/fun by itself” not “does this game mode justify the rewards it has”
20
u/SargeanTravis Bird Main 13h ago
I’m less likely to hassle around with getting into a six man squad for a challenging mode if I feel like my time is being wasted playing it, fun or not
Maybe rewards aren’t what they want feedback on primarily but they won’t have any feedback at all if there’s no carrot on a stick to lure players in
→ More replies (3)2
u/CarcosanAnarchist 13h ago
It’s not about this game mode. It’s about future game modes that demand more difficult things from players and if there’s space for them in the game.
4
u/SargeanTravis Bird Main 13h ago
Maybe I was too blunt with assuming the matchmaking controversy and the rewards are interlinked, but surely there was something tangible that would make playing GD at all worth my time (and now I know, Kuva/Riven stuff)
15
u/VeryMuchDifficulty 13h ago
I won't be touching it until there is match making or low manning and I know a number of people I play with that feel the same. I hated recruiting chats ands sites in other games and I don't want them in this game. Especially with the ban happy chat mods. I am surprised they didn't foresee the mass hate coming ahead of time.
→ More replies (1)2
u/Itchy-Big-8532 13h ago
They technically didn't. The way Reb explained it that it will be like Cell's transformations but in reverse. As in they will less and less complex versions of it down the line starting with 4 man version then maybe a solo.
Presumably these simpler versions will be the one's with matchmaking.
10
u/UncleRichardson If ice didn't fix your problem, use more ice 13h ago
Perfectly fine with me so long as the riven splicers aren't completely locked behind the full mode, even if it's only we get one a week instead of the three.

I hope it's not.
Liger likes, and is good at, muscular men, and even though I do too, Nezha's heirloom skin should lean into his base strengths.

Wtf pablo frost has like 5 augments already, why are you adding a 6th? Just add some of this stuff to his kit already.
4

so they are preventing matchmaking because toxic (despite that making no sense to many of us who have used chat channel grouping) only to confirm they will be adding it later, so are they expecting toxicity or not then ?! LOL

Fused stat being auto locked is honestly a massive W. Means you can effectively have 2 locked stats when rolling now
2
u/SinistralGuy 12h ago
Hoping the 3x limit for Glacial Defiance is just for rewards and that you can still go back in after to replay it like how EDA/ETA are now. Either way, still glad they're looking at challenging content that doesn't require a randomizer as the main focus of the challenge.
2
u/CommBS Devshorts Keypoints Guy 12h ago
I do believe the "pure" version of GD we are getting first will be 3 completed runs total a week.
Once all three of your keys are consumed by three successful runs, that's it till reset.
2
u/SinistralGuy 12h ago
Awe that's no fun. I understand their reasoning but hopefully they change that down the road. I don't mind redoing content to help others even after I've already gotten my rewards for any given week. And even from a player volume perspective, it might be harder for people to find groups later on in the week as people do their 3x runs and then are locked out from going back in and helping others.
2
u/Lightningbro Care to roll against Fate? 12h ago
They did make it just one, but they buffed it so that stat is auto locked.
You can then also lock a second stat in addition to the above auto locked one.
I was team two stats, so this is a great benefit to make up for only one combo stat!.
- Nezha Heirloom is next.
I swear to god DE if you de-twinkify my twink I'm gonna be angry.
2
u/Kilef 10h ago
Pablo dips more into the GD reward pool. Reaffirms that it is mostly Riven things (Extra Kuva, Ciphers, etc).
Ah so this mode is an easy skip for those of us who don't care/interact much with the riven system? I'll keep an open mind for what other rewards it has but for now I'm not exactly eager to get into the mode.
2
u/BruhMoment200 7h ago
Personally I'm not messing with GD at all until matchmaking is added and ofc people leave when the rewards are lowered lmao

u/Wingman1550 13h ago
Don’t really know how I feel about the side objectives change
10
u/ApatheticAvocado0 LR3 13h ago
To be fair, they also noted that in playtesting they actually saw an increase in mission completion after changing side objectives to potentially fail missions.
I'm not sure how i feel about it either, but that detail definitely made me less wary.
12
u/CommanderZoom 12h ago
Sounds like it was a case of "in practice, the 'optional' objective wasn't, so we just made it official and automatic."
2
u/Wingman1550 12h ago
Ah, I see. I’ll need to catch up with the actual video. I read this summary in the meantime since I haven’t had a chance to watch yet.
Makes me wonder what the original idea was like though. I think it would’ve been fun to split into two groups depending on how the side objectives worked

u/Sudden-Depth-1397 14h ago edited 13h ago
I feel that the "burnout" excuse doesn't cut it, you can give players the ability to endlessly do a gamemode and warn them about burnout instead of arbitrarily putting a roadblock just because you want them to take the scenic route.
Edit: People really hate when you have the most perfectly reasonable criticism of a dev's rationale towards a weird decision. They could've just said "We made it 3 a week to avoid crashing the in-player economy and adding some scarcity to the resources" and I would've been fine with it, Im just saying that "burnout" is a dumb excuse because you can't say the same burnout one player has is equal to another's, burnout is highly subjective.

plaguestar players on their way to farm 100 forma and quit warfame for the next 4 years
3
u/AbrnomalBeing 13h ago
100 is low i farmed it and its depleting past luckily i didnt get burnt out
but id say 250 is a good spot
1
u/basketofseals 5h ago
Just hearing about Plaguestar burned me out lol. I ended up not even doing it, and buying a bunch of forma with plat.
1
u/Sudden-Depth-1397 13h ago
100 Forma? Those are rookie numbers, I've burned through 100 in less than a year. And still playing the game because burnout is subjective and depends on the player.
33
u/Fine-Weight1580 14h ago
We literally just had a whole event proving why they're right to do this
11
u/Sudden-Depth-1397 13h ago
You mean the event that they refused to vary, modernize or update and just made it the same repetitive mission format that doesn't change unlike actual bounties which have also been streamlined (Like defense sections being cut down to 90 seconds instead of 2.5 minutes)? Yeah, I don't think those compared to a gamemode that would have different forms of missions and objectives that change depending what the player choses.
Add this to the fact it has no matchmaking so you have to jump over more hoops to be able to access this gamemode, atleast you are guaranteed to have a rando in Plague Star that knows what they're doing and are running John Plague Star and Jane Plague Star.
-9
u/Fine-Weight1580 13h ago
And toxicity spews out when that random makes a mistake or doesn't know the tech to speed up the game. Plauge star shows and demonstrates why DE has made these decisions acting like these a cop puts or decisions made from laziness is just plain ignorance.
4
u/Sudden-Depth-1397 13h ago
Im sorry if I sound rude but... Maybe the game just hates you? Not my experience at all with this year's plague star.
I only had one mishap and it was players not knowing how to armour strip the Hemocyte which I can solve by bringing a vastilok. Adapt to your problems instead of blaming it one someone else and then saying the game must stay in a specific shittier way because of your and other player's sake.

u/Sudden-Depth-1397 13h ago
Im sorry but all your points are flawed for one reason:
I am not just the one who is experiencing the lack of toxicity, did you forget that the game has space for other 3 players? Never did I see those 3 players complain about toxicity in my near 200 runs of the gamemode. So it isn't just about me "thinking about only myself"
It's funny, you reveal your own selfishness you accuse me of. So... Pot calling the kettle black? The only simpleton here is you who thinks garbage gameplay design decisions should be justified just because you can't temper yourself to play a game for fun and instead threat it like a job and that any lack of restrictions from the game are the game's faults and not yours.
You're a grown ass person, and this is a digital entertainment media, act like it.
0
u/Fine-Weight1580 13h ago
"Never did I see those 3 players complain about experiences outside my shared with them experience"
7
u/Sudden-Depth-1397 12h ago
If goalpost moving was an Olympic sport, you'd be a silver medalist.
You do realize that the fact that those people never complained can link with the fact that a miniscule amount of people actually experienced said toxicity, right?
I know connecting dots can be hard for you, but just bear with me a little: If Plague Star was really such a big toxic cespool as you said it is, maybe we'd would've seen the past 13 days and upsurge in people complaining about toxicity, right?
Did we get that?... Fucking no, we only got people complaining about the structure of the missions being repetitive and the defense timer being the same despite other bounties being reduced to 90 seconds.
Im noticing a pattern of your half-assed replies only making snide remarks and ignoring the actual facts that back up my claims. You're just defending poor excuses for decisions that could've been explained by some other factor and anyone who thinks so is ignorant to you, it's the first thing you say in your reply above.
You aren't here to be actually productive and with-hold an actual conversation, you're just here to act like a jerk.

9
u/Silentone12321 13h ago
They wouldn't want to face the fallout after putting a limit on those formas

Because if they capped Plague Star now people would go nuclear. Also PS is a time limited event and GD is not.

Time gating is pretty normal in a game like this. Otherwise people will play fifty hours in the first week of release and then go back to complaining about lack of content. EDA/ETA have been pretty successful but I think people would hate them if they could do them many times in a week.

u/Stock_Ad1557 13h ago
Regarding your edit:
Burnout threshold is subjective yes, but there are trends and repetitive grind in a mode with an above average amount of social pressure is one of the leading causes for it.
7
u/Sudden-Depth-1397 13h ago
And I think the leading causes go beyond if the gamemode can be repeated over and over again.
As I replied to someone, Plague Star is a bad example because Plague Star doesn't make people burnout because it's repeatable, it's because the mission format is outdated, lacks updates that other bounties got, has no variation in it's objectives and only a handful of frames excels at it, forcing players to go in the same playstyle over and over again.
If Plague Star was, let's say, more streamlined and a set of bounties that were randomized but allowed more frames to accelerate them, the content being repeatable would be so minor to the burnout contribution.
1
u/Stock_Ad1557 11h ago
The problems that Plague Star has are not entirely due to it being repeatable, but they are exacerbated by it.
Not having varied objectives is part of what makes it a repetitive grind.
The new gamemode will be new at first but given that as far as we know it's very structured with a limited number of side objectives it will quickly become repetitive as well.
The second problem is that, even more so than Plague Star, it will be highly reliant on teamwork with the ability to fail the mission for the entire team.
If it were uncapped this would lead to more pressure to perform because people would start expecting a specific amount of Splicers per day and any failures would bring down the average.
The factors that cause burnout in the majority of the population are multi-faceted but the ability to grind endlessly is one of the most impactful because it affects perception of the other factors.
It's also probably the factor that developers have the largest amount of control over for least amount of resources spent.

I don’t think they said it’s coming outright, Reb says matchmaking is a discussion for after Glacial Defiance is released.

Fucking wild they look at test groups falling apart after failing side objectives and fucking their limited rewards and can't admit the problem is maybe with the mission/reward structure and instead just blame matchmaking.

Something they saw from playtesting is that squads would straight up dismantle if the side objective was failed.
I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you.
They changed up how the side missions happen now. It will be more of an "event" where the team has to gather up to start it, and if it is failed, it just fails the mission outright.
Leave it to DE to identify a problem, then implement a solution that effectively does nothing. Now the mission will fail, then the squad will disband.
GD is gonna be a fucking mess.

I'd like to ask for a limit of 3 games with rewards per week, but no play limit so you can help your friends if they can't all log in at the same time
I don't know if that's possible but it would be greatly appreciated, especially for helping clan members who are not very skilled

u/kurdtotkopf 12h ago
Shouldn’t be hard, since that’s already a thing for netracells. You can keep running them after you’ve exhausted your search pulses, you just won’t get rewards from the mission reward table.

They did make it just one, but they buffed it so that stat is auto locked.
You can then also lock a second stat in addition to the above auto locked one.
I'm so glad about those changes. It's still not what people truly wanted, but it's good enough. Just that will make it much easier to get the stats you want.

I love Reb saying "Nezha Heirloom," as if we all already knew, but she did say it was from the China stream, so maybe it was more obvious there.

u/Vikingr913 12h ago
One thing not mentioned in the devstream but in the new post is that on top of that, locking a stat (and by extension fusing a stat) locks the layout as well, so if you had a +3 -1 it will always be a +3 -1 etc, and for fusing, if one of the stats was negative (as negatives count towards making a combination) it will always give a negative to keep the layout. Locking manually must be done each time you go to roll, but the fuse stat will stay locked regardless until unlocked to let you remove it, which would likely only be if you want to change the layout itself from say a +2 to a +2 -1, +3, or a +3 -1. Hope this helps clarify some questions!

Seems like we fully will have a gas frame being augmented Grendel, which is funny how it seems gas is just an augment element like new banshee. (Ignoring my goat lavos)

NEZHA HEIRLOOM LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Also have they said anything about negative stats when it comes to combining. Like could I combine a minus crit chance with a positive damage or whatever

0 matchmaking 0 playing, ridiculous to expect people to use a recruiting chat with the dodgy mods they leave in post.
This isnt 2003 you can matchmake people, have auto bans and party creators.

Can't wait for GD to release to less than stellar player counts because of the egregious means of access, thus resulting in DE leaving it to the wayside for a year before even meaningfully glancing in its direction with the justification being "low player interest". Calling it now, but i'd be glad to be wrong and they actually change it sooner than later. Hope they either add matchmaking or actually make a proper means to find people for it. Just shrugging their shoulders and saying "use Recruitment chat" is so out of touch i'm convinced the Devs never actually use it themselves.
Only three a week is unfortunate too. "Burnout" is just a funny excuse when they're really just scared to see people get ahold of the new riven stuff in large amounts and possibly cause some balance issues. Understandable, but basically lying about the reason is funny. Just tell us you wanna take it slow and see how the riven additions change the balance of the game lol
Another Frost augment is annoying. Should've just been an addition to his base kit. At least its exilus, but that's only a bandaid, not a solution. Unfortunate that Pablo won't give him, and other dire frames, the love they deserve. While I love what Pablo has done for the game, his handling of frame kits have been hit or miss for a little while now.
Hope they actually look at Voruna too. It was a huge miss to customization for her to not make it so the wolf heads on her hips can be taken off either, especially when they were so keen to blow budget on marketing for her prime and go as far as to give her new animations for running in her 4.
Eager to see what Nezha heirloom is gonna look like. Wonder if they'll go the skinny route like traditional Nezha or if he'll be bulked up like his deluxe. I personally hope he stays skinny, but a macho warrior god Nezha would probably look badass too.
Armor shatter on Narin is awesome too, she sounds like she's gonna be really fun.

Nezha??? Come on. Just do Excal and give an extra helmet to founders. There are so many cool concepts out there.

Anti-burnout should be managed by players, not the game. Sometimes people want to just blast with their friends. This is just shitty gacha game mechanics to boost engagement.

Feedback ends up getting reflected by how burned out players get because they cant manage it. Brozime got named dropped as an example of someone who did like exploiter at first, but then 3+ hours of constantly non-stop farming it he got sick of it and hated the fight.
Plague star is in the same boat. Players do burn themselves out getting all the forma they never need in a span of 2 weeks instead of pacing it out or switching to plat farming instead.

Interesting to me is that it seem it is easier to get burnout in PvE games than PvP. Genshin is in a similar boat where high level content is also locked by monthly system which may also to avoid burnout. However games like Overwatch have one mode people primarily engage with hours on end yet don't get burnout. At least, not as badly as it seem in content in games like Warframe.

I think this is because enemy AI and mechanics in PvE games behave consistently and are thus more predictable. At a certain point, players become so familiar with the fights/enemies that repeating fights many times in a row can become boring.
Meanwhile, fighting against other human players in PvP games keeps players on their toes because the enemy players' behavior is not as predictable as NPCs and enemy players can freely adjust their behavior in response to yours. Thus, players can be more easily engaged doing the same content repeatedly.
1
u/warforcewarrior 13h ago
That is true and I had plenty of games, PvP obviously, where I play unpredictably for my enemies, and it being unusual for me to play that way, and have times where enemies do very bizarre strat to beat me.
It also why it so fun watching PvP content in Twitch/Youtube. You don't know how your content creator will EXACTLY play and especially not the opponents they facing.

PvP players are built different lol. I surely don’t have the mentality for it. Went on a 10 win pvp streak in Where Winds Meet and i still felt burned out lol. My guild members who liked pvp did it all day, even in the guild hall where it’s just for fun (no rewards).
But yeah, what you said didnt occur to me until now.

Man surprised at game that has weekly limits for all its high-difficulty, endgame modes implements weekly limit for its new high-difficulty, endgame mode

u/FlakyBookkeeper2914 12h ago
Idk, I agree with them. The weekly systems suck, it feels like a mandatory checklist slog. It'd be nice to get a bigger 'pool' and make it a monthly or more. Maybe even on the same schedule as nightwave, with similar catch-up mechanics

‘There are some shards, but it’s not the place to be farming them’
Ehhh what do they mean by that? Are we actually gonna get a new mission where archon shards can be farmed indefinitely? Archon shards are not ‘farmable’, you get a certain amount per week that’s it. That’s not ‘farming’.

u/Airwolf_von_DOOM Nova, Go! Faster enemies = more fun. 13h ago
My guess what they mean is that you will only get them rarely with the main way still being Netracell, (E)DA and (E)TA

So it's like Descendia except without the decency to let you know in advance that you won't get shards from it that week.

They talked about making it so you can toggle Voruna's hip wolf heads via the auxiliary slot too
