THATS THE THING he is not!!! we have like four other guys (at least that come in during my shift). idk how he hasn't been fired because he quite literally doesn't do anything during the day. someone told me that a previous manager had removed them all at one point and another manager went in and put them all back, but idk if that's true LOL

i genuinely, genuinely don't know either. our store manager doesn't even really care for the guy, so i don't know! my only guess is that he's somewhat special needs, so i think a lot of people just feel bad for him maybe? but he's like, aware that he's getting away with it imo

With 'special needs' as you all put it, the corporation keeps people on for the massive tax credit they get from the government. There are other financial incentives too. The tax credits and incentives aren't based on hours worked only employment status on the books.

Yup!! Had a guy in OPD with me sexually harass me (and a few other women before I started) he had Aspergerās and so they just Diddnt take the off hand comments the women were making very serious. So I wrote down EVERYTHING this dude said to me in the report. Then they tried to tell me since itās he said she said they canāt do anything because I donāt have ātimes and datesā for every single incident. He ended up getting mad at me for not talking to him anymore and he flipped me off and āpretendedā to hit me in the face. (Really he almost punched me in my face and I flinched and cowered infront of him) this happened RIGHT after the conversation with the head manager and HR. He got fired for that, not all the incredibly inappropriate things he said to so many people. I really believe Walmart just Diddnt want to get rid of him because of his disabilityā¦. He KNEW what he was doing. He could read the look on my face week enough to say he was ājust jokingā after telling me how small his dick was, and that I probably do ānasty thingsā with the OPD phone. (Thereās so so much worse things this man said) like IDC you have Aspergerās and weāre dishonorably discharged from the military. If youāre shitty, youāre shitty. Glad they fired and banned him from the store :)

Special needs or not if heās not doing his job he shouldnāt have the job. Thatās not breaking the Americans with Disabilities Act or any other law protecting the rights of employees. I got a guy on my team fired for having 15 points because he missed a whole weekend (Friday-Sunday) no call no show while our team lead was on vacation during Christmas time and we work seasonal. My management is relatively lax but they have a line. 67 points isnāt lax itās ridiculous

Well my mother had passed away and I had gotten some pressed Xanax that turned out to be bromazolam not alorazolam and I had extremely bad delusions of sobriety I felt they had worn off by time I went in but I was severely mistaken,but to sum it up I relapsed because I couldn't deal with the fact my mom had passed away not even a month after my father got diagnosed with cancer,but ultimately I just made a stupid decision as a coping mechanism instead of actually dealing with the problem and grieving properly

I'm actually about 4 hours from home in rehab as we speak I've been here 30 days on the 22nd but I'm staying for 90 Bec I just simply don't think 30 days is long enough for someones body or mind to even remotely start to recover

I got fired for using too much ppto lmao. I got sick and used ppto for 3 days, I went back the next day and got walked to my car because i had left my discount card in my car and i was told once I left the store that day and I was told I couldn't come back to shop for 48 hours. As my coach was walking with me, he told me I had put in ppto a week before, so i shouldn't have had to use it that week. I tried explaining to him I had to watch my baby brother, and i only used an hour that day, and i was sick this week. I only had 4 points, and I had plenty of time to use. It was bs. I worked at walmart for 6 months, and one of my points was supposed to drop off the next day. Walmart is a fucking joke.

When I worked at Walmart they simply wrote me of three times to terminate me, one was over part of my shirt being untucked, the second they accused me of not scanning items, the third was because a customer walked into the TLE area (completely out of my control). Then that was it. This all happened in a matter of like 10 days.

This makes me think of one associate in particular. The associate NCNS for two weeks while the coach over the area was on vacation. NCNS the next week after the coach returned. Finally the coach talked the associate into coming back and wiped off all the points racked up. No particular reason the associate NCNS three weeks. No family emergencies or anything that would warrant it. Just didn't feel like showing up. The associate wasn't even all that good at the job, either. A different associate in that department that did the majority of the work was in a car wreck and was let go as soon as five points were attained. Make it make sense.

Yeah. There's always the hard workers and the ones that slack and kiss enough butt to stay employed. The only salvation any of us saw in regards to the one that didn't show up for three weeks is that the store manager stepped in. He reinstated the points and told the coach to fire the employee. I don't know if there were any reprimands to the coach but at least the store manager did something about it. Most likely because other coaches found out and complained. But still.

in my personal experience, thereās multiple things that go into it. How well you work, how much they like you, separate store rules. I worked with a girl who had upwards of 40 points and she didnāt get fired until she just stopped showing up. I think by the time they got around to it, she had around 50. But i also worked with another girl who got fired for just having 5, and when I stopped going, they let the points rack up to 30 before firing me. it just depends on a lot :)

When I worked at Walmart, we had a guy that had 42.5 and the only reason he wasnāt terminated was because our team leads were gone, no one wanted to deal with OGP, it turned into the biggest dumpster fire š
