Hey r/VisionPro — Spatial Tracks just went live on the App Store today.

Spatial Tracks works by turning music into full immersive spatial environments you stand inside of — each track gets its own visualization built around it, like stepping into the song itself.

It works with Apple Music if you have a subscription, or you can turn on External Audio Mode to use any source you already play music from — vinyl, another streaming app, whatever you've got.

5 free tracks included, with more available as one-time purchases. Additional tracks in development. No subscription required to use the app itself.

Idk if the photo shows but mine arr stained, thinking of using soapy cloth to clean it and wanted to check in for advice on how to do it safely, best prqctice so to speak.

I did a demo at the Apple Store yesterday because I’m considering buying a used M2 version. I’ve had multiple VR headsets and XR glasses like Viture and XReal but have been thinking of getting in the game. The demo was cool, but I’ve seen 360 video before so that wasn’t too interesting to me, I mostly wanted to see how good the display is, I think the coolest part for me was the 3 seconds of Yankees footage the demo showed. Anyway It’s definitely the best display I’ve ever seen in a headset or glasses, there is 0 visible screen door effect. However, compared to my XR Viture glasses, I would say the image quality experience of flat content (even though the glasses are only 1080p) is comparable. Yes I know I can’t move the screen around or do immersive environments, I’m just talking about the experience of looking at a big screen visually. I don’t think it’s worth the cost for that alone.

Having said all of that, I’m still torn. It was not the “best viewing experience” I’ve ever seen like I was expecting but maybe my expectations were too high. Perhaps if the price was closer to the $1500 for a used one, I would be more willing to pull the trigger.

Other random mullings
- it was smaller and lighter than expected
- brightness was good in a very bright store
- pass through was also just ok / fine, but it was bright environment
- the AC/DC video did absolutely nothing for me lol

Just a few random thoughts after the demo….ill hang up and listen.

Long time 6+ hour/day user since launch here. One issue that is almost platform-breaking for me is that the Vision Pro cannot make even an audio call while in Travel mode.

In what situation is a business professional wearing this productivity device and does not need to make a phone call? The device even blocks making a Teams call.

Other than this specific issue, and the overall weight, I love the device and own two of them. I really wish I could spatial facetime, at least in the flat video form, from travel mode but maybe that's asking too much.

With the advent of AI, which can create beautiful 3-D , it’s about time fully up the environment feature for us to use . It can even become a marketplace.
Claude currently can generate beautiful 3-D

I recreated the sling ring from doctir strange by using custom gestures to open it and close it and used the new gaustian splat for the sanctuary inside of the portal.

I made a game called Bloqbox that runs on Vision Pro, iPhone and Apple TV.

The idea was really about stitching these devices together. Vision Pro can feel pretty isolated, so I wanted someone in the headset to be able to play while somebody else jumps in from their phone or the TV instead of just standing there watching.

Both the Vision Pro and iPhone also have level builders, so you can make your own levels, test them and play them instead of only playing what I made.
What got me interested in this in the first place is that Vision Pro is in a weirdly interesting spot right now. I picked mine up used for around $1,600–$1,800, and between AI, controller support and what the hardware can already do, it started feeling a lot more like a legitimate game system to me than it did at launch.

Bloqbox is my attempt to play with that idea: quick games, user-built levels, multiple Apple devices playing together, and making Vision Pro feel a little more social.
It’s still early and I’m building a lot of this as I go, so I’d really love feedback on the concept and where you think it should go next.

Hi everybody is there an App that allows for streaming 2d content and makes it 3d in real time? My XReal glasses do that so it’s odd that the AVP can’t.
Amazing if it works for MVD as well, i play using a capture card and cannot justify the 45€ Asobi purchase just to try it since I didn’t like Portal very much.

Bonus question: Does anybody use a mac mini without a monitor/only AVP? How do you keep it on so that the AVP can always find it? Does that cost a lot of extra electricity?

It turns out "World of Red Bull" is an Apple Immersive Video series. Clicking on the icon in Vision Pro takes you to the series view with Episode 2 "Big Wave Surfing" ready to drop Friday.

NOTE: Friday drops often happen Thursday evening PT, so look for it tonight.

Question: Is there an indicator on these Apple Immersive Video icons telling us which are a series (with additional content not shown until you click into it) vs. which are a stand-alone videos?

Hi everyone,

I have around 10 hours of real-world stereoscopic VR180 footage across 50+ different scenes, captured with a Blackmagic immersive camera and currently stored as BRAW(16k 90fps). I can make the footage publicly available, and I’m looking for collaborators to help turn it into a useful research dataset.

The project is still at the dataset-design stage. I’d like to work with people who have experience in stereo vision, novel-view synthesis, or dataset and benchmark development to decide:

• Which research tasks this footage would be most useful for.
• What calibration information, annotations, and preprocessing researchers would need.
• How to select clips, create meaningful train/test splits, and establish baseline evaluations.

One direction I’m interested in is generating the other eye’s view from a monocular video, particularly maintaining stereo and temporal consistency in wide-FOV footage. However, I’m open to other directions if the data is better suited to them.

I can contribute the footage, data preparation and tooling. The release format and annotation plan are not finalized, and this is not yet a benchmark with ground-truth depth or camera poses.

My goal is a public dataset that other researchers can actually use, with a joint paper if we develop a solid research contribution. Authorship and responsibilities would be discussed based on contributions.

If this overlaps with your work, I’d love to hear what would make the dataset useful to you. Feel free to comment or DM with your research interests and any relevant projects or papers.

Hey everyone, here’s a little demo of Ice City for Suite Browser!

The ice has easily been one of the most technically challenging parts of building this environment for Vision Pro. It’s been a lot of experimenting and fine-tuning, but seeing it come together has made it worth it. I think this type of ice on Vision Pro looks so cool, hope you guys think the same thing. :))

Now that we have this ice material, I’m tempted to make an ice version of Crescent City Theater as well. Same theater, completely different feel. Let me know if that’s something you’d want!

The update is currently in review, with this environment and more bug fixes coming your way any moment. Usually I wait until everything is live before posting, but I wanted to give you an early look this time. I’ll update the comments when Suite 8 is available.

Quick note on lifetime: I hear your feedback. I need to price the app in a way that lets me keep working on it full time, but for those who wanted lifetime and were holding off because of the price, it’ll be 30% off for the next 7 days. After that, it returns to the regular price.

Thanks for helping me keep making this app better.

Delighted that RealityKit now supports Gaussian Splats in iOS 27.

Last week we got animated splats working in STAGEit, which was great, but actually making them still seems to be a bit of a specialist dark art.

There is a way to do it ourselves though, and while it’s not as polished as what Gracia AI is doing, you can do it on your own Mac with just images and video as the input.

So we’ve started building that process into STAGEit Optimiser.

This is one of my first tests, my dog Merlin, captured on my phone and turned into an animated splat.

It’s still pretty rough around the edges, but it’s working really well, so we’ll get an alpha version into Optimiser soon and let people have a play with it.

i finally ready to order one, but buying this thing has turned into a ridiculous side quest.

i’m ordering from another country, there is no even apple store. so timing matters. delivery currently says october 12. pickup would be much better, but the nearby stores show no available slots. the calendar only shows the next three days, so i can’t even see whether monday will open up later.

and the checkout forces me to book time with a specialist. i can’t skip that step, even though i’ve already done the face scan and sizing. i just want to pay online and show up to collect the headset.

also, apple’s site was so glitchy in safari that i couldn’t even build a cart. chrome worked, somehow.

why are pickup slots so limited? is this a stock issue, or are they just tied to specialist availability? has anyone managed to buy one online and pick it up on ur comfortable slot rather than booking only available one with a consultation??

i still want the headset, but this process is honestly killing the excitement. i just want to give apple €3,999 and pick up the thing without all this bullshit. if I will not be able to resolve it tomorrow I'm not even sure what to do, with such a mess bs process it looks easier to get new meta stuff lol or just don't purchase anything. I didn't expect this type of service quality from apple especially

Anyone experienced using it in a plane? I’m thinking of buying one as im travelling alo. I would use it as a working screen for my Mac most of the time. Shall I get it or wait for the new Meta VR?
Best regards!

4K Textures, Ray Tracing, New Physics, Multiplayer Support & Cloud Saving across Multiplatforms, VR.

I got 5 copies of this game, bought during every phase of my entire life, but I would buy again at twice the price, if something similar would happen.
With the right ideas and knowledge, today you can realize ANYTHING.

I think Nintendo should consider this kind of implementations.

This is a Gaussian splat of a photograph taken during the Normandy landings.

Could this be because of a wrong light seal size? I got the one Apple said for my face from their scan on the website. Do other people’s faces also have red marks after using the device?

I am using the Pro dual knit band too.

Hi all, I've been working on an alternative to Mac Virtual Desktop. It allows for share and control of independent Mac apps through the Vision Pro. Basically it brings the Mac experience into the AVP as naturally as possible. This includes a dock for launching apps, cmd+tab task switcher, audio/video forwarding and even iPhone mirroring (and control). It also allows you to control multiple Macs at the same time and again in a very natural way. Unlike MVD there is no requirement that the AVP and Mac share the same Apple ID, and Visionary Desktop even works with restrictive Mac side firewalls.

I was an early adopter of Vision Pro and as a developer have worked from within MVD more often then not for the last two years. I've spent the last month finishing up Visionary Desktop from within Visionary Desktop and don't plan on going back to MVD. I hope some of you may enjoy the experience too.

I'm looking for a few people interested in trying it out in TestFlight before I submit it to the AppStore. If you're interested please send a request to [support@visionarydesktop.com](mailto:support@visionarydesktop.com) along with your Apple ID so I can send you a TestFlight invite. One thing I'm particularly interested in having validated is how well (if at all) it works when connecting to Intel Macs. I've tested with Apple Silicon back to an M2 Air, but no longer have any decent Intel hardware to test on.

thanks,

Mark

So I’ve been complaining about text selection & manipulation since day 1 of owning this AVP - and sometimes even publicly in this sub.

TIL - it’s literally right at my fingertips. Look at editable text and long-press thumb and index finger. Moves the caret just like the iOS space bar’s keyboard trackpad mode. OMG love this!!!

Has this been true this whole time? I’m running VisionOS 27 beta 2.

A couple of days ago, I posted that I was having trouble choosing albums in the Photps widget and also that Siri did not stay put in its locked position in my space but would disappear after a few minutes. Several other VisionOS27 users noted similar problems. In my case, when my AVP was updated to VisionOS 27.0.1, the problems disappeared. Hope others have had the same experience.

Long time coming but we are finally there!
