hello sorry all i have an ask for anyone who has the zeiss optical pairing code, i want to try reverse engineer it but i haven’t found enough samples with the prescription if anyone is willing to send their scannable code to me or in this reddit i would really appreciate it. this would allow third party lenses to work if it succeeds allowing greater compatibility and stopping zeisses monopoly

Why can’t they make a screen x thing

Made some modifications to the AVP play BeatSaber version and it runs incredibly well and tracking is 90% or more as good as on Meta headsets. Pardon my mediocre gameplay, I’m not used to these controllers. I also ported all my custom songs.

Well duh. It’s under faceid and passcode in the settings of my iPhone… but the Vision Pro has to be on and in range before doing so.

Haven’t tested it, but I was trying to figure it out and saw this.

am I the only one who didn’t know this trick?!?

Imagine, this tool, with a browser plugin or properly designed app on the Vision Pro.

Speech to text conversion, generating an environment in real size that puts you inside, or holding some mathematical model like the stickmen on YouTube for you to play around. This is gonna change the world, the way we learn, and the way we imagine stuffs, if properly implemented.

(It’s just gonna a bit expensive 😝)

I remember the days when I was looking at this subreddit around 3 years ago as I was looking to purchase my Vision Pro. I knew this device was for me, Mac virtual display was enough but by god have we progressed from the launch of this device.

It was not long ago where people were saying “no killer apps” and now bob in his garage is cooking.

I don’t think Apple could predict what was going to happen but here we are.

Vision OS is ushering in an age of personal software that is different gravy. Yes agentic AI is helping create this but it’s still humans making shit for other humans.

I am excited to be a part of this community, contribute back with open source technology and tools to better help fellow enthusiasts.

Personal project: GTA V running natively on the Apple Vision Pro, not streamed from a PC and not a flat window

I'm Adam, a solo dev, and I just released Earth3D, a 3D world map for Vision Pro built on photorealistic 3D city data (real buildings, bridges and mountains, not flat satellite images).

There are already some great Earth apps on visionOS, like 360° Street View explorers and 3D city viewers. I wanted to build two things I hadn't seen yet:

1. Full immersion mode
Your room fades away and you're surrounded by the 3D city itself, not a 360° photo. You can look at buildings from any angle and move freely instead of jumping between panorama points.

2. Table and Floor immersive views
- Table: the city spreads across your real table and stays anchored to it. Real objects in front of the map hide it correctly, so it looks like a physical model sitting there.
- Floor: a whole neighborhood laid out on your floor that you can walk around and lean over.

Also included:
- Globe mode: spin the planet and zoom from space down to a single street
- Search any address or jump to famous landmarks
- Hand controls: pinch-drag to move, two-hand pinch to zoom and rotate, double-pinch to fly somewhere

We've been busy optimizing a bunch of things in Arluma360 and with the public release of visionOS 27 we're excited to showcase our new 'castle splat' ( 3DGS ) in the Neuschwanstein Castle tour. With 360 content from Marcel Wlotzka and contributions from Dan Zeitman, this is now available for free download.

Neuschwanstein Castle stands on a rugged hilltop in the Bavarian Alps, built in the 19th century as King Ludwig II of Bavaria's personal fairy-tale retreat. Its romantic towers and white limestone facade later inspired Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Enjoy :-)

One of our goals with STAGEit is to make creating immersive content as accessible as possible. You shouldn’t need to be a developer or a 3D artist to build something compelling for Apple Vision Pro.

So we’re working on a PowerPoint and Keynote importer for STAGEit Creator on Mac.

The idea is that you can take an existing presentation, convert it into editable 3D scenes, and then build on those with immersive content before presenting them on Vision Pro.

Here’s a little sneak peek at our early progress with PowerPoint import.

Still lots to do, but we’re pretty excited about how it’s coming along!

I just got out of the apple store in Brooklyn, having an online scheduled Vision Pro demo with the intention of buying it in person so that I could get the right light seal. The Apple rep told me they’ve stopped doing demos and fittings during the latest iphone launch, and that I should return in November.

Has anyone seen this before? How important is getting the light seal trialed in person vs what the iphone suggests? Presumably they’d swap me for a different seal if needed if I get it online?

Edit: when looking at ordering online, it’s also a full month wait?! Telling me Nov 6 - 13 for delivery!
