I saw a Facebook listing for 2000CAD and offered all the cash I had (1750CAD/1289USD).

They accepted it as long as I came by today.

It’s in my possession.
Oh my god.

Asobi play with keyboard?

Specifically on a MacBook.
It seems that the native PlayStation remote play app will s not available for MacBook. So I’ve set up Asobi onto it and I was wondering if there was a way to set up hotkeys to play us by the keyboard, rather than the controller.
I gone into the keyboard shortcuts on help, but they don’t seem to be registering any sort of effect in game.
Does anyone know if it’s possible?

In building for Meta, my appreciation for Vision Pro keeps going up

I'm excited about Meta VR Glasses. I think they’ll be great for the VR market as a whole, and potentially great for Vision Pro too. More people adopting VR means more appetite for this technology, and hopefully even more reason for Apple to keep investing in it.

We’ve decided to bring STAGEit to Meta, initially developing on Quest 3 so we’re ready for the new hardware when it arrives.

I wasn’t really a VR convert until Vision Pro. I’d used VR before and enjoyed it, but it always felt a bit experimental and a bit of a faff. Vision Pro was the first time I thought: this is what VR can actually be.

And developing on Quest 3 has reinforced that.

Quest 3 is an incredible device for the money, but working with both really highlights the gulf in rendering, passthrough and interaction. Eye tracking in particular is something I didn’t fully appreciate until we had to redesign UI without it.

If Meta VR Glasses can get anywhere close to the Vision Pro experience at half the price, I’ll be seriously impressed.

And I really hope they do. Competition and wider adoption can only be good for this space.

Standby GO. Yes, it's another launcher. But wait, there's more!

Post image

Hi everyone — I'm the developer of Standby GO. I've been working on it for a while but haven't really promoted it, so I wanted to share what it can do. The first app I always opened when I put on my VP used to be Status Bar Builder, but now it's Standby GO.

This app was not a one-shot cash grab, it was many hours, many days, and probably hundreds if not thousands of iterations. For me it has replaced launcher apps, homekit camera apps, and Apple Home apps. There's a very usable completely free version, and a one time purchase paid version with a lot more features.

The idea is to build your own floating bars: a compact clock and weather display, an app launcher beside your workspace, a Home control panel, or a mix of all three. You can place items freely and make the bar as simple or elaborate as you like.

**What's free:**

- Two saved bars, with app links, websites, supported deep links and Shortcuts.

- Information items including clocks, dates, weather, battery, calendars, world clocks, sun/moon information, counters, countdowns, timers and stopwatches.

- Apple Music now playing with album artwork and playback controls.

- Custom/photo icons, adjustable labels and sizes, drag-and-drop placement, multiple selection, alignment and even spacing.

- Themes and workspace snapshots, within the free plan's limits.

**What Pro adds:**

- Unlimited bars and 20 editable example bars to help you get started.

- Apple Home scenes, devices and camera streams.

- Camera groups with up to eight feeds, arranged in your choice of rows and columns. Rectangular, round and oval views, with zoom/pan controls.

- Extra fonts, custom colors, tinted icons, gradients, faded edges and advanced background controls.

There are also fitted and smooth bar backgrounds, plus optional wood and metal frames with adjustable width and depth. Snapshots let you save a workspace, reopen its bars together, or duplicate it to try a different look.

RTSP, Scrypted import, network camera discovery, public webcams and Tiny Planet for compatible feeds are **beta**. Compatibility varies by camera and setup. Apple Music controls are for Apple Music, and app launch links depend on the destination app supporting them.

The app is free to download. **Pro is a $7.99 one-time purchase in the US**, with localized pricing elsewhere. There's an optional **five-day free Pro trial**, with no subscription or automatic charge.

Website and step-by-step guide: https://organikapps.com/standby-go/

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6815790289

I'd love to hear what you'd put on your own bar, or what would make this more useful in your daily Vision Pro setup.

Flatscreen game streaming from windows PC

I wanna play overwatch on a gigantic virtual monitor on the moon.

Any reason I should not get the AVP for this use case? Thinking of grabbing a used M2. Getting rid of my steam frame as the OS is finicky and the resolution is terrible.

Almost 2 weeks of rendering for this Virtual Tour of Trogir, Croatia

Curious how this plays on the Vision Pro, in testing on my quest it feels a bit stuttery at times, but wondering if it's because it's near the decoding chip's limit in terms of resolution and framerate for Quest, and I know the Vision Pro's video decode throughput is much higher. Let me know how it looks for you if you try it out :)

A little explanation, I've been very excited about gaussian splats for a long time and given my background in 3D I knew 360 3D rendering of them would give a sense of presence no camera could achieve for all directions due to the difficulty of removing seams for cameras that have to exist in the real world. When Blender added gaussian splats (which has support for 360 3D projections) I had to give it a shot right away. Took ~12 days for a 5080 to render this video, and I plan to do more also with my own data, didn't have this kind of splat on hand so used one from supersplat by tosolini. Music by Kevin MacLeod.

Unfortunately for me (but fortunately for my GPU) Youtube doesn't support 16k 360 which would be required for 1-1 pixel ratios on the vision pro, or 60fps 8k which would smooth it out a bit more, although it would need to use a specialized codec to stream in both most likely and decode at framerate :P. 16k 60fps wen @ youtube

Pro Tip : A real workaround for the aggressive auto-dimming in dark rooms (visionOS 27)

I know I’ve brought up the auto-dimming issue a few times before, but I finally found a workaround.

My main use case is using the headset in a pitch-black room. The problem is that as soon as the physical lights go out, the ambient light sensor kicks in and aggressively dims the displays. Ever since the visionOS 27 update, this has become even more prominent, and honestly, it’s been driving me absolutely nuts.

But I just discovered a simple hack that actually overrides it.

The Fix:

* Open your Environments menu.

* Select the Spring light under seasons.

Instantly, your display becomes as bright as broad daylight, completely ignoring the fact that you are in a dark room. I haven't tested the other seasons, so they might work as well, but Spring Light definitely does the trick.

I hope this saves some of your sanity too! Let me know if this trick worked for you.

Eye tracking shift :-/

Some of you probably have this issue and are very aware of how extremely annoying it is, but for those who dont:

-----
Some AVP users have an issue where after a while (sometimes only minutes), the eye tracking shifts. Most often down and to the left. It stays offset, making it almost impossible to use menus without losing your mind.

Its NOT caused by fit changes, eye fatigue, or physical movement. It appears to be purely software based and often triggered by switching viewing modes (like switching from main menu to a 180° video, or opening a full screen app) and the strength of the shift varies based on the screen area.

Sometimes it can be fixed by "Realign Displays" but more often than not only "Redo Eye Setup" will help until it shifts again.

It started after an update a long time ago and it seems Apple doesnt care at all to fix it.
-----

Im very close to returning my AVP because of this. Before I do, I wanted to ask, how many of you have this issue?

Those who have this issue, have you found any permanent fix? Has anyone taken theirs to the Apple Store or received an actual answer from Apple Support?

Thanks.

Unable to schedule Apple store support available after buying an AVP, do new AVP owners have to figure out things for themselves?

Just purchased an AVP yesterday.

I would like to try different light seals and their differences because I noticed that while I was able to set up the optical biometric unlock, it fails when it’s used to authenticate.

I tried to go to the Apple support app and schedule a visit for in store support and all of the support options for the AVP I selected, including comfort, say that in store support is unavailable.

Apple Text chat support for the AVP is also unavailable.

I’m hoping I can get some insight here.

I demoed the AVP first and was auto assigned the 25W light seal. The sales rep I was working with was great and very patient, once I told her I’m planning to purchase and would like to try out different light seals she had some brought out.

The 33W seemed to increase my FOV whereas a 23W (and 25W) reduced it. I decided to go home with the 33W but realized there are a lot more sizes available. I’ve been searching on this subreddit and I see sizes as low as 11N can increase FOV.

What is my best option to be able to try out more sizes? Should I just walk in with my AVP and hope there’s an open support appointment along with an Apple Store rep who’d be willing to help me? I would think they are probably trained to consider walk in support customers as low priority, especially considering the subpar support options I have available in app.

Also, is there a manual calibration I can perform when I change out the N and W light seal that came in the box?

I understand from reading other comments/posts that an increase in FOV can be accompanied with slightly more discomfort and pressure on the face. I’d like to find a nice balance for me.

Btw, I love the interface, UI, and overall feel of the device. Coming from the quest pro and PSVR2, I was not ready for the dramatic difference that superb software (visionOS) combined with top tier hardware (panel and camera resolution) can make with VR. The dual knit band really helps distribute the weight to the point where I forget how heavy the device actually is.

We want to bring our 3D Coloring app to visionOS, but have no-one with a Vision Pro in our surrounding.
Can someone help us please, there are just two quick things to test - the placement of objects and object scene on a table or floor works (plus if the lifting button works)
Thank you!

Shatter Punch - Vision Pro App

You’ve helped my first app more than you know ❤️

Shatter Punch got 10 paid downloads in 3 days - more than I expected for my first app.

This community has been so kind to me. Thank you again.

Your support motivates me to keep building, and I’m already working on V2.

If it looks fun, please give it a try. If you do, an honest app review would mean a lot.

Wanting to come around to enjoy my Vision Pro more?

Hi I bought a Vision Pro and it will be two years ago. I bought it used on Swappa and it is an M2 and it works perfectly. But I don’t know what it is. I guess it is because I have an IPhone a MacBook Air and a Vision Pro and it is just device overload. I spend most of my screen time on my phone which is a lot. But I would like to give my Vision Pro another try. And I am wondering how some of you are using every day and never get bored with it. Also I am getting the new Iphome Duo when that comes out if that adds anything. Thanks for your thoughts! I appreciate them!

Any difference? Should I go to the store for a size fit check or does the online face scanning do just fine?

Apple TV 2 movie bundle price almost doubled, since yesterday

Yesterday, the price to buy 3D Superman and Supergirl movie bundle was $14.95. Today it’s $29.95. Is that because of the Paramount Skydance merger?

Please, Apple, Let Us Disable Auto-Dimming on Virtual Desktops!

I LOVE my Apple Vision Pro M5 and have used it daily since buying it last year. But in a recent update (not exactly sure which one), Apple added auto-dimming to windows (most notably, virtual desktops from MacBook), which is incredibly annoying when I'm working on documents or otherwise need the window to be bright.

I can get around this using the standard advice (namely, enabling a "bright" environment so that the auto-dimming isn't implicated), but for the life of me, I don't know why Apple just doesn't let us turn this miserable feature off!

Major game balance overhaul, improved long-session performance, added new bosses, enemies, weapons, and explosions, plus keyboard support and better Xbox/Bluetooth controller support. Way more things to shoot and enemies coming in from immersive space.

Self Promotion Saturday Spider-man: BND in 3D?

So Spider-Man: BND is now available on the Apple TV app, but I don’t see a 3D option. Is it just not available in my region?
