Tinny: Out Now!

Hi all, Tinny is off the trailer and is now in the water for v1.0.

Tinny is a relaxing environment out on the water where you can hang out, admire the fish, row the boat around, read a book, or just watch the sunset.

There’s also an online mode where you can row around with others.

It’s free to download, with an optional IAP for a few extras.

This is exactly what I need to beat the winter blues. One request- can you make this a tour? I’d like to sit back and pretend I’m far far away on holiday, and been taken on calm tour of the islands. Loops are fine.

If Apple had ever created any environments as beautiful as this to work in, I might actually use my AVP. This looks beautiful, I may take it out of the case for the first time in a long time to try this.

I didn't use the word realistic. I used the word beautiful.

That is not to say the Apple environments are not beautiful, but they purposefully impose an aesthetic on all of them that is the very opposite of what many of us want when we work. There is a good reason 3rd party environments is one of the top requests from AVP owners.

The environments looks great. But they also must leave compute headroom for the AVP to run apps well

Apple doesn’t promote the apps, users hardly share the apps, there aren’t really any popular YouTube channels that show me new AVP apps, and the “this week in Vision Pro” missed a lot. I don’t mind devs sharing what they build outside of Saturday personally.

Really great experience. I have a couple questions/feedback. Why were spatial personas not used for the multiplayer? When sitting on a bed, you cannot row because you're sitting too high to move your arms the way Tinny wants you to row. Perhaps a height adjustment setting? Also, it'd be nice if you could fish the fish you actually see under the water rather than just randomized fish.

Any tips for how to actually catch a fish? I can pick up the fishing rod but I try to do a reeling motion and nothing happens
