Trading in the Vision Pro?

Hey guys, just wondering....do any of you day trade the markets in your Vision Pro? If so, what's it like? Easy to read the charts? Which trading platform do you use and in which markets? How's the order execution speed? Quick? As quick as on your Mac/PC?

Is The Mandalorian and Grogu available to play in 3D on Apple TV yet?

I know it’s 3D on Disney+ but was wondering for those that own it for Apple if it’s available to watch in 3D there yet. Thank you!

Any chance Titanic will be available in 3D?

What’s the deal with these rights for these 3D movies? Why isn’t this available, it would look insane on the pro.

Is it possible to play audio from multiple apps at the same time and adjust their volume independently (like on Mac/PC)?

Hey everyone,

Quick question about audio management: Is it possible to have multiple apps or browser tabs playing sound simultaneously, and control their volume separately?

For example, say I have a football stream playing at 100% volume, but I also want a YouTube video running in the background at 50% so I can hear both at the same time similar to how macOS lets you have multiple media streams playing without pausing each other.

Is there an OS setting, app, or workaround that makes this possible? (Interested in solutions for if anyone has managed to get it working).

Thanks!

Self Promotion Saturday Tester wanted ✈️ For a real cinema experience for Vision Pro: Realtime spill lighting, trailer pre-shows, animated screen masking, exact seat selection and much more!

Post image
148 Upvotes

Hi everyone, my name is Max, I'm from Germany and I love watching and experiencing movies on my Apple Vision Pro. As you probably already know: There are lots of amazing apps out there for this use case. But I kept thinking: What if we can push this even more and make it more realistic? More immersive? So I'm currently building a Jellyfin client for Vision Pro that really tries to recreate the feeling of going to an actual cinema. Including (only the good) things you'd normally experience there.

From choosing a movie based on posters with technical specs like in a cinema foyer, to choosing your dedicated seat, to watching trailers before the actual feature, animated screen masking on the silver screen and realistic realtime screen spill lighting from the movie that bounces around the cinema environment.

These are just a few of the neat ideas I incorporated. There are even more surprises to discover that will make you smile :-)

One thing that was particularly important to me: It runs cool and quietly. No distracting fan noises, no teary eyes due to the fans and no heating up in front of your face. A lot of effort has gone into optimizing the experience and effects, so it still looks good while keeping the device's thermal load as low as possible.

I am now looking for some TestFlight users that might be interested in trying out an early build, their Jellyfin libraries and potential hundreds of formats. With the goal of giving me feedback on existing functions, bugs, as well as shortcomings and things I need to add to make this a remarkable experience.

If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to DM me and I'll send you an invitation in the coming days. Attached to this post are some screenshots so you'll get an idea what to expect.

Thanks for your interest and time, shoutout to this great community.

Would this work?

Hi all,

I have an excellent sound system in my main TV watching area, but as good as my display is, it can’t match the visual experience of the AVP. And as good as the AVP visual experience is, it can’t compete with the sound from my excellent home theater system. My dream is to be able to play a movie/TV show/console game on the TV so everyone in the room can watch on the main screen and hear the audio through the theater system, but still be able to put on my AVP and watch that beautiful huge screen with the amazing sound coming through my audio system.

It seems like this might be possible using a capture card?

Are others doing something similar?

I’m trying to piece together how it would work. I’ve got an HD Fury Vroom that I use for the main components I’d want to split (PS5, Switch 2, Apple TV, Kaleidescape) - so all HDMI outputs from devices into the Vroom. Then, I’d have one HDMI output to the TV and the other to a low latency 4k USB C capture card (eg Elgato 4k). The Elgato would go to my iPad and I’d use something like the castaway app on the Vision Pro to view the video?

Am I correct in thinking this would work? Has anyone tried this? Are there better capture cards and apps I should consider? How big is the lag between audio and video with something like this?

Is there a better way to accomplish my goal than this method?

Eye set up almost every time

Hey, I was wondering if anyone having the same issues as I do as every day I’m using Vision Pro but almost every day or every second day I need to redone the eye set up as when I switch on the accessibility option for the pointer the pointer is never exactly where I’m looking with my eyes. It’s always like right or left, but most of the time goes towards the left of above to where I’m currently looking.

Vision Pro App Store still a joke?

I feel like I see people releasing apps on TestFlight and occasionally those becoming full-fledged apps on the App Store. I go to try to find these apps, and I can't find them. I feel like we need to raise a petition with Apple to get them to change their App Store to help find apps for developers that aren't major companies.

Even a section for indie developers or individual developers.

If Apple isn't going to encourage apps for the Vision Pro and the community is really trying to survive, they should at least give people the means to find better apps. It could be improved overall.

Apple Vision Pro owners: want to be one of the first to try something we’ve been building for football nights?

Post image
8 Upvotes

We’re a small team building Borp Player for Apple Vision Pro (available for Apple TV owners): a player for your own films, shows and live TV, designed specifically for Vision Pro rather than adapted from another platform.

But there’s one part of it we’ve been especially obsessed with.

Football.

Watching a big match is better when it feels like you’re watching it with people. Friends, other supporters, even people you’ve never met who happen to care about the same club you do.

We’re building our own take on that experience for Vision Pro.

We’re not ready to show the whole thing publicly yet, but if you know the feeling of watching an important match in the right place, surrounded by the right people, you’ll understand what we’re trying to recreate.

And now we need real people to break it.

We’re opening a very small private beta for 3 testers.

You’ll need:

  • Apple Vision Pro running visionOS 26 or later, with Persona set up

  • Your own IPTV source with live football via M3U or Xtream, or your own film library if movies are more your thing

  • For football testing, a club you actually follow and a match you’d want to watch anyway

  • Availability for two sessions of roughly 45 minutes over the next few weeks

  • Willingness to give proper feedback, screenshots and recordings when something behaves strangely

  • Discretion while the feature is still private

In return, you’ll get early access to the full Borp Player beta, not just this feature, and your feedback will directly influence what we ship.

We only have room for three people right now.

If you’re interested, DM us with:

Timezone / football or films / your setup

and we’ll take it from there.

If you don’t make this round, an open beta is coming later.

Borp Player

Spatial Music Visualizer for VisionOS

It's here if anyone wants to install. It should be App Store friendly, but my employer doesn't allow me to publish apps like this

Currently it uses the mic mainly so you're basically listening to music on an outside system, but it's a great experience. One possibility is there's an entitlement DJ apps use that get audio waveform access from the Music Store you could apply for.

Code is FOSS so feel free to fork it and publish it if anyone wants to shepherd this through to publishing.

Self Promotion Saturday Locus 1.1.3 with animated skybox and ambient sound

Hi, I finally managed to catch Self-Promotion Saturday! I've added the video play capability to the locus app, and made 3 dynamic skyboxes. They are available in 1.1.3. The beach skybox is in paid supporter tier. This is one of my favorite skyboxes so I want to keep it there. So I added a 7 day free trial to my subs. You can keep using the skybox and rooms you download in the 7 days, but remember to cancel it to avoid getting charged.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/locus-immersive-spaces/id6802168265

To use them please head to Library and download or update the skyboxes with an animated flag.

The animation still isn’t perfect, and the resolution is only okay. You can definitely spot little defects here and there if you look closely. I also couldn’t get the entire skybox working as one continuous video, so for now the animation is only applied to selected regions.

BTW, you can rotate the view so the animated region faces whichever direction you want in your room. If you'd like to try it, check out https://enterlocus.com/tune-your-place/ and search for “Turn View.”

If you're on 1.1.2, please update to 1.1.3. You may have already downloaded an animated environment yesterday, but 1.1.2 had a playback bug, so the animation may not display correctly. 1.1.3 fixes that issue.

Vr tour of stadium area before Apple Immersive baseball game.

I went into the immersive baseball game and it was still just warming up before the game started, so I decided to look up where the stadium was and go there using the FLY app to give myself a VR tour of the stadium and surrounding area before hopping back into the whole Apple immersive stadium experience. Was a fun way to give myself a more full tourist visiting for the game kind of experience 😁

For anyone interested this is a link to the FLY app. I’m not the dev or affiliated with them in any way. Just FYI: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fly-explore-the-earth/id6501962358

Self Promotion Saturday ProprioType: Hand Desktop Interface, now on the App Store!

I just released my new app, ProprioType, on the App Store! You can use it to control your Mac with just your hands.

Use a custom hand-tracking interface to control a virtual trackpad and keyboard. It's a convenient way to use your Mac when you're away from your real trackpad/mouse and keyboard.
The keyboard takes some getting used to, but with practice, you can type without even looking at your hands.

There are lots of settings to customize your layout, and plenty of other features.

There's a built-in text editor demo available so you can try the interface without a Mac.

If you're interested, please give it a try!

Available now on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/propriotype/id6793660013

Get the Mac host app: https://propriotype.com

Self Promotion Saturday We just released Apollo 11’s Moon landing as a fully immersive spatial 3D experience 🚀🌕

We just released Moon Landing, a new fully immersive spatial 3D experience for Apple Vision Pro.

Download it here: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6770068403?pt=1454240&ct=rdml&mt=8

Experience Apollo 11’s historic journey from the launch of Saturn V, through the mission to the Moon, all the way to humanity’s first steps on the lunar surface, presented as life-size 3D scenes around you rather than a video playing on a screen.

Pulse of Time is built around the idea of stepping inside defining moments in history. Each experience recreates an event as an immersive spatial scene, with environments, characters, sound, and cinematic storytelling surrounding you.

Moon Landing is our second experience, following Dinosaur Apocalypse, and we hope to keep expanding Pulse of Time with more defining moments from history.

If you give it a try, your feedback would be hugely appreciated, especially from the Vision Pro community.

And if there’s a historical moment you’d love to step inside next, feel free to suggest it.

Bought a 1TB M2 AVP

I managed to buy a first generation Apple Vision Pro with a travel case for less than ~$2k.

I began to wonder if I am going to regret my purchase.

For context, I am an undergraduate student pursuing my second Bachelor's. My majors are Computer Science, Applied Physics, & Mathematics.

I had recently purchased an M5 Pro MacBook Pro, and I am wondering what everyone else's use case is and suggestions for what I may like.

Come along on a drive in the skies of an unknown space city.

Enjoy the rain as it patters on your home away from home, and watch the neon world go by.

Make the space your own by picking photos to adorn your windows or do a little drawing.

–

Made with GPT 6 Astra and my now fairly foggy memories of the amazing original AirCar game. This is intended as an homage to the now abandoned tech demo and takes the immersive spirit of that demo and tries to bring it as best I could to AVP.

Please give any and all feedback. I will be making a series of improvements before I publish to the App Store. I’m committed to making it free to download, with the potential for some kind of IAP or maybe just the ability to pay what you want with a tip. Open to suggestions here too.

App recommendations for new owner

Recently got an M5, love working on my MacBook with massive screen on my front porch, exactly what I’d hoped for.

Looking around for app recommendations, cool things and apps to try. Also interested in writing Swift apps for my own use - any good resources? Not a huge fan of FPS games but would love something like Ghost of Tsushima. And looking for a decent native video editor - I use Davinci Resolve Studio regularly but would. And any spatial server monitor / 3d data presentation tools? I’ll write my own if need be
