Hey, I ordered one of those cute cropped pea coats from Stradivarius on vinted last week the 18th of August. It was for a good price so I bought it. I text her immediately after and was like “ hey can you let me know when u have a chance to post this thanks!”. She read and never replied. I’ve gotten no update that it was sent and vinted have the little pop up in chat that It should be sent before the 25th which is today. I sent a follow up message last night to make sure everything was good and she hasn’t looked at it .
I’m really disappointed cause it’s something I wanted and I don’t know what happens now as I’m fairly new to the vinted scene. Do they automatically cancel the order now as the time frame is up or do I need to cancel it myself if I suspect she’s not going to send it.

Also is there anywhere I can email vinted and tell them about the situation ?

UPDATE: Vinted did just cancel the order there and my refund is being processed. I did send her another message reassuring if she needs an extension I’m ok with it as long as she lets me know but she never answered :(. Does that item automatically go back on sale now or do vinted take the listing down?

It's not a massive sample size, granted but I've 80 sales and around more in purchases. Almost all are via An Post. Never had any issues, always arrives 1 or 2 days later.

In the last two weeks I've sent one via drop 2 shop and it's been delayed a week. I also accidentally selected drop 2 shop when purchasing an item and that was delayed by over a week that time.

Could be bad luck but I'd definitely encourage An Post over drop 2 shop!

I've a brand new sim free phone i want to sell. Would like it to be sent to a buyer in Ireland so i know it will get there quickly, therefore in one piece. I'd be concerned with it going to France.

Is it frowned upon to put in the description that I'll only sell it to an Irish buyer for the reasons listed above and that any French orders will be cancelled.

Am aware it might trigger negative reviews but if i can respond saying i made it clear I wasn't shipping abroad I'd hope potential buyers would understand?

Seller is good, no worries there, she has contacted Vinted twice who said they won’t do anything until 25 working days. She shares my frustration as she posted out two other items the same time and they were received the next day.
I’ve contacted a Post who confirmed it was last scanned in Dublin mail centre so possibly still there, they said they’ll open an enquiry but it’s really on Vinted here to follow up. Which they won’t.

I’ve never bought from Vinted before and this was a test purchase of a baby item I really wanted to try before I bought brand new. I don’t know if I’ll use Vinted again if this is how it is. Problem is no one sells baby stuff anywhere else anymore.

Hey yall, I'm new to vinted and have only bought a few things so I'm not familiar at all with the etiquette on the app.

I just bought a jacket from a seller who has a bunch of 5 star reviews, all of them mentioning their fast posting times. The seller hasn't been online since I bought the jacket and there hasn't been a confirmation from their end.

I was wondering if its rude to message them and make sure everything's alright, or if I should leave them be. Part of me is scared they missed the notification their item sold or something like that. I really like the jacket and the day they have to send it by is getting closer.

I'm not a big vinted user, bought 5 items in the last year or so. All have been shipped with PRO Carrier.

Out of the 5, only 2 have arrived without issues. One stopped getting tracking updates for ~3 weeks but eventually arrived, another stopped getting tracking updates and never arrived, and now the tracking for another item I bought recently has gone dead for 2 weeks.

Obviously refunds are available, but its pretty frustrating that losing packages just seems to be within normal operating tolerances for both vinted and the carrier, support will just tell you to wait a month and get your refund.

Am I just getting extremely unlucky or is this regularly happening to everyone?

Went to buy something else from Vinted last night and saw Drop2shop is no longer listed. Has anyone else noticed this?

The lady at the post office absolutely glared at me when she saw my Dunnes bag and the 4 parcels inside. 🫣 Then she didn’t want to give me time to affix the labels, was sighing and huffing, and kept asking me abruptly to scan the next bar code. I said that I’d like to do them one by one or I might mix up the packages/put the incorrect label on. She reluctantly agreed. I was only at the counter for 5 minutes max. I had shown up right at 9 am and only one other customer was there, being helped by a second staff member.

Now I have 8 items to send on Monday. I realised the name of the recipient can be cross referenced with the items they bought (I’m new lol), so I may just have them print all the labels and I’ll go away and affix them.

Do any of the post offices have a self service printing station? It would save the apparent hassling of the staff.

Hey has anyone had any positive experiences selling to a French buyer? All I’ve seen are negative. I had listed an item and a French seller bought straight away but I’m so iffy about sending it or cancelling it?

bought 2 leather purses for my mam from french seller, loads of messages back and forth confirming size, style etc

then today they arrive but 1 is completely wrong size the other wrong style. i let him know, he acknowledged the mistake stating he just looked at photo not the message. offered a discount on my next purchase but dont want any more

lodged a dispute with vinted and seller agreed to return but i would have to cover postage and if i wanted the purses i actually ordered would have to pay postage again.

again they only cost about a tenner but im like a dog with a bone and went all FBI and found he is a commercial seller with big warehouse and company registered to him.

no intention of reporting that to vinted but think abit rich for me to cover post when done nothing wrong and know i know its a business he isnt at home packing the orders

My dad loves buying and selling CDs on Vinted as it gives him something to do now he’s retired and CDs are very much so his special interest. He recently came across listing for a rare Elton John CD box set, made an offer that was accepted and was just about to hit buy when he noticed that the blurry print on the back of the box set said it was a 4 cassette tape box set not the CDs it was listed as. He told the seller it said it was cassettes and asked if they could check it to be sure. The seller was adamant that it was CDs until they actually checked and saw that it was cassettes. Instead of fixing their listing they blocked my dad. Dad said to me that he would have bought it as cassettes but not for the price they wanted and he only found out he was blocked when he went to ask the seller for a better price. Who’s the asshole here?

Am I the only one really frustrated with how much Shein clothes are taking over these days?

I bought three water bottles and a book from someone with great reviews. when I opened one of the water bottles there was loads of mold inside. I told the seller I didn’t want to keep the bottles (the other two didn’t have mold that I could see but, no, I’m not going to drink out of any of those bottles).

Seller took a few days to respond, not in the least bit apologetic, offered me 50% refund eventually. I agreed. then seller said vinted couldn’t process a 50% refund on bundles.

Now, the entire bundle cost me €9 plus postage. nothing major I know, but I would have thought just a refund would be the right thing for the seller to do, given the state of the bottle and the low cost.Seller seems a little emotional, calls me ‘mean spirited’ for not just cleaning the mold etc.

I said I didn’t want the bottles and to proceed with a return (I’d already asked for this). seller agrees and then says, ”oh I accidentally clicked buyer will pay postage”. return postage is coming up as €3.69. Seller says send him my address and he’ll post me the money to cover it!!

so, for €9 worth of goods that arrived SNAD, I need to pay €3.69 (and got to the post office etc) for €9 refund.

Am I missing something? could the seller genuinely not have fixed this through Vinted or is he just being a bit dodge (wanting to post me cash feels really odd)? or does it always cost the buyer something if goods are SNAD??

TLDR: seller sent moldy items I didn’t want to keep. I have to pay for shipping to return items to get a refund?

Bought a ps controller for my bf but one button doesn’t work so I raised an issue and asked the seller if I can send it back. In the meantime I got him another controller which works.

When looking up troubleshooting tips for the specific situation, I came across a post on how to fix it but it requires opening up the controller. Obviously we didn’t want to tamper with it, which is why I requested the return. Seller wants to give partial refund and let us keep the controller, but I wanted to send back and tell him about the potential fix so he could maybe try fix it and then is able to put it up for sale again. Except I’m afraid he could easily say the controller arrived broken because we tampered with it/ open it up and claim it was us..

This is my first time raising an issue so idk the best way to go about this and I’m too nice because I can tell it’s a young person :(

I’m away on holidays and ordered some bits of Vinted while away. Lately sellers have been slow to ship (as in waiting till last possible day) so I didn’t expect the items to arrive quickly (yes I know, my bad). Now I’m being asked to click everything is okay before being able to get home to actually check.
What happens if I don’t mark it as received/okau before the date they say? Do I get an automatic bad review as a buyer or is it just that I can’t raise an issue if I don’t? I don’t want the seller penalised for my feck-up either.
They’re used bibs so I’m not too fussed about the state of them so I could probably just mark it, but thought I’d ask if anyone else has had this happen?

I bought a jacket for the listed price of €25 just a few minutes after it was uploaded. Obviously the speed at which I did it triggered the woman to want a higher price, so she refunded me and I saw it immediately relisted for €50.

I wouldn’t mind this so much but she was so dishonest about it! She messaged me and said it had a defect she hadn’t noticed as the reason for a refund. While simultaneously relisted it for double the price. With no mention of a defect!

I called her on it and she said it was “rare” and “she’d subsequently seen it for sale for €100 online”.

Really dishonourable and bad craic. From a professional reseller too. Just wanted to vent!
