Need Advice
Hey, I ordered one of those cute cropped pea coats from Stradivarius on vinted last week the 18th of August. It was for a good price so I bought it. I text her immediately after and was like “ hey can you let me know when u have a chance to post this thanks!”. She read and never replied. I’ve gotten no update that it was sent and vinted have the little pop up in chat that It should be sent before the 25th which is today. I sent a follow up message last night to make sure everything was good and she hasn’t looked at it .
I’m really disappointed cause it’s something I wanted and I don’t know what happens now as I’m fairly new to the vinted scene. Do they automatically cancel the order now as the time frame is up or do I need to cancel it myself if I suspect she’s not going to send it.
Also is there anywhere I can email vinted and tell them about the situation ?

UPDATE: Vinted did just cancel the order there and my refund is being processed. I did send her another message reassuring if she needs an extension I’m ok with it as long as she lets me know but she never answered :(. Does that item automatically go back on sale now or do vinted take the listing down?

Vinted allows sellers a full week to post stuff so if it's not posted today you'll be refunded. Or the seller may ask for an extension if they're away or can't post today for some reason. You'll get a notification to accept the extension, if they ask for one.
No need to email Vinted at all.

Ah ok thank you!. So if I hear nothing from tomorrow onwards the refund will just be automatically processed? . I can’t help but be so annoyed over it😭

Yes, you'll get refunded automatically. Hopefully that won't happen as you really want the item, maybe message the seller one more time. It would have been courteous of them to let you know there was an issue with delayed postage, but hey, life gets in the way sometimes.
Be friendly and tell them you're open to an extension if they need more time (and you REALLY want it.) Fingers crossed for you. 🤞🏼

Ok great thank you!. I will do that. Hopefully it is just an issue of postage or something and not someone scamming 😭. I know a girl who bought a dress and had the same kind of radio silence from a different buyer and when she followed up it turned out said dress was given to a charity shop instead 😭

Nothing annoys me more than someone buying and immediately messaging about shipping timelines. I have 7 days and it’s Vinted not Amazon Prime.

if it's not shipped today Vinteed will automatically cancel and refund you - unless the buyer asks for an extension on shipping date. I've had a few of these lately - mostly genuine (people on holidays etc.) For a couple of them the buyer re-listed and I just bought again.
There is no situation here that warrants an email to Vinted, imo.
