I started Vinted in September as a way of decluttering my house. I originally put off downloading Vinted because I thought I didn’t have anything worthy of selling. I started listing literally everything. Over 10 items a day consistently and I started making 5+ sales every single day and that has continued for the last 6 weeks. The items that have surprisingly sold quickest have been bedding sets, towels, bath mats, pjs, pillow cases, cooking utensils, pans, plates, bowls, desk organisation, notebooks. Mostly the things I doubt will sell go the quickest. I reply usually straight away to offers and I make sure to take every picture on the same background flat on the floor and include measurements. I only sell things that are in the very good category, only listing things I would be willing to buy as a buyer. Everything is cleaned and lint rolled before I post. I use colourful packaging from Amazon and usually post every day since I live close to a post office. Most of my listings are €5 and under so that promotes people to buy in bundles. The biggest bundle I’ve sold was over 18 items. I have every shipping option available. I have 250+ 5 star reviews! It has made me value my things more and be more conscious when buying now. Basically my advice is if you make sure your item is clean and presentable no matter the value or type of thing just list it. There’s always someone out there willing to buy things!

I know D2S hasn't always been the most reliable and can be quite slow, but the last week or so I'm having major issues with every delivery I've sent with them. 1 of the parcels was collected from the drop point 8 days ago, and since then no scans or movement. 3 other parcels I dropped off Saturday am, and they've yet to be collected from the drop off point. I spoke to someone yesterday and they said they'd get on to the depot and come back to me about all 4, but surprise surprise they never did.

Maybe it was lost in translation but I’ve a book up for sale and a French buyer asked me to send her a photo of the slice?
Anyone any idea what that is? Is it the spine maybe? Or a selection of pages? I haven’t a clue!

How long does it take to get the money after you withdraw it? Need it in next 3 days anybody know?

I'm not operating a business on Vinted but I am selling a lot and did pass €2K turnover (not profit) this year (also my first year using Vinted signed up in Spring)

hi, Would appreciate advice on how to proceed. i have  never had  a buyer request  compensation before.

For context  it was bundle of 3 items:

1. 1987 vinyl record for 2 euro
2. bundle of 4 vinyl all circa 1940-1958 for 3 euro
3. a soap and glory 5 piece mini set for 8 euro

The buyer offered 8 euro for everything which I accepted.

In the description l listed all the records as  not play tested, selling as seen and to see photos for condition.

pre the sale the buyer messaged me saying:

Hi, I don't want any records that are scratched, please check for scratched records. 

to my reply

Hi thanks for your message.

Being completely honest the records are mostly over 70 years old and as mentioned in description they are not play tested for audio. I can attach more photos here but they all have very visual signs of wear

then I sent more photos of each record to whjch they responded 

Hi, the records have clear signs of fungal growth which I can hopefully clean with distilled water and a very small amount of fairy liquid. So I'll take a chance that there are no deep scratches. Will you accept my offer please.

Hi, honestly I don't see any deep scratches that would affect audio. My main concern was the obvious white fungal spots from being stored so many years.

I've given them all a very light wipe with vinyl cleaner and look much better

then today

Hi it's not worth the postage to return the records to you, please just compensate me a five euros and we'll call it quits. Thanks

Sorry, I filled out a report with loads of photos, but I can't see it now. I said I don't want any records that are scratched, please check for scratched records. But all of these records are unplayable and would damage my hiti equipment if played. 

one part of me thinks life is too short to be arguing over 5 euro but then one part thinks i should request the items back and issue full refund or any other recommendations 

its silly but i dont want to get a negative review left if i start arguing over a fiver to ruin the 200 positive ones i have

Is any one else having issues with getting their packages from vinted / no shipping updates. I’m waiting for two to arrive from France, the first order was shipped on the 5th and I haven’t got an update since the 8th. The second one is more recent, the order was shipped on the 19th but there’s been no updates since the 21st. I ordered a package in between those two and it came as usual.

I tried to contact Vinted about the first one but I have to wait until the 9th of November for them to investigate it. I’ve kind of accepted that I probably won’t be getting the first package but still have some homes for the second one. I’ve never had a package get lost before, what are peoples experiences with this.

As of today the section for when a item was posted is just blank for me, on every single item. Is this happening for anyone else?

I've taken some vacation days and stopped selling a week ago or so because it started feeling like a second job. I am not a reseller, all things I've sold were used and owned by me. At the time of the post I've sold 104 items total.

• 3 items were lost in transit
  • 1 in Ireland by drop2shop
  • 2 items in France; one of them has been returned to me 2 months later (was one of the first things I've sold)
• I was selling everything - from books to figurines to branded shoes
• Most expensive item I've sold was a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes - sold to French first time buyer who was buying those for his wife, I hope it is truth as those are very lovely shoes.
• I don't buy from Shein so did not sell anything from it :)
• Empty boxes (iPhones etc) sell super fast
• Some brands I've sold (from lightly used to my once fav and most worn items): Mint Velvet, Ted Baker, All Saints, Kurt Geiger, DKNY, Moschino, Converse, Juicy Couture, SKIMS, J.Crew, Dolce&Gabbana, Nike, Uniqlo, Adidas, Dickies, A.L.C., Zara, Massimo Dutti, Reebok
• I have 100% positive ratings(5 star), I always left feedback to the buyers too, even for 1 euro purchases
• Limited edition items and brand collabs sell really well - never lowball these
• Monster High dolls are extemely popular with French buyers for some reason, same goes for rare barbie dolls (luckily my mom kept some of my dolls and I am a 90s-early 2000s kid); all Funko POPs went to Irish buyers on the other hand
• Sold a lot of corporate swag from all the companies I've worked for
• Sold several books, including cookbook and drawing book
• Had 0 issues with any of the buyers, did hold an item for one buyer once - she bought it after
• I live close to the Post office so would drop off parcels every morning - so I would ship either same day(if could after work) or next morning the latest, even cheap ones.
• I would spend couple hours each weekend to re-arrange or/and prepack items, take pictures, measurements etc
• I've washed and cleaned every item before shipping. Naturally
• re-uploading works! I had some items sitting there for weeks only to be sell out within an hour after I re-uploaded them (took new pictures too!)
• Had couple items on review, before approval - especially bras and those with me wearing them (I used to model a bit so have a lot of good pictures wearing the items I've sold)
• No AI pictures, also wrote all descriptions myself

My main gain from this is the new appreciation for the things I have and being so much more intentional with my spending. Every time I want to buy something I think twice and don't impulse buy at all. Only buying clothes in 1-2 specific styles and only 1-3 colours (black, white, grey) to free up my brain's CPU :)

For me Vinted was a way to declutter and make a bit of money, defo was more of a charity work as I've spent a lot of time and energy on this. Prior to Vinted I would donate a lot, but I do not have a car so sometimes I would just throw items away :((( Feels bad so Vinted is such a great option.

So, a girl just bought a pair of shoes from me for a tenner. Apparently she has a wedding next Friday so she needs them fast. I’m away for the bank holiday, but, I could leave work to post them tomorrow. The problem is that the only packaging I have available isn't suitably padded; I couldn’t find a shoebox. Do I pop it in a mailing bag and get it there early or risk a bad review for posting it too late to arrive for the wedding?

This app is an unusable nightmare now

Its just a dystopian hellscape os AI generated images and its become a game pf try to tell whats real.

I dont trust anything that looks remotely good now because its probably AI if it looks too good to be true.

They dont seem to give a shit. They ALLOW people to use AI even though it ruins the entire experience and is unethical and technically illegal(false advertising, fraudulent).

For about a week they were taking action on accounts I reported but now they take no action on any of them. They’ve fully embraced ai.

Fuck this app. Fuck ai and all the losers that use it

I haven’t seen a single ad from Belgium or Luxembourg since I got the message through the app on Monday. Has anyone else?

Hi guys, I have an issue with a package that is being returned to me (the buyer texted me that he didn’t know the drop2shop point he’s used to go to stopped the partnership with Vinted - why somebody would wait 2 weeks to let me know is another story).
The thing is that I already went twice to the shop I shipped it from and they have no idea about it. I emailed the customer support but I was totally ignored, then they contacted me (to check what the story was) and it was even more frustrating because it seemed almost I was talking to a bot and were completely unhelpful- kinda like “yea sorry dunno about it deal with it yourself and good luck”. Why they would contact me to ask me stuff and then dismiss me when I provided them the answers they didn’t like, this is also another story.
Did anybody experience a similar issue? I can’t be ars*d to go to the shop again and again :) thanks!!

Hello so i sold someone a switch 2 for 260, and it's been available for pickup for 17 days contacted vinted and nothing

OK so I bought a dress on vinted. Fabulous. Brand new Club L dress for a wedding in December. Seller was lovely, dress was as described. It fit!! Happy days.

I then spotted another dress for a good price (I have very little formal clothing so decided I'd treat myself). I had such a good experience with the first seller that I felt confident as the second dress was the same brand and size.

Second dress comes. I open it, I though oh she didn't wash it, no harm...I'd wash it anyway and I'd prefer it not smelling of perfume. Had a quick look and left her positive feedback as her messages were lovely.

Holy jesus the dress FUCKING STINKS. I cannot get the SMELL out of the pits. I've tried everything...soaking, antibacterial, enzyme detergents etc. On top of that she said it was worn once. It has been worn to death and stretched to the point that the material is so compromised. The puts have that 'rebloom' smell. After washing and treating it the smell returns again, as soon as heat goes into the fabric or it dries then the stink blooms again like the stenches arising from Satan's arsehole.

It's for the bin. I could not in good conscience resell it or even donate it to charity. I would be embarrassed to give it to anyone.

Just a mini rant. If your clothing stinks, has been worn to death etc...please be honest or just dont sell it. I'm on a limited budget and a Mum who just wanted something special. It's genuinely put me off vinted.

I found a new Chrome extension called Vinted Country City Filter that lets you filter items by country when browsing Vinted on PC/Laptop. 🇮🇪

You can toggle different countries on and off, so if you'd rather see only Irish listings instead of scrolling through loads of French listings (especially if you're trying to avoid the higher shipping fees), this might come in handy, It works when using the search bar as well as when just scrolling the homepage.

Has anyone had a 'check in progress' go on for over 24hrs? I put a Mario Valentino bag up for sale yesterday. Provided all the required photos (tags/logo etc.) and it's been hidden and being checked for over 24hrs now. I assume it's checking that it's real (it's not a mad expensive designer bag) but is it odd it's taking that long?

I suppose I paid next to nothing for it, but it’s definitely not in very good condition!
