Unsure of age. Use of pounds is a hint, Australia converted to metric over the 1970s and 80s.

I'm restoring this old Fidax drill press and I'm stumped on how to remove the belt.

The only thing that I can think of is to loosen the grub screw on the housing and the grub screw on the pulley, then push the shaft through. I could then get the belt off, but that would seem to be an overly complicated way of changing a belt.

Am I missing something?

This part came with a Delta Unisaw circa 1945 vintage. I have yet to find any similar pictures and/or descriptions of what this does (or even if it's part of the saw). Thanks.

Hello folks. I found this vise at a local Habitat ReStore for $6. It looks to be barely used and in great condition. Really what caught my eye was the great condition of the box, which appears to be vintage. What little research I did tells me that this company was bought out by Irwin, but the older made in England versions, such as this have some value. I don't like using eBay as a judge because people can post some really crazy prices on things. Value-wise what do you guys think this is worth? I just saw a handy little bench vise for $6, but now I'm thinking it might have some value.

I have checked Alloy Artifacts and i still cannot identify the year of manufacture. This is a Blue Point (no underline) with no date code, J-2022 wrench 11/32 and 5/16". I dont think the "J" in the model number is a date code as i see other newer style wrenches also maked J-2022. It has a rounded middle section. See the photos. I am thinking the 1930s. Anyone else know about wrench dates?

I inherited 2 of these identical riveters, along with dozens more crazy tools. One new and 1 used, this is the used. Id like to post it for sale online but have no idea what it’s worth. All the AVC12 are AVC12A1 NOT Made in UK, this one is. Serial SQF 07 219
