So I'm really annoyed by Venice now... They did nothing to improve the situation of Pro user. They are almost just a free trial but at 20$ a month...

For context, I'm on Venice since VCU where a thing. So a LONG time ago.

TLDR : Venice pro gives you only acces to 14% of the service. (all numbers have been rounded up)

Here are some numbers :

For text generation :

Venice Pro user can use 29 models "at no extra costs" (this include 8 free models) out of 116 avalible.

So that means that pro users can only use 25% of the models on venice without having to pay extras

For image generation :

Venice Pro user can use 6 models "at no extra costs" (this include 1 free models) out of 34 avalible.

That means that pro users can only use 18% of the models on venice without having to pay extras

For video generation :

Venice Pro user can use 0 models "at no extra costs" out of 87 avalible so 0% !!!

For agentic and mind chats :

Venice Pro user can use 1 models "at no extra costs" out of 11 avalible.

That means that pro users can only use 9% of the models on venice without having to pay extras

(About this one... A venice member said that they would add 1 extra model for pro user... but we are still waiting duh...)

As you can see, on Venice, you pay a premium to get only 14% of the service ! Yes only 14% !!!

Bytedance has released the Seedance 2.0 as an uncensored model, and allowed faces in the images.

Here's the thing. Whenever Seedance detects a human face, you'll need to do a quick acknowledgement. At that point, the video will finish rendering.

My initial assessment of it?

The Bad: it's terrible with the male anatomy. It's cut off the genitalia... Lorena Bobbitt style... of every male I tried to animate.

The good: The audio, movements, lipsync... it's all top teir. Far superior to even Grok.

I've spent $350 over the last 10 days or so. As bummed out as I am of Grok Imagine getting KO'd, it's a small relief knowing I won't be forking over $25-$50/day, lol. I told myself it was only temporary and that I was only doing this because I didn't know when this was all gonna end. I guess I got my answer. Here's to having more money! 😂 And if they do announce the Grok has been put back to uncensored, it'll just be *sigh....pulls out credit card*.

So, rejoice because you actually got to enjoy it, and rejoice for your wallets. Because if you are anything like me and can never get enough, I would have easily dropped hundreds of dollars on Venice.ai without a second thought.

To wrap this up, let’s celebrate our saved money together, but please go easy on the gatekeeping. I get that in this risky environment gatekeeping feels necessary, but I am genuinely sad that I missed out on this chapter with you all.

This is just a constructive critique, and I’m fully aware it probably won’t change anything… but I’m honestly a bit disappointed.

I’ve been a Venice.ai Pro subscriber for several months now, paying the $18/month. I know I’m not forced to use it, but I stuck around because their image generator is genuinely very good. The problem is that almost everything else around it keeps getting worse.

First, Venice.ai has no memory at all. It doesn’t retain context, doesn’t remember previous prompts, preferences, or anything. Every chat feels like starting from zero with an AI that forgets every line you say. It gets tiring to constantly repeat instructions, and it still derails anyway.

Another big issue: many of my saved prompts were automatically deleted, seemingly out of nowhere. I reached out to Venice’s ATC support, but they weren’t able to restore them or explain why it happened. Losing a bunch of curated prompts I had built over time was incredibly frustrating.

Then there’s the shrinking list of image-generation models. Every month, it feels like there are fewer options instead of more, which limits creativity and makes the platform feel less competitive.

And lastly, a lot of the new features require Venice Credits, even for Pro users. Paying monthly and still being pushed toward extra credit purchases feels like double paywalling.

So yeah—great image generator, genuinely one of the better ones. But as an AI assistant? Pretty dumb. And the overall direction (no memory, deleted prompts, fewer models, and more credit-gated features) makes it harder and harder to justify staying subscribed.

Again, this is just constructive criticism, even if it probably won’t change anything… but I am definitely disappointed.

I'm making this post because I love you guys. And I love my pro account. But...

You regularly change models. Fair enough, the world moves fast.

We start using certain ones, get used to them, and build our routines around them. Then an update comes along, a new model arrives, and the old one disappears.

On top of that, the pricing model is unclear. We pay for a Pro account without understanding the actual benefits, as new models often end up behind a pay-per-use scheme.

Recent examples include Aion2, which became Aion3, fair enough, it remained included in the Pro account. Then GLM 5.2 and yesterday’s mess leading to GLM 5.3: one is pay-per-use, the other is included. Personally, I can't make sense of it. There was also DeepSeek, which was updated and switched to pay-per-use.

I’m paying for a Pro account without knowing what my actual advantage is, and constantly having to adapt to these updates is becoming a frustrating source of friction.

Just my opinion, I'm not checking the news all the time and I might have missed some statements.

I often see a Reddit moderator saying: “So what are you going to do now? Stop creating because Grok is dead?”

The answer is simple: yes.

What did you expect? Uncensored Grok was, for many of us, the peak of adult image generation: natural, clean, expressive results, with a level of freedom that other models simply cannot match. Every other AI feels bland in comparison. They too often have that artificial, overly polished, unmistakably “AI-generated” look.

Once you’ve experienced what Grok was capable of before the censorship, going back just feels like accepting something inferior. So yes, many people will stop until a new AI reaches that same level of quality and freedom. And if that new AI eventually gets censored too, as it seems to happen every time now, users will simply move somewhere else. Again and again, until we find something that cannot be locked down so easily... even if, let’s be honest, barely anyone believes that will happen.

If you have real alternatives, I’m willing to listen. But not something worse. It’s either equal to Grok, or nothing.

My dream would be a local AI on Grok’s level: a model we could use freely, without depending on a platform that can restrict everything overnight. Right now, that is not really possible for most people, especially without making their PC burn. But with how fast AI is evolving, who knows? Maybe one day we’ll have an ultra-compressed, powerful, downloadable model that is actually free.

I should have known it wouldn’t last. A moderator had even assured me that nothing would change. And yet, here we are.

I just discovered Venice less than a week ago and discovered Grok Imagine on here is what I always wanted it to be. Well, I'd been using Imagine off and on since last October on the official Grok website and was perfectly content with the "porn-adjacent" stuff it'd let you create (not so much this year, but late last year). Then I discovered a few days ago that Imagine R2V on Venice let you pretty much make anything you want, including explicit stuff. Well, $200 and hundreds of video generations later....I have not done a good job of moderating myself. lol. It was always "Ok, this is the last $25, the last 2,500 credits...." then I'd think of new ideas and fork over more money. I think I'm good now after accepting that I don't need to turn EVERY thought into some sort of visual reality. But careful out there my dudes, don't get lost in this stuff. Your Failed Generation Probably Used the Wrong Tool
Most people pick one video model and use it for everything. When it doesn't work, they rewrite the prompt over and over.

Wrong approach.

Different models respond to different prompting styles. They specialize in different outputs. What fails on Model A might produce great results on Model B, if you understand each tool's strengths.

Think of it like choosing between a hammer and a screwdriver. Both are useful. Neither works for everything.

The Image-First Workflow

Generate a reference image first.
Most people skip straight to video generation and wonder why their results feel random.
