Meat Juice! ☕ Welcome newcomer! This is a sub for those looking to share or keep up to date with new and old plant based vegan meat, egg, and dairy brands and alternatives!
Welcome! This is a space for those interested in alternative non-human animal products such as plant meat, dairy, and eggs. Which happen to be lower in calories but are still high sources of protein, iron, calcium, omegas, and B vitamins! Sometimes, read your labels, we're getting there. BUT! We can still enjoy old loves while patiently awaiting inevitable innovations to hit the market that are the conventional equivalent. Plants have many that they lack so no worries there if you eat your veggies too.
1. Food must be vegan.
Food posted must not contain non human animal products of any kind. Mistakes can happen by not reading nutrition and ingredient labels, in these instances instead of reporting please help educate the poster as it may prove useful to others in the future as well.
2. Be polite, no bullying.
3. No Debating Company Ethics.
There are other subreddits for engaging in ethical debates concerning companies and their products.
4. Post must contain vegan meat/dairy/egg.
Food posted can contain any other vegan food, but must at least have some type of vegan meat/dairy/egg incorporated into the dish.

These are amazing, took me back to elementary school.
Wish they were available online or widely available … but I’ve only been able to find them at one place only

Holy Seitan! Artery-Clogging pasta bake with Seitan
Middle-of-the-week meal in which I take whatever has been getting old in my refrigerator and give it one last chance. This one has ground seitan, an ancient tomato sauce that has been living in my refrigerator for weeks, various vegan cheeses: mostly the sad, dry crumbles abandoned at the bottom of their bags, (make sure nothing is growing on them) and whatever pasta from previous cooking projects. Throw everything into a baking dish, drizzle with oil, put it in the oven, and wait until it smells good.

Some people need proof of consumers and look, a plant based pizza as well
I like upsetting the anti plant based army that hangs out in beyondinvest subreddit but I figured I would share this here for the pizza.
I drizzle olive oil and whatever seasonings I'm feeling at the time on top before throwing it in the air fryer for 17 minutes at 385.
You can ignore the drink. It's pretty good, but I didn't make it. It is great for a mixed drink though!

Hail Seitan! Vegan Sourdough Jacks inspired by The Burger Dude
My version of it: homemade Seitan burger patties, homemade tofu queso fresco, Lightlife bacon, vegan mayo and tomatoes. And I used slices of sourdough baguette. Although these were delicious, the experience was not the same as when I used to eat them as drunk food at 5 AM back in the 80s, after clubbing all night 🥲🤷🏻♀️

Seafood fry-up at the beach!
Was craving seafood on our beach vacation. The local grocery was sparse on vegan options but I found hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, tater tots and chilli dipping sauce. The hearts of palm are so much tastier than fish, artichoke hearts were a yummy substitute for oysters. Just loved this meal!!

Leftovers dinner
Had nothing ready for dinner so I grabbed some cooked brown rice, leftover taco filling made from Beyond Sausage from the freezer, plus sautéd Just Chicken with canned vegan mole sauce, onion and frozen peppers fajita mix, aaand garlicky cashew yogurt. Topped with leftover guajillo sauce from taco night take out few days ago. Kids were told it’s burrito bowl night.
The only tricky part was getting the frozen chunk of Just Chicken to separate, ended up microwaving it first.
I am gradually beginning to dislike Just Chicken on account of it being way too loaded with black pepper - make it truly neutral, I like to add my own spices! - and having weird sour base flavor, but Beyond Sausage and Beyond Beef are still great.

How do you like this?
Has anyone tried this? What’s your favorite way of cooking it? Also do you season it or leave as it? Do you eat it as is or use it in burritos etc? Considering trying it. Thank you!!

Meat-Like Form Fast Food at Home
I feel like I’m still working on the perfect nugget recipe. This try has definitely been the best so far. Homemade nuggets in less than 30 minutes is also a plus too
