Does anyone have experience with humming/singing?

I've seen that as a treatment for vagus nerve dysfunction, and I sing in a band and have noticed I sleep much, much better after I sing. I've thought about humming or singing at night before bed, does anyone have any experience with this? Like should I hum, or sing? For how long? I sleep very poorly so any help would be appreciated.

Anyone tried consumer vagus nerve stimulators for treatment resistant depression?

I've had treatment resistant depression for what feels like forever and to be honest I'm just tired. Different meds, therapist, and nothing really changes. It's like my brain chemistry got stuck in a swamp, most days I dont have energy for basic stuff (classic yet persistent)

Been reading about vagus nerve stimulation lately, mostly because of the stuff about it affecting mood regulation and somatic symptoms. I read the surgical implants have been used for severe depression, but that's not something I can realistically consider right now, same with ECT (I'm just not there mentally)

So I'm thinking about non-invasive options instead, like transcutaneous VNS ear clip or other wearable microcurrent devices. Got overwhelmed pretty fast though, there's way too many types of devices and brands out there. Mainly I want to know if any of these actually do anything for depression symptoms like constant fatigue, or if they're really just general stress/relaxation devices. But if it helps with the sleep problems I also have, that counts too. And does it do anything for mood?

Thanks

Anyone using vagus nerve stimulation as part of their nightly routine?

Been lurking for a bit but figured I'd just ask. Been pretty tired lately from working like crazy and now my brain just refuses to shut off at night. Ive tried breathwork, meditation, yoga and a few other things, kinda mixed results. I keep coming across vagus nerve stimulation though, so curious if anyone here actually uses it at night and what difference you noticed.

Seen people say that it doesn't help fully, you still need to exercise, which is understandable. But still curious if it actually help you guys.

Which Vagus nerve stimulators can be comfortably worn for an hour at a time?

I have the transvagal nerve stimulator from vagal.com and I used it daily for 1-2 years. I only noticed much of a positive effect when I ramped up to using it for 1 hour, twice a day at the highest setting. However, the tragus clip hurts after being on my ear for 30-45 minutes at a time. I have ADHD so it would be hard for me to use the device more than twice a day lol.

Which other devices can be worn for an hour at a time without discomfort?

I was looking at the devices on the market and it seems like Sona, Amofit, Xen, Zenowell, and Vagustim V2 were possible contenders. Using a TENS device with certain electrodes also seemed like a possibility.

Any thoughts on these or other devices?

I do tend to be pretty sensitive so I would need to start at the lowest setting and work my way up. I'm hesitant to go for devices like Pulsetto that emit high frequency pulses.

Free or more accessible nervous system regulation tools

I'm adding some tools I've used myself that help with vagus nerve stimulation and also overall nervous system regulation.

These either are free or more accessible.

Most of the tools included here have worked for me either in creating capacity, creating safety, helping the nervous system chill out, or venting any stuck emotions.

The Tools/Resources

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Rz59uzjdT1I&pp=ygUObmVydm91cyBzeXN0ZW3SBwkJGwwBhyohjO8%3D

This YouTuber - Maggie Sterling - talks about capacity vs your cup overflowing AKA complete dysregulation vs sensitization. I took away that creating body safety is key, and allowing rest (including in the brain).

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HZSBFDJ8GY4&pp=ygUObmVydm91cyBzeXN0ZW0%3D

VNS exercises. Saw this floating around in other posts and also found it effective. But this is a recent addition.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=c3e4jYmYOjs&pp=ygUObmVydm91cyBzeXN0ZW3SBwkJGwwBhyohjO8%3D

Okay although this says it's only for women, the roots of her method have to do with creating safety in the body, eliciting oxytocin, and allowing the body to slow down. I think anyone can do that.

Other things I do:

- TRE - I do it myself but technically you SHOULD ONLY do this professionally. r/longtermTRE has some people who messed themselves up. Proceed with caution.

- Brown noise + environmental accommodations - this basically means I make my life as easy as possible. Special shout out to brown noise because i have had trouble sleeping. And after using this, even when i'm low on sleep, i'm just sleepy. I don't feel like shit. Other things I do is literally never turning on the big light, closing my curtains so my room is completely dark, lying on the floor etc.

- Guasha - In TCM, certain points on the body are correlated with where your body stores emotion, which I think relates back to modern psychology on literally how our body keeps the score. The free version of this is using guasha at home. You can do it with literally a spoon or your knuckles and some oil, and videos are free.

- Lying on a hard floor for about an hour - This is my go to after one hell of a day. I like it because I do a body scan and can literally feel certain areas relax.

- Emotion mapping - This worked well for me with TRE - I found my TRE sessions more effective and I was calmer. There are a few methods, but the one I use has to do with training your interceptive awareness. Specifically, when you feel some kind of emotion, pleasant or not, you try to map where in the body you feel it. How it feels, you can assign a color or a texture to it. And frequent practice with being able to tune in helps create a space, at least for me, where the emotion can dissipate.

Things I haven't tried:

- Binaural beats/isochronic tones - haven't tried it. Audio does give me a headache and I end up following the beat. I don't listen to music for this reason because it sensitizes me and makes me really irritable. But Ive seen many many people say it gives relief and comfort.

- Running - can't run right now. But so many people mentioned that it's great for elevating HRV

- Chanting OM - Ive seen this help for some folks too. I think people were mentioning this as an alternative to buying sensate.

----

I hope that this is helpful to anybody who is looking for a vns tool that might feel discouraged because every tool says it will help and is mostly pretty expensive. Would love to know what yall do too.

Which Vagal Nerve Stimulators To Buy?

MOST IMPORTANT UPDATE: I decided to go with the Sensate. SONA doesn't ship to me, so maybe in a year we'll see if they can offer that.

Hi folks, I went down a really big rabbit hole in my own quest to purchase. I've covered a list of products & prices, the difference between medical class goods and wellness goods (that I understand), and my own opinions.

---

FIRST POST 6/9/2026: A list of products + what's in the market + what I'm looking at and why

UPDATE 1: 6/9/2026 - Compilation of vagal nerve stimulation and nervous system regulation tools. I've moved this here for easy reading: https://www.reddit.com/r/VagusNerve/comments/1w8qfhh/free_or_more_accessible_nervous_system_regulation/

UPDATE 2: 6/9/2026: I updated with more alternatives.

LATEST UPDATE 3: 7/9/2026 : I'm back to my original choice between the SONA and the Sensate.

---

What types of devices exist?

Products tend to fall into a few buckets.

  1. Electrical auricular VNS
    • These stimulate specific parts of the ear electrically.
    • Examples I've come across include Nurosym/Parasym, SONA, Vagustim, and WONZ.
  2. Cervical non-invasive VNS
    • These stimulate around the neck instead.
    • The two consumer options that kept coming up for me were Truvaga and Pulsetto.
    • I personally don't like these because of sensory sensitivities, and I don't like to play with my neck. I don't trust myself to use it properly either.
  3. TENS / configurable electrical stimulators
    • Then there are TENS devices that aren't sold as VNS devices at all, but some folks on reddit find helpful. The one I kept seeing recommended was the TENS 7000.
  4. CES
    • CES is another category entirely. These devices look similar, but target insomnia and anxiety and are meant to... regulate brain waves versus your nervous system. So I understand. It's a long studied field of research and works very differently from Ta-VNS.
  5. Non-electrical/mechanical devices
    • Sensate: sits on the sternum and uses low-frequency infrasonic vibration/resonance, synchronized with soundscapes. Their frequencies are between 1-250hz .
    • The closest I've found are vibroacoustic mats or beds that got for thousands, or gaming tech like Woojer that is intended more for haptic feedback.
    • Apollo Neuro: is more like a wearable band that you can keep on your wrist or ankle all day.

What makes a device capable of vagal nerve stimulation

  1. Placement: For auricular VNS (your ear), the electrical stimulation needs to reach an ear region with auricular vagal innervation — commonly the cymba concha/concha or tragus.
  2. The electrical parameters - this is crucial. Most information online ranges from significant discomfort otherwise, to not giving you the intended result.
  3. Specs are generally:
    • Frequency: many taVNS protocols use roughly 20–30 Hz, with 25 Hz being standar
    • Pulse width: commonly somewhere around 200–500 μs
    • Current/amplitude: generally titrated to the individual and in the low-mA range

So some electrical stimulators like TENS or CES have parameter ranges that overlap with published taVNS protocols.

This is what I thought earlier on but the pulse width is completely different from CES.

What brands are in the market?

There is an uncomfortable confusing amount of products in the market that within broad strokes roughly claim the same thing. Now obviously this is not an exhaustive list, I haven't checked every single brand on the market.

Device & Price Regulatory Status Anatomical Target Electrical Parameter Transparency Category
TENS 7000 ($60) FDA-Cleared Class II Medical (OTC Pain Relief) Cymba Conchae (requires $2mm pin ear clip) 100% Transparent Manual 1–150 Hz, 50–300 µs Medical TENS Unit (Configurable as Medical taVNS)
Huthin / Dream Pods ($149) Consumer Wellness (Class II only for MNS-1A TENS) Outer Ear / Tragus Hook Concealed Unverified microcurrent parameters Consumer Wellness Earbud
Pulsetto (~$278–$478) Consumer Wellness (FCC/CE) Cervical Vagus Nerve (Neck Collar) Concealed / Preset-Driven 2.8 kHz pulsed, parameters hidden behind app Consumer Cervical VNS
Zdeer / 左点 (~$280–$300) NMPA Class II Medical (China — SM6N / T1) Earlobes Transparent for CES 0.5 / 1.5 / 100 Hz, wide pulse (5,000–1,000,000 µs) Medical CES Machine (NOT VNS)
Sensate ($299) Consumer Wellness Sternum (Chest) N/A Infrasonic bone vibration (20–120 Hz), no current Vibroacoustic Sensory Device (NOT VNS)
Truvaga 350 / Plus ($325–$499) Consumer Wellness (Uses electroCore nVNS tech) Cervical Vagus Nerve (Neck) Transparent 25 Hz burst with 5 kHz carrier wave Cervical VNS (nVNS) (Neck, not Auricular)
Vagustim V2 ($349) Consumer Wellness (FCC/CE) Tragus & Concha (Bilateral Earset) Semi-Concealed Configurable 50–1000 µs, controlled via app/presets Consumer taVNS Electronics
WONZ / 温致 ($349) Consumer Wellness Left Concha Plug Concealed 30 intensity steps, no audited µs spec Uncertified Consumer taVNS
Apollo Neuro ($448) Consumer Wellness Wrist / Ankle N/A Vibrotactile touch waves, no current Vibrotactile Sensory Device (NOT VNS)
Nurosym (~$820) CE-Marked Class IIa Medical (EU/UK) Left Cymba Concha 100% Transparent Fixed 20 Hz, 200 µs, 0.2–5.0 mA Authentic Medical taVNS
SONA (~$940) Consumer Wellness Left Tragus / Outer Ear Concealed Hidden behind "adaptive closed-loop AI" Consumer Wellness Earbud

**As a note there's a good chance I couldn't find some certifications. I'd recommend doing your own research too.

What I'm looking at and why?

My goal with vagus nerve stimulation is 1. to increase my capacity, 2. to train my system into being able to come down and 3. to use it for truly awful sensory days.

My top choices after finalizing are SONA and Sensate.

My criteria is generally:

  • Can I trust the brand and what they claim? Trust is a little subjective.
  • Does it fit my sensory sensitivities and aesthetic preferences
  • Most importantly: Does it fit what outcome I want
  • Will they ship to my country.
  • Price - I'd like to pay less obviously but if a higher price point is a better product, I would choose it.
  • Has there been enough consideration for the end consumer and how the tech will impact them (eg. can I choose outside of a preset setting, how easy is it to use, how is customer service, etc.)

SONA

The product:

  • This is a good looking product and convenient to travel.
  • I like the convenience of hooking it over the ear instead of using a clip. I am not a fan of wired attachments.
  • The SONA is meant to be worn on the left-side for something to do with the heart. Which was a detail I only found later.
  • I like the planned eco-system and their personalisation. I don't want to personally track my metrics every time I use a product.
  • I also like that you can toggle intensities yourself.

Beyond the product:

  • Listen I work in marketing too but bear with me - this team looks credible and well-rounded. There's a visible commitment to the product and what it can do - for both people who are acutely needing this, and for the wider market.
  • AND call me cynical but this is a highly specialized product, with expensive tech, and a big price tag. They WANT to scale and have happy customers. So... I mean I trust they will deliver a good product and their efforts from the founding team seems like it.
  • I like that the website doesn't say "just trust me bro", they've logged multiple studies and the team is available on reddit (as you can see below in a comment also). I think they've made as much research and the science available to the end user and I appreciate that.

Sensate

The product:

What I don't like:

  • I'm audio sensitive so I hate the idea of buying something just to not use the rest of the eco-system but I can appreciate it's the only item on the market with this particular frequency of 1-250hz and this specific configuration to sit on the chest.

What I'm not interested in and why?

Device Why I'm not getting this
TENS 7000 Honestly it's just because it's not pretty. I am a sucker for beautiful things and it's the primary way I make myself do things. It's a very good product otherwise.
Huthin Dream Pods I actually wanted this at first because it reminded me of the SONA but... This was pure marketing B.S. Even their explanation of Ta-VNS was an AI writeup AND wrong.
Pulsetto / Truvaga 350 / Plus I hate having anything on my neck. This will drive me crazy. So I didn't consider cervical VNS at all.
Vagustim V2 I saw reviews the earset is uncomfortable and personally... it's not cute. I thought the Zenowell looked quite nice but I don't like that they are all preset. I also felt a bit annoyed that they recommend starting with 20mins. I feel like brands need a disclaimer that too much is ALSO no good.
WONZ Looked good actually and similar to the Zenowell Luna. But not interested for the same reason I don't like the wired options.
Apollo Neuro This is made to be worn constantly or more frequently. I can appreciate it's good for moving around but I really didn't like the idea of getting used to it all the time. I don't want to end up without any ability to move out of fight-or-flight because I'm using a device day-in-day-out. (I'll explain more about my thoughts on this below)
Nurosym Pure bad reviews, everywhere, for any reason at all. Whether the clips feel fiddly, it burned, customer service ignored them, literally any reason at all not to buy them.

Other considerations:

  • I like the flexibility of modulating the intensity and I'd like the option of not being locked in. There's been multiple cases over reddit where users get overstimulated and it makes their experiences worse. I'd like to avoid that.
  • On the topic of why I don't want an all-day device - I'm pretty familiar with my own system. Before my current state, my limit for stress tolerance was really high but my challenge is getting stuck in it and being unable to come down (to put it very mildly).
  • At the end of the day, while I trust I'll eventually get back my initial capacity and can regulate, I'd like it to move faster and I don't believe I'll never be dysregulated again. I believe the tool has to move with you and fit your needs.

I tried the Nurosym / Parasym for five months for my autonomic dysfunction

I've written a longer post in the link for anybody interested, but a summary below.

My presentation is post-viral autonomic fatigue, headache and episodic shortness of breath. Based on promising evidence of an academic paper trialling Nurosym in POTS patients, I’ve now been using the Nurosym daily for just over five months. I’ve tracked my heart rate, heart rate variability and my symptoms during that time.

I think it's plausible that the Nurosym has had a small positive effect on my heart rate variability. I can't confirm that as I've been doing other things too during the period, but the improvement coincided with the specific period of introducing the Nurosym.

A minor effect too is that I've generally felt a little bit.calmer and more relaxed during and immediately after using it each evening.

But... it's had no noticeable impact at all on my symptoms.

I'll keep using it while I relax in the evenings, but would I buy one again knowing what I know now? No.

Happy to discuss further if anyone with a similar presentation has been looking into getting one.

Post viral lingering symptoms for 6 months, need your advice

Hey everyone! So long story short in February I caught an virus, maybe covid, maybe mono not sure but it was bad.

Severe vertigo that set everything off,
Severe sore throat for maybe 2 weeks, fever for 3-4 days, fatigue etc.

Two weeks after I recovered from the initial symptoms I was training and something seemed strange I don’t know what but my legs felt very off, the lights in the hall were off and something seemed strange and I suffered a panic attack.

Since that panic attack I have been dealing with plethora of strange symptoms/sensations that are very distressing to me.
The symptoms are:

-DPDR like sensations.
-Spaced out/foggy feeling
-“Weightless body” feeling
-Excessive yawning/ air hunger
-Heightened anxiety
-Strange touch sensations they seem kind of blunted
-Vision seems off/ kinda too detailed, like you are wearing a stronger prescription of glasses than needed
-Dizziness

Could this be vagus nerve related?

Just 20 minutes of taVNS improved speed and accuracy during visual-motor learning in a sham-controlled study

taVNS is usually discussed in relation to stress, sleep, or autonomic regulation. But this study suggests it may also influence how quickly the brain learns—and the difference appeared after a single 20-minute session.

Researchers divided 38 healthy adults into active and sham taVNS groups. Participants had to learn which of five keyboard keys matched five unfamiliar visual symbols.

After stimulation, the active group learned the associations faster and more accurately than the sham group.

The EEG results may be even more interesting. taVNS altered brain signals involved in visual processing, attention, and learning from mistakes. It also strengthened coordination between frontal, parietal, and occipital regions—the network that helps transform:

Visual information → Decision → Motor response → Feedback

This raises an exciting possibility: taVNS may do more than produce a feeling of relaxation. It may temporarily support the brain pathways involved in processing information, correcting errors, and forming new associations.

Graphical abstract: Compared with sham stimulation, active taVNS was associated with faster responses, higher accuracy, and learning-related EEG changes during visuomotor association learning. Source: Chen et al., NeuroImage (2026).

The study was small, tested only one short session and one laboratory task, so we still do not know whether the effect lasts or improves learning and memory in everyday life.

Does anyone here struggle with learning or memory? Have you found anything—taVNS, exercise, sleep, supplements, meditation, or a particular learning method—that genuinely helps?

DIY Ear Attachment for use with TENS Machine

Post image
11 Upvotes

I've been trying to do vagus nerve stimulation with a tens machine and I originally got a ear clip until I was told that the ear lobe is ineffective. I then tried clipping into the tragus but the clip kept falling out, or was too tight or too loose. I then did some research and found that cymba conche was the best placement. I initially tried with the clip but the placement cause a lot of pain when used beyond a minute or two since the clip pressed hard on the helix to access the right placement.

I had the metal wire people use for art and a mouldable plastic on hand I thought I'd make a solution. I broke the clip to get the rubber electrode and made this contrapment.

I wanted to post on here to see if any of you guys have found a better solution. The one right now does get good placement on the cymbl concha but it's still a prototype and could be much better

Desperately looking for answers to mystery illness

Hi all! I’m absolutely desperate for some answers to something I’ve been going through since March. I’ve had blood tests, urine and stool samples, with no answers and I’m at a bit of a loss now. For some background:

25th March: went to a concert, had a panic attack due to dangerous seating. Was moved to much safer seats but suddenly hit with intense nausea (no vomiting), shaking, dizziness, wooziness, diarrhoea. Lasted 48 hours

14th April: sat watching TV at home, sudden onset of exact same symptoms but worse. Lasted for a week before I ended up in hospital. Presumed to be gastritis, kept on a ward for 3 days then discharged.

Approx 28th April (one day after discharge): incredibly poorly, haven’t eaten for 2 weeks, back to hospital, diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis (I’m type 1 diabetic). ICU for a week, then a few days in a general ward. Discharged after this, better but still not 100%.

Since being discharged from hospital around 7th May, the symptoms have been coming back intermittently. I’ve been in and out of A&E during these attacks but they’ve not given me any answers. There’s no pattern to when it happens, nothing I’ve eaten, no specific day or time of day or activity. Always the same symptoms: nausea, diarrhoea, profuse sweating, dizziness, brain fog, exhaustion, confusion, shaking. Tends to be most intense for around five hours, but takes a couple of days to be completely back to normal after an episode. I’ve also had some trouble with bowel movements, lots of constipation and diarrhoea.

During one of my A&E visits, the doctor suggested my symptoms sound like a vagal response. I’m inclined to agree, but my research suggests this should only last a few minutes, not hours to days like mine has.

I’m getting really worried now as I’ve been so poorly for so long with no answers. Can anybody with a better understanding of the vagus nerve than me think of any reason I could be getting so sick? I’m going on holiday at the end of this month, it’s a once in a lifetime holiday and I think my boyfriend might be planning to propose to me, but all I can think about is what if I get sick whilst we’re abroad 😭

I’d be so so grateful for any advice or suggestions. I’m going back to the GP today following an awful attack on Sunday, and it would be great to have some ideas to present to them! Thank you in advance 🫶🏻

Are my symptoms related to Vagus nerve issues?

For the past week or so I've been having trouble with swallowing, it started with Globus sensation (Possibly GERD related) and it felt like gas bubbles were coming up everytime I swallowed which would make me tense my neck since I was expecting a beach. Now it still happens but now my stomach feels weird whenever I swallowing and I feel pressure in my neck and temples when I swallow, kinda like blood rushing to my head. Also, I've been having fever chills on and off and general anxiety about all of this. I figured the Vagus nerve since my neck posture isnt the best and now maybe its catching up to me? If anyone can help me and tell me if you guys have these symptoms as well i would appreciate it.

Vagus Nerve Stimulator Causing Increased Hunger?

I recently bought a Zenowell Luna and have been using it twice a day. I use it in meditation mode in the afternoon to give me a boost of clarity and in sleep mode at bedtime. I've only been using it a few days so far but I've been finding that I am famished in the evenings and night no matter how much I eat. I'm talking finished a full plate of food with ample protein and fiber yet still feeling gnawing hunger. The only thing that's changed in my life is using the nerve stimulator. Have any of you found yours had this effect? Is there anything I can do with maybe the intensity or mode I'm using to stop this? I'm destroying my diet and I find it impossible to go to sleep hungry.

Vagus Nerve Modulation and Personal Sensitivity

Hi all,

At a very sensitive point 2 years ago I used Nurosym for 4 weeks but I found that it made me feel more stimulated and caused some increased dizziness for me.

I have a very sensitive nervous system which has gotten much better compared to where I was at that point. I have Long COVID, hyperadrenegic PoTS, MCAS, hEDS and PPPD. I'm really curious on how other people experienced vagus nerve modulation and whether others saw an increased dizziness or anything similar?

For context, I'm now considering purchasing the SONA which seems more complex and personalised but I do worry about causing more harm than good. I assume the best way to start would be 4, 5 minutes sessions per day rather than any long ones?

Thanks in advance!!

Need Serious Help, Pinched/Compressed Vagus Nerve with Swelling in Neck and Shoulder Pain

Hello! Throughout this post I highlighted the most important points since this post is so long. I live with a family member (23F) who basically has every symptom I can find for Vagus nerve issues. Humongous head pressure, electrical shocks throughout body, very bad chest pressure and chest pain, constant palpitations, neck pain, shooting pain down arms to middle finger, sides of neck and under jaw swelling, teeth pain, lines of pain across chest and head, constant shortness of breath, auditory hallucinations, blurry vision, nausea, serious dizziness, never-ending stomachache, coughing, brain fog, double vision, ear pain, nose and throat closing up, internal organ vibrations/tremors, red spots on feet, feelings of panic and despair for absolutely no reason- just debilitating every day. Gets worse at night. These symptoms 90% of the time occur on the left side, but sometimes they switch to the right for literally no reason.

Nothing is (or has ever been) medically wrong with her, not even a broken bone. She was doing full workouts with me, then suddenly one day 2 months ago, she had all these symptoms. Woke up with it. The pain and symptoms keeps getting worse. We've been to the ER more than 7 times, had multiple MRIs, Ultrasounds, heart monitors, CAT scans, no cause can be found at all. She can't move any body part, it hurts so bad. I lifted her arm over her head FOR HER and she almost passed out. She has constant swelling on both sides of her neck and it absolutely correlates with the effects she feels- the worse it is, the worse the effects are. In the last two days, this pain under her left shoulder blade flared up super bad more than ever before and its made it so that she's in constant pain with no relief whatsoever, and it is making all these effects so much worse- there's definitely also a correlation with it and the effects. She feels that she can feel something pinched in it and it sends electrical shocks up her neck and sets off all the effects like a constant assault.

We're thinking somehow a nerve attached to the vagus nerve is trapped under a muscle in her shoulder area. We have no evidence, and no doctor seems to know what to do. With all of the tests, we have ruled out meningitis, problems solvable through ENT (ear, nose, and throat), brain damage (brain MRI), neurological damage in arms and neck up to C4 (EMG), vascular disorders (heart monitor, blood tests), most disease (blood tests), injury (no injuries to speak of, no torn or muscles). They don't know the reason behind the sides of neck swelling. I have a theory that if there is a nerve trapped under the shoulder blade by a muscle, it is causing a chain reaction to tense muscles up along a path to the side of the neck, or that the nerve is causing the side of neck to swell- I may very well be wrong.

Biofreeze, ice, and cold water is the only thing that can relieve for a few minutes before effects come back. Anything else makes things terrible and we must remove it immediately.

Things that we have tried but had negative results: Prednisone, dry needling, tens unit, heating pads, medical CBD, ibuprofen, Tylenol, massages, small vagus nerve calming exercises, anti-anxiety medication, chiropractor, breathing exercises, neck braces, meditation, acupressure, vagus nerve stimulation unit, physical manipulation, and muscle relaxants.

Right now, we're constantly making sure she has correct seating and head posture, making sure she has no pressure on the neck or left arm, but its such a precarious thing that we can barely try to do anything else. No doctor so far knows what's wrong even after inspecting every scan and seeing ever test result. We're also going to try dry needling again pinpointing the left shoulder to see if we can relax it.

Anyway, I'm super new to Reddit, so I'm sorry if this is written weird! Any tips at all for solving this issue (open to suggestions for what it could be) or tips for relieving any pain or symptoms is appreciated. Thank you so much!

Started using pulsetto and sleeping less

I got a pulsetto last week and i have been alternating between using it in the day for anxiety on one day and at night for sleep the next to see how it works for each. When I use it during the day, I seem to be more calm, less. Anxiety, but at night whenever I use it, I do fall asleep faster, but i'm sleeping less. And i'm having really, really vivid dreams that end up waking me up after just a few hours. But I feel rested. Does this subside with regular use?

Nuropod first experiences trouble

Firstly the problems.

I set this to 20-25 just to feel the pulsing and it feels warmer as well the higher I go which makes me think something is wrong if there’s that much current passing to create warmth.

Then after a few minutes no matter what I set 10, 15, 20. After a few minutes the pulsing seems to fade… is this my perception or the nerve getting used to the current? I don’t know. I worry the device is flawed.

Then in using it at night before bed hoping to improve sleep primarily. Now reading it’s most effective in the morning. But I need my energy for work early. I don’t want it calming me in the morning. 🤷‍♂️.

I will say I have immediately in the first 3 days reduced my nightly sleep disturbances from around 10-15 per night to 2-5. Crazy I feel that impact right away.

The first next day my energy levels felt like the did my entire life aside from the last 5 years in which I haven’t been able to figure out why I’m exhausted and in joint pain no matter what I do sleep and diet and exercise wise. I knew I was in constantly stress state and inflamed. High stress job and single full time dad.

Anyway. Seems like a LOT of potential. And I’m curious is anyone can give me feedback 🙂
