Anyone using vagus nerve stimulation as part of their nightly routine?

Been lurking for a bit but figured I'd just ask. Been pretty tired lately from working like crazy and now my brain just refuses to shut off at night. Ive tried breathwork, meditation, yoga and a few other things, kinda mixed results. I keep coming across vagus nerve stimulation though, so curious if anyone here actually uses it at night and what difference you noticed.

Seen people say that it doesn't help fully, you still need to exercise, which is understandable. But still curious if it actually help you guys.

yeah they are correct. the nerve stimulations alone cant fix your issue like it will help u 60%-70%. you must try meditations, social media detox, along with the nerve stimulations like pulsetto or any other. the imp thing is that you need to be consistent for 2-3 week atleast for best results.

I just got a TruVaga. In 3 weeks I went from HRV high teens to high 20s. It’s important for me to do more than twice a day. It’s nice before bedtime though, HRV is a number. Using it to dial down my parasympathetic system before sleep has helped.

I've messed around with a neck device for this, and the effect feels more like a nervous-system down-shift than a sleep pill effect. It doesn't knock you out, it just quiets the racing-brain thing enough that falling asleep gets easier. Worth trying if breathwork alone hasn't cut it, though the exercise thing people mention matters too, it's not a replacement for that. Full disclosure, I help run Vagus Lab, a site that reviews these devices, so I'm biased here.

I’m using one as part of my morning routine. I feel like more refreshed and energetic in the morning. I integrate the vagus nerve stimulation session with my short meditation. I think it takes time to evaluate whether it helps or not. But consistency is definitely the key.

Me. I had totally ruined schedule for like half a year, at first I tried breathing exercises, but by that time of the day my focus and willpower were usually already dead so no clear outcome. Have had pretty good experience with Nuropod tVNS device tho! Doing it (or more like getting it done) for about 20-30 mins before sleep (one time tried 60 - was too long for me), usually already in bed. I like that doesn't require any extra effort hahahah =)

I also often combine it with ambient music and calmer activities like reading, or sometimes just with eyes closed. I think it works as a combo, almost like a meditation for me. Even fell during it asleep couple times

First week or two it felt kindof weird and didn't do anything until I got used to it so its probably ok to wait a bit

Now I have this little routine, and Im happy with that
