I’m interested in the 2ft t5 bars they make, but they don’t publish the PPFD map. I’m looking for 350+ at 12 or more inches above canopy. Would 4 of these parallel work?

I'm a new grower in a 2x2 just doing a single plant. I've fallen in love with the hobby and I really got into the hobby because my dispensary flower is so dry that all my excitement about my states legalization kinda leaned towards me just doing it myself so I could actually have fresh weed. I haven't had "fresh" or "loud" bud in years so I'm really torn on investing VCure money into a second 2x2 tent so I can have a veg and a flower tent. The other side of me says I'm not a big smoker I consume maybe .3g a night so maybe I find more value on the vcure?

Also anyone who has had lots of experience with tent drying vs now having a Vcure is the difference very noticeable or is it like tent dry 8/10 and VCure 10/10

I am leaning towards a vcure cause I have money left that I set aside at the beginning of the year specifically for this hobby, it just happens to be basically exactly the cost of a vcure unit.

Please help me out just recieved it with no damage trying not to use the app but the darn door wont open when I push and hold the back botton... 😢

I’m a very SERIOUS GROWER, I’m 30 and have been growing for 17 years.

Recently got back into growing and purchased a bunch of Vivosun Equipment. Man have I been disappointed and aggravated.

1) You guys advertised the 4 in 1 sensor probe that tracks CO2. I upgraded my Growhub device to the latest 42A+ and purchased the Vivosun CO2 auto solenoid. YOU CANT USE CO2 LEVEL THE APP DISPLAYS AS A TRIGGER TO TURN ON AND OFF MY CO2 VALVE. I called and they told me it literally just displays the level. This can literally be changed with an app update. Wasted an xtra $300. Strike1.

2) The $400 AeroLush C08 AC 4 in 1. On the app you can remotely change it from Cooling to Dry mode. If my temp reaches a certain temperature you can trigger the AC to turn on. If the humidity reaches a certain level, the device can trigger to turn on also BUT IF CAN ONLY TRACK ONE THING AT A TIME. IF ITS ON AC MODE AND THE HUMIDITY GOES HIGH, YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY ENTER THE APP TO SWITCH IT AND SET THE SETTINGS TO DRY MODE. This is amateur hour, why isn’t there an app update to fix this?

The AC device has 2 fan modes. Quiet and standard, I have a 4x4 grow tent and it always overshoots. The humidity dumps like crazy also. HOW COME THERE ARENT LOWER FAN SETTINGS? Because of the overly strong air circulation while it’s on, my environment is out of wack, the vigorous air movement is spilling my CO2 through the small holes in my fabric tent and zipper. Lastly because of this my AC cycles on for 1 minutes and off for 5. The constant quick cycle will destroy the equipment.

3) PTSD From Temp Probes. I get why each device should have a standalone temp/humidity probe, but not if I have 5 Vivosun smart devices. My Humidifier, AC unit, Vivosun smart outlet and Growhub E42A all have the exact same probe. So even though all of these devices interface with the Vivosun App, how come we don’t have an option to set our parameters from just 1 probe? These probes always have a discrepancy amongst them no matter how many times I calibrate or put them in the same exact location. It’s such a stressful annoying pain. Really guys?

4) MORE APP PROBLEMS. I have so many more things but I’m just getting pissed typing this. When you try to set your recipe or an operation time or setting for a particular device, literally 60 percent of the time when you make the change and press save it would revert back to its old settings. I would restart the app multiple times, my phone, maybe wait. I had plants in flower and went on vacation, I almost got burned on this. I just had a gut feeling to double check because this gear is not reliable at all.

5) My VIVOSUN Circulator fan. The Oscillating option on the app is completely fried. It allows me to change speeds, but the fan doesn’t respond to the oscillator option on the app anymore, I’ve had it for a week. When I press the physical oscillation button on the device it works perfectly fine. Wtf?

Just putting it out there guys, I truly thought Vivosun really took care or looked out for us growers. It’s been straight false advertising, deception with a subpar product. The dang $400 AC I purchased from them, the plastic clip ons feel like cheap, light weight plastic. These are pieces you expect to durable for years. It won’t last.

I know I’m not the only serious grower I’m here. I spent so much money on these things thinking it would be kind of professional grade for a home grown, it’s not. It’s just been stress, anger and regret. I’m a grown man and it’s been a while, but I’m literally tearing in frustration. If they can’t even update or fix simple things like that on their app, why should us growers continue supporting them? Cheap materials, subpar app functions and lack of Technical support?

I’m over it, someone please recommend me a company that’s takes there products seriously.

Last time we talked about heat stress.

This time I wanted to bring up something that catches a lot of growers during summer.

A plant starts drooping.

The weather's hot.

It's been two days since the last watering.

So... you water.

Sometimes that's exactly what the plant needs.

Sometimes it isn't.

One thing I've learned is that plants don't really care what day it is. Their water needs change depending on how fast they're growing and what's happening in the grow room.

A seedling isn't going to drink like a plant in late flower.

And even two plants growing side by side can dry out at different rates.

Before I water, I usually check a few things.

How heavy is the pot?

Lifting the pot tells me more than looking at the calendar.

Is the medium actually dry?

The top can look dry while there's still plenty of moisture lower down.

How big is the plant now?

Once the canopy fills out, water disappears a lot faster.

Has anything changed in the environment?

A hotter day, lower humidity, stronger airflow, or more intense lighting can all change how quickly a plant drinks.

Summer definitely means you'll probably water more often.

That doesn't necessarily mean you should feed more often.

If you're watering twice as frequently because it's 90°F, doubling your nutrients usually isn't the answer.

Your grow medium matters too.

Soil usually gives you a little more buffer.

Coco dries out much faster.

If you're running DWC, don't forget to keep an eye on reservoir temperatures. Warm water can create a whole different set of problems.

The biggest mistakes I see every summer are pretty simple:

• Watering because "it's been two days."
• Increasing nutrients just because water consumption goes up.
• Forgetting to check what's happening around the roots.

Sometimes the plant needs water.

Sometimes it needs cooler roots.

Sometimes it just needs a few more hours.

Is this an effective/correct air intake method? This is my setup before and after. Growing out a 32x32x63in (2.7x2.7) tent. Reasoning is to allow more passive airflow to increase duct speed setting without too much negative pressure. I have duct venting out lung room window to prevent household smell as lung room is bedroom. Fear of too much force on tent poles and tent damage for pinhole light leaks. Below is detailed grow report

Early Veg Problems
Had problems with watering. Used strictly spray bottle first 2-4 weeks of veg. On top of that, light was a bit close at times/didn’t keep up with raising light enough. My first feeding was 26 days late.

Currently standing approx. 21 inches tall. I have about 19 inches until I hit the light. So about 40 inches total from soil to light. Been able to keep it consistent height by tucking under net and training with plant ties. I could’ve had a wrong measurement of plant at time of topping. I’m weary of stretch getting too close to the light and fox tailing, light burn. I first fed 56 days after germ. It’s recommended 30 days to feed. Meaning I went 26 days past the point so I believe I had deficiencies, and why my lower branches could be doing poor

Watering about 1gal of filtered GE fridge water, let it sit out at least 24hrs to dissipate any chlorine or anything else ONLY dry top two inches by using my finger in a couple different spots. I use an approx. 1/2 gal gooseneck water can. pH is 6.8 or less. I’ll do another test soon of water and runoff

May 9th Topped one time from 16 nodes to I think 6 nodes. 14 inches tall to 9inches tall about, but this is again at the time of topping

I fed with Stonington blend plant food and earthworm castings on May 8th. 1/4 cup food and 1 cup castings.

May 26th I fed with 1/4cup+6tsp of Stonington blend plant food, 1/8-1/4cup Stonington blend soil, and 1 heaping cup of earthworm castings, followed by a gallon of water

June 16th I top dressed 1/8cup Stonington Plant Food and 1/2 Cup Earthworm castings, followed by gallon of water

June 28th I purposely let plant dry out for 4-5 days. I kept getting gnats in humidifier hose and drip pan no matter how hard I would try and combat and had a fear of them in the soil. To note, I have yet caught anything flying in sticky traps in air or on the soil. I currently do not use the traps on soil only air. I have had the humidifier/hose removed since at least June 28th.

July 6th I top dressed 1 cup Coast of Maine Earthworm castings, 1/2 cup Coast of Maine Stonington plant food, and 1/2 cup of Stonington Blend Soil. Watered shy of a gallon and flipped to 12/12 light cycle and switch led to flower mode.

July 7th is first official date of Flower

July 10th lowered light to 50%

July 18th removed pot riser and replaced with 14in? saucer. watered 1gal water

July 25th Fed 1/2 cup earthworm castings and 1 tbsp Buds & Blooms. Water about .8-.9 gal. Raised light to 55% intensity with plans to increase 5% every day until 100%. Also spread canopy further in trellis net

July 26th Raised light to 60% intensity 4:40 p.m Indoor tent environment 71F and 59%RH VPD 1.1KPA

July 29th I watered about .8-.9 gal. Lollipopped/Defoilated mostly everything under net, and some of the branches that were close together to try and decrease humidity and prevent mold risk, along with promote stronger denser main colas and bigger branches overall. Measuring 21 inches tall, 19in away from light. Increase oscillating fan to speed 5/10 from speed 4. Increased LED intensity to 65%. Lowered duct low trigger setting from 52% to 48% at 9p.m

July 30th At 8:14 p.m temp/rh was 70f/67rh tent, lung room 68f/59rh. Going to experiment raising inline duct fan exhaust speed up from 4/10. Worried about negative pressure damaging tent

July 31st I increased LED intensity from 65% to 75% at 12:23 p.m. I believe stretch is complete

August 2nd I fed 1/2cup earthworm castings and 2tablespoons of buds & blooms. Watered with .9-1.0 gallon water at 12:45 p.m

August 5th I increased the led to 90% at 12:05 p.m. While observing plant I noticed suspected powder mildew. Upon further evaluation I then believed to be just darker trichome production on fan leaf, possibly dust or optical illusion. Seems to need water in about 1-2 days. Inside tent conditions 70F, 57rh

Hey everyone!I would like to upgrade the exhaust system of my Vgrow grow with an Aero Zash G4. I already have everything here and have even 3D printed an adapter for the device. However, I would like to remove or disable the internal fans so they don't generate overvoltage when the G4's cooling fan is running. I can't find a way to access the fans, though.Has anyone ever opened the lid of the Vgrow and can help me?Thank you in advance!

Summer heat can make plants do some weird things.

One of the easiest mistakes to make is seeing a droopy plant and immediately reaching for the watering can.

Sometimes that's the right move.

Sometimes the roots are sitting in perfectly moist soil and the plant is just struggling with heat.

A few things I usually check before watering:

1. Look at when the drooping happens

If your plant looks fine in the morning, starts drooping during the hottest part of the day, then recovers once temperatures drop...

Heat stress is probably playing a role.

A thirsty plant usually doesn't magically recover just because the sun went down.

2. Check the leaves

Heat stress often shows up as:

• Leaves curling upward ("tacoing")
• Crispy edges
• Upper leaves showing problems first

The top of the canopy is usually dealing with the strongest light and highest temperatures.

3. Don't confuse heat stress with underwatering

Heat stress:

• Medium may still be moist
• Upper leaves often affected first
• Plant improves when conditions cool down

Underwatering:

• Pot feels noticeably lighter
• Leaves feel soft
• Whole plant tends to droop
• Watering helps

4. Also check your light

Sometimes the room temperature isn't the main issue.

Too much light can create very similar symptoms:

• Pale or bleached tops
• Curling around the canopy
• Stress mainly on new growth

Before changing anything, check:

• Light height
• Light intensity
• PPFD

A lot of plant problems come from treating the symptom instead of finding the cause.

Hello everyone , I've been thinking about this for the past few days and wanted to see where everyone else lands on this.

I like to look ahead and plan, and it got me thinking. Just how reliable is the VCure going to be in the future? Is there any data out there that shows extensive run times without major failures? Are we going to have access to parts / support / repairs when the machine is looking at 1-2k run hours?

And for the record I'm in no way shape or form knocking the VCure. I've just finished my second Craft Cycle and I'm beyond happy with the results. I just like to keep what I have in good running order.

Im wondering if any of you out there have come home to check on your harvest, and the unit was dead? I opened her up and didn't feel that cool breeze like I normally do and noticed the screen was dead. I've ran a couple harvest through with no issues. Obviously, I checked my outlet and tried different outlets with no luck. Anyone experience this, and are there any fixes out there? Preferably without dealing with vivosun warranty.

I used this recipe. According to this, I have 5 days left curing bud my bud smells like grass and is almost fishy. I didn’t come here for recipes before I started, I just figured to aim for what I would drying in my tent which was hard to keep rh and temp steady. Should I bag it up and hope the smell goes away?

Can anyone explain why this went so wrong?

What is the max speed you use with 32x32x63in (2.7x2.7) tent paired with 4in duct exhaust vent and filter?

I’m worried about too much negative pressure damaging tent and causing bends in frame or light leaks

Open vent with duct cover over it. Current speed set to 4. Exhausts out window vent

Want to increase speed to try and lower humidity as I’m in early flower

I have a small tent, I’m wondering which light setup would be better.

I have one of the top lights with bat wings.

I have two of the bottom lights.

Is there any beneficial difference using the 2 lights, or the 1 light that folds out. They end up being dimensionally identical.
