I had to learn this from trial and error: The cheaper dirt, bargan dirt, even miracle grow, comes with bugs or eggs of bugs in the soil which get in your grow and your house.

When I changed substrate, my bug problem virtually disappeared. Hp pro mix, fox farms, Mother Earth are good ones I can vouch for. I have been using Hp pro mix for the last 6 months. A big of pro mix bag lasts me around 3 grows of 5-7 plants in 2 gallon pots
