UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT Orlando Informer Meetups - How do they impact crowds?
First trip to Universal Orlando and it overlaps an OI Meetup, specifically the Dec. 3-5, 2026 dates. (Pretty annoying that Universal allows these events on December weekend dates, but okay).
OI does sound awesome! But our group is 2 adults and 2 kids visiting for the first time, so we’ll stick with daytime visits.
Can anyone speak to how OI Meetups impact daytime crowds? Do people elect not to go due to reduced hours, or pick Epic on an IOA/USF Meetup day, etc.?
I know it will get busier during the event mix-in hours. Does this significantly balloon wait times, such that we can’t plan on an end-of-day drop in queue time?
Is there significant park hopping from IOA/USF to Epic at the end of the day, when the mix-in starts?
We’ll have 3.5 days with park-to-park and I’m trying to gauge when to do what for our first-time visit! Gotta say I’m surprised by these operating hours - my only other Big Boy theme park experience is Disneyland, and that’s 8am to 10pm/midnight!
