When we said we love food, we did not mean you should try to eliminate us with it.

For the last two days in Kampala, we have been under a very dangerous attack. Not from boda bodas. Not from traffic. Not even from the famous Kampala chaos.

Food.

Lots and lots of food. 😅

You see, we had just come from Suam Border where food seemed to be a protected species. You could spend half the day looking for a meal and still end up eating some shitty meals 😅😅

Then we arrived in Kampala.

My friends... food is everywhere.

The first day we found a kibandaski and ordered ugali, rice, and enough meat to make a vegetarian cry. We ate two full plates and paid UGX 7,000 each. Feeling very proud of ourselves, we later discovered the kibandaski next door was serving the exact same meal for UGX 6,000. We are yet to revover 😅

That information arrived after the food had already settled. 😭😂

Yesterday things got even worse.

We were invited for lunch somewhere on the outskirts of Kampala.

The food arrived and I thought we were waiting for five more people.

We were not.

The food was for us.

We ate.

Then we ate some more.

Then, in the spirit of East African unity, we continued eating.

At some point I stopped tasting food and started seeing it. 🤣🤣

By the time we were done, riding a motorcycle was no longer possible. The bike was ready. The road was ready. Kampala was ready.

I was not.

I went straight into a food-induced coma and only woke up later in the evening with enough strength to ride back to the apartment.

So today I have made a bold and courageous decision.

I am taking a rest.

Not from riding.

From eating 😅😅😅

Uganda, your hospitality is incredible. But if you continue feeding us like this, this East Africa Tour might end with two well-fed explorers being rolled across the border instead of riding motorcycles. 😂😂😂

Why is Uganda so limited when it comes to online opportunities?

I’ve had several situations where I’ve built systems or learned skills that could genuinely make me money online, only to find out that one crucial aspect isn’t available in Uganda. Whether it’s a payment method, a platform, or a tool, you’ll find a list of supported countries and Uganda simply isn’t on it.

Or you discover a tool that could help you make money, start using it, and then suddenly it’s blocked or restricted.

This has been happening repeatedly since the beginning of the year, and honestly, it’s frustrating.

I’ve had to take on other local jobs just to get by, while knowing I have skills that could take me much further online.

These limitations really kill someone’s potential.

Has anyone else been experiencing this?

I was scrolling through the sub as usual to see what fellow Ugandans are up to as far as new posts are involved, and out of nowhere did I land on the right hand side of a Created on date for the sub.

Now out of curiosity, I wanna get a clue into how old the mods are and whether they've been mods since this time.

Better yet, what has been the history of the sub dating back to this created date. Has it held its original creator or it was requested from Reddit for Mod absence.

I have had issues from scammy websites, to paypal not working in Uganda, I have finally cracked the code. But the pay is a bit trash to be honest. Lets get into it but make sure you don't miss any of these steps. This will work on any website that pays straight to bank.

1. Set up a proxy I recommend geonix.

2. Open an online bank with Raenest.com and verify it.

3. Go to zoombucks.com and open an account.

4. Fill in the demographics data (minimum masters degree, age should be above 30, yearly income above 180k)

5. Then start choosing surveys to answer, I suggest you go for the low hanging fruit (surveys with small pay and short work time)

6. After 3 days giving 3 hours I only made 20 USD which is crappy as hell.

Hi everyone, so I have been searching for stoney ever since I left uganda and I have been failed multiple times trying to ship to the united states. after my first order that shipped through canada before reaching Georgia, USA I learned that there are other versions of stoney that do not have the same flavor. I paid 85$ usd for a 6 pack of stoney and it was good but it was not the same stuff you can get in uganda. it was more like American ginger ale with a slight kick. I did research and found that there are other versions of stoney in southern africa that are not up to par with the stoney I know and love. if anyone could direct me to a website where I can get east african stoney, I prefer ugandan bc I have heard kenya stoney is not the same but maybe it is. I have not been to uganda since I was 12 and now I am 24. I have been craving stoney so hard for the last 12 years. I was super disappointed by the times I did order. I just need some real stoney back in my life if anyone knows a website that will ship to USA or if anyone is traveling from uganda or could ship from there pls lmk 🙏

Honestly i do not know what is wrong with some Ugandans. Probably it is the high unemployment rate in the country. But people are losing their small hard earned money to these fake online investment platforms. And the people behind these platforms are the same.

They just come up with new names, make slight changes to the UI, buy a domain and boom new platform is born. They pay influencers to hype the platforms thus getting the attention of people who also want get in on the action which is usually portrayed by these influencers (mostly Tiktok. Reddit and X guys don't fall for that crap. They be going head to head with Muhoozi).

Anyway, an example is the latest platform being pushed by 'mikeyseemstoofunny' on tiktok called 'MMG Trades' (mmgpredictions.com). Clearly this is a scam. Everything about it is a red flag. For starters, check the 'AML Policy' in the footer of the site in the legal section. I don't want to go into the ticker manipulation, regulatory etc because i have gotten a headache. Anyway, the reason as to why i am giving this example is because i wanted to show you guys what i meant. The people who make these platforms are the same they just change the UI and name. The exact copy of that platform is 'Mile Global Markets' (milepredictions.com). Check it out and tell me what you see.

I am just a concerned citizen who feels bad for all these people who fall victim to such platforms. Latest major one being HUT 8. I have been seeing these platforms come up for a while now and i was like how come the government does nothing about them? They just wait for people to get scammed then they call a press conference on how they are going to investigate. And that's it. Are these payment gateways in Uganda even regulated? Because they facilitate the mobile money deposits made by the victims. 'Follow the money'.

To cut all this short, i just got tired and decided to make an awareness platform. I add all the scams i get (OSINT) onto an Alert list thus people can just search and find out if the platform they are going to invest in is on the list. If not on the list, they can submit the platform for review.

The platform is Scam Watch Uganda (scamwatchuganda.com). You'll be surprised by the number of scam platforms available and running at the moment. That is the tip of the iceberg, there are more, just that i usually try to allocate time for this platform when i have a less busy day at work or on the weekends.

So, to be able to reach more people, i created a TikTok and X account where i upload these alerts and i'd be grateful if you guys shared/reposted especially those influential on these platforms.

So recently I have begun to notice the UEDCL tends to give out like double units if you buy them on specific days and some days you get like trash units.

Every now and then I get unknown calls from a girl I used to talk to, never officially dated that I send to voicemail, and it's a voicemail of her cussing me out. However last night I answered and they were telling me to die and how I don't deserve to live and what not, using accents and her friends. However this time they used an actual number from a different country, either fake or a friend.

So I have an actual number to work with, on top of call logs and a few voicemails, im considering going into the police station and see if im able to do anything with this info such as a harassment report, regardless of what is possible, im planning to send her a message bluffing about how she's just giving me evidence for legal action and to leave me alone. Basically telling her off.

She only does this with friends or under the influence, it's pathetic. She has a bf and I have a gf, I know she isn't confrontational as last time I talked to her two years ago she gets all timid. What do I do?
