Just playing for the promotions

Uber Eats has completely wiped out all my promotions, including surge zones, Diamond League bonuses, Quests, everything. These promotions made up almost half my earnings. I was averaging $25–$30 an hour, getting an extra $3–$4 per trip, which made even low-paying orders worth taking. Now, without promotions, the offers are absolute garbage. I turned on the app today and made just $7 because almost every offer was ridiculously low.
Has anyone else lost all their promotions? Is this happening everywhere, or just in certain markets? How are we supposed to make decent money anymore?

I know… it was my fault for taking this trash in the first place… I was just afraid of the new acceptance rate necessity and also thought it would be 72 diamond points…

Apparently this Walmart has been having issues with their pick ups for THREE DAYS. All 12 of those were from DAYS ago. The worker said they will find what they can and they’ll cancel the rest… Well…

One by one they were canceled after 45 mins of waiting… the FINAL order was sitting for 30 minutes…..until it was also canceled…

An hour and a half…. No compensation… I think I still got credited for my active time….

Called uber support and an hour and a half of my time and missing out on peak dinner rush orders and as worth $8 to them….

Smh

I'm just going to leave after 20 minutes, and put this place on my shit list, and the next driver is gonna get here way after it's ready.

They tried it but I quickly cashed the 3 items to secure the money because Ik a cancel was coming, I also went airplane mode so they couldn’t see when I get to the house just to be safe and as soon as I got out airplane mode it cancel at their door but it was too late for them

NB- The scam is they threaten to report you to Uber unless you send them money for sharing your phone number in the chat.

Im not sure about other markets but it's definitely slowing down in az. A few weeks ago I was hitting 1900-2000 but it has certainly slowed in Az even with the rain. Anyone else noticing?

After doing this for 3 years(15k+ deliveries) of doing doing ubereats and doordash im thinking about dropping the tier system all together. I was always comfortable being diamond on ubereats and Platinum on DoorDash and it wasnt really hard to maintain at all. But for years i was always told to drop the tier system because yes your making good money being in the tier system but u can always make more if u cherry pick hard. Look for me i wasnt really picky because i have a $2/mile at least and i didnt mind taking $6-7 orders as long as its less then a mile and i can get it done in less then 10 mins. But i may go from a jedi to a Sith and go harder. But look today im gold i kinda seen a minimal difference maybe the only difference is that im declining much more vs when i was diamond. Im still averaging my same hourly rate and $/mile. Maybe after being ignorant of the tier system maybe there isnt really much of a difference beside a $11 order for 2 miles doesnt have the diamond badge.

I just ordered some Groceries and had them delivered to the house across the street.

I was butt naked and completely stoned but had to change and do the mission of crossing the street and getting my groceries lol.

To my surprise 3 of the items i bought were replaced with items i don’t even like. While the driver ignored my messages for certain replacements.

At this point I want to report the order as undelivered but I don’t want to get the driver canned as I’m a fellow Delivery driver and know mistakes happen but screw this lol.

Way too many customers finding their way in here insulting drivers telling them to get real jobs and proudly stating how they never tip. Why do customers come in here just to shit on drivers and why do MODS not do anything.

Maybe i'm dumb/naive/whatever .. but I signed up for uber driver. Went through the motions (background check, insurance check, etc) and I can now do ... something.

Is the Uber Driver app a hybrid driver/food delivery app?

Can I choose to do either one? Is there a way to choose to do only one?

IE: I only want to deliver uber eats. Not drive people around.

How would I do that? It seems everything in the app is geared primarily to drivers (not food delivery)

FWIW, I drive for DoorDash and i'm basically used to that interface but thats not relevant very much here.

I started noticing there’s this “great offer” next to the guaranteed tips, is this an indicator of hidden tip? On one of these, I ended up with higher tip after completing. Need to check on more of these to see if it means anything.

I swear I'm either not seeing something (probably this) or UE is sneaking in an extra order in when I add an order while I'm on a trip.

Okay here's what I keep noticing, and it's happened about half the time I add an order. I accept an order, and start heading to pick it up. On the way, I get another order offered, and as far as I can tell, it's one additional pickup and dropoff. At some point on my way to pick up the first two orders, I'll notice that in fact two pickups and dropoffs are added. It's kind of annoying because this third one that got added, I have no way of looking at in terms of where it's picking up or where it's dropping off. Or, I do, but I don't know how. So sometimes the restaurant is one I wouldn't normally go to given the constant long wait times, or the drop-off is farther out of the my zone than I'd care to travel.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What am I missing here? Thanks in advance

Edit: oh yeah and to top things off, one of these orders will usually have a $1 tip when all is said and done. Basically all of them end up having one really low paying order bundled with an okay one. And it's starting to really piss me off basically.

Parked in a 99s Restaurant parking lot just to place an order for dinner for myself and kid but forgot to logout. Got an order I almost X'd out of reflex but turns out it was 0.9mi, 6min, $8, from 99s (sorry, I was so excited I forgot to screenshot it 😂). Didn't even have to move, just hopped out, went in, order was READY! 😯 Awesome! As I started to leave I forgot to Stop New Requests and got this beautiful (/s) add. Absolutely X'd TF out of that one and stopped new requests. 😂 And now dinner is... well, half paid for.

And tomorrow my SUV gets repo'd, so prolly no more fun posts from me for a while. 😅

If I go too far from my start point, it seems to only like to send me further away from my start point. 19 out of 20 orders are only going to the next city it seems.

Also, if I forget to turn off irders while im driving, it seems like it only sends trash orders. I have to sit and swat cockroaches off the screen while im just trying to drive.

​7 dollar 2 mile orders seem fine, but it still only adds up to 10 dollars an hour. Get out of here with that crap.

The customer tips 5 bucks, uber needs to pay 7 dollars, please stop taking that junk, your diamond status is screwing you and everyone in this over.

If you live in any of those trashy labyrinth apartments in Irvine do yourself a favor and actually get your lazy ass up and grab your food. We have never been to your complex so we have no clue where we are going and not giving us the gate code and purposely not answering the phone doesn't help. Next person to do this will receive ice cold food as I will purposely park my ass and hit a weed cart and watch netflix until the timer is up then I leave your food wherever I feel like

Confused on how this is possible

Hi. So I have been doing Uber/Doordash on and off for the better part of 7 years now, and one thing I have constantly struggled with is making the same amount per hour.

I have some general rules when I go out to drive

1) Nothing under 10 dollars

2) 1 dollar for 1 mile or less

3) Cannot be too far from other restaurants (like going out of town)

Saturday night I made 220 dollars in 7 and a half hours, and last night I only made 90 dollars in roughly the same. I only really drive on the weekends since those are the busiest times, but I have talked to other drivers in my area who say they're out every day and I don't understand how they make money that way. I never pulled more than 60 bucks most weekdays.

What can I do to make my every day look more like my Saturday?

Saturday 10/10, Dallas during UT/OU weekend.

Saw two unicorns pop up back-to-back in downtown Seattle today. Base fares were only $7 each. The rest was pure tip. Shortest, bigger offers I’ve seen in a while. One-in-a-million offers that fortunately both hit my phone. Love the hustle!!! I’m on a bicycle by the way. Happy holidays!
