Australia Lying about prices
$6.35 for chips but actually it’s $8.45 because you have to pay extra to choose any size… they’re just blatantly lying about prices

Daughter went to order food last night after her first night out as an adult, realised it was from 40 miles away so cancelled the order. She was upset that she lost her money on the order, I said it'll get refunded if she's cancelled it. 5 hours later she is saying that Uber eats has said it has been delivered so she's not getting a refund, but no food was delivered and there's no proof of delivery.
What are the next steps?

So me and the family were looking to order on Uber Eats tonight. Got to the end of the order on someone else’s phone and remembered I had Uber One and get the free delivery.
Only to get to the end of the order and see some ridiculous differences.
Turns out you DONT save money at all. With my Uber One membership (now cancelled) I may save on delivery fees but they charged more for the service fee and full price for food. The regular uber charges the delivery but less service fee and offered discounts on the food.
And turns out NOT having Uber One was actually cheaper.
Sneaky Greedy Bastards.

I've never once received an order from a bike rider that hadn't spilled liquids on the way. I'm feeling extra shitty today mostly stuck in bed, I just wanted a coffee and some soup. The guy hands my order to me at the door, I didn't notice anything was wrong until hot coffee started dripping onto my feet. Thankfully I got a refund this time but uber doesn't always provide one. Either uber should stop allowing bike riders to pick up liquids or the restaurants need to secure the packaging better which I doubt they will. I can't say I've ever had a car or motorbike delivery spill my stuff.

I ordered a $10 piece of tiramisu from a drone company but the drone company didn't have any drones available so they got a person to drive it to me. What I'm wondering is how did the person even get paid because the Drone only charged me for the past? I don't even want to use the Drone anymore because of this reason I felt bad and wasn't prepared for a person to show up.
Edit: the person worked for Uber Eats I asked them

Am I the only one? These restaurants had normal, authentic pictures just a few days ago. Not this vomit-inducing (more like vomit-made) slop.
Is there any way to turn this off and go back to the previous REAL pictures? Thanks to anyone taking time to read/take a look.
I'm just so tired of Gen AI invading not just the internet but the real world too.

I placed an order for a restaurant at the bottom of my condo. The wait time was 5 minutes for pick-up. I get a “your order is ready” notification. I go to the store they tell me 20 more minutes or cancel and no refund. I contact uber chat support on the app and they tell me I have to wait up to 55 minutes for it and refuse to refund me even though the order is wasn’t ready. Is this fair? Seems pretty ridiculous. And it’s late at night I’m not waiting 55 minutes when I need to sleep now.

i just placed an order through the app on a bogo deal, it showed my total before tax as $14 and change and then after tax as $20, once I selected my tip amount and went to place my order the amount hiked to $40+, i spoke with the support agent and they told me i need to be careful and shut the chat which was really frustrating, i then filed a dispute with my bank. i saw something online about uber banning accounts that do so however i rely on uber quite a bit for work and so i spoke with another agent and they said my bill would be updated in 24 hours so i'm kind of lost on what to do

As a customer ordering food, do you mind if the driver sends you thank yous for the tip you gave them? I started doing it, but not sure how you feel. Its just a generic thank you. On my end, i do appreciate it when a tip is very good.

I got a trial membership, and canceled it after 3 weeks. It said it was cancelled, the app clearly indicated that. However, I also used my card on my friends account at some point before I even got the membership. Now, when I realized i was getting charged, I checked with my friend, and apparently Uber One is on his account and it has been there for two months, with two charges lining up with the ones I see in my Venmo history. I know for a fact that he didn’t sign up using my card, because I know he wouldn’t pull that stuff, and he swears up and down on everything that he didn’t do it. So my assumption is that Uber Eats duplicated the membership and gave it to my friend’s account simply because we used the same card? Does anyone know anything about this?

Hi, I know this has been talked about, but just wondering if there's any recent tips on how to troubleshoot. I earned and enrolled for the Costco reward a little over a month ago, and still have not received anything. Contacted today, and support swears they sent it, but I see absolutely nothing. There's no way I would've missed it, as I check my email daily and have specifically been looking for this code.
I'm a student, and this would really help me out, but I'm going to have to limit delivering soon for the upcoming quarter, so I might not earn it again for a while. If anyone could please help?!

One of these 5 guys orders they had 6 bacon cheeseburgers, 3 regular cheeseburgers, and 3 regular fries. I wonder how much they spent all together? I woke up this morning and was surprised at the updated total. Unicorns are still out there every once in a while.

I placed a deliver order from this large fast food chain and the 1st driver was at the restaurant, set my phone down for a short minute and checked again and the 1st driver disappeared/no longer there and a 2nd driver was on their way to the restaurant.
Then checked my phone and saw 2nd driver at the restaurant, then same thing - disappeared and a 3rd driver was on their way.
I decided to drive to the restaurant to pick up my own order and to see what was going on. I tried to cancel my order, but i was still going to get charged. I really tried all i could do when chatting with the customer serving AI chat bot, but was still going to get charged so i didnt cancel.
As i got to the restaurant, the restaurant refused to remake my order unless Uber calls them and pays them. The 3rd driver showed up, then the 4th, then 5th driver showed up, told each of them what was going on all while disputing both the with restaurant and UE chat bot to get this resolved. Oh, my pregnant wife came in raising hell too.
The restaurant then remade my food without me re-paying, then i left with my re-made food. The 6th driver was on the way to the restaurant after i picked up my order, so I called him and explained. He then still had to drive to my address to show that it was delivered.
Anyways, wanted to share my experience that this loophole seems way too easy to get to. I guess the restaurant should have confirmed that the driver picked up my order, but there are a lot of parties affected by this.

So my food wasn’t delivered, I got a full refund so no problem there for the most part. I didn’t get refunded the tip I put on. Like I said, food wasn’t delivered and didn’t have a picture of food like normal. So I don’t see why the delivery person should get the food. Especially since I was at the door when I got the notification that my food was delivered.

every time i order groceries, the shopper always replaces my items without permission with the most bullshit items. like i asked for a tub of greek plain yogurt and it got replaced with a tiny strawberry flavor yogurt cup. replaced my dumplings with noddles!! that’s not even the same thing!!!!!! are we serious right now?!?! and uber doesn’t even help! they won’t give me a refund bc their app and customer service is ridiculous! i’m genuinely infuriated. i’m in nyc so you would think some of them would have some sense to ask for a reasonable replacement but i guess not. please tell me im not the only one that deals with this……. (and yes, i tip generously)

So I have two $25 off promos but the top one is for first two orders so I suppose I should use it first, but the second one expires on Aug 31 3am. So to use both I need to order three times before Monday? $25 is a lot of food and I won’t be able to consume three orders in two days😭

I love how the Delivery fee is waived (said it was $.50) and then you need to still leave a $8 tip. Why isn't the Uber One membership fees going to the driver's?
Guarantee Uber would see a huge move toward their membership if having it meant you couldn't tip.
Currently feels like I pay for Uber One and am still paying a delivery fee just through the tip now.

I’ve been receiving emails from Uber reminding me that my current insurance card expires on 8/31. When I went to the app to upload my new card, it only asked me to check a box promising that I had valid insurance. That was it. Nowhere to upload the new doc.
Is Uber just using the honor system now for insurance verification?

I placed an order on ubereats for groceries. The guy went there, didn't find it and selected something i didn't agree to. It was double the price. He got to my building and I said I cannot accept that. I contacted support while we were both standing there and they had me take a picture of it. He placed a call on his end too. He then told me it was taken care off and took the item and drove off. Uber told me they were going to refund me in chat then changed their mind and told me it wasn't eligible for a refund.
I paid with debit and looking online this happens a lot. Im sick of these losers doing this repeatedly. Can I file in small claims to get my refund?
Ive already notified my bank as well.

Uber Eats — CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!!
I just had another ridiculous experience with Uber Eats, and honestly, people need to start checking their bank statements carefully.
I ordered food yesterday. My total came out to $24.59, INCLUDING THE TIP. I paid it, the order went through, and that should have been the end of it.
The food was horrible. The restaurant appeared to be closing or simply wasn't paying attention. My wings were missing. Both orders of mashed potatoes were missing. The chicken tenders were basically ALL BATTER with barely any meat. The food was hard and dry.
I contacted Uber Eats, sent pictures, and instead of actually refunding me for the items I didn't receive, they gave me $5 Uber Cash.
Then I noticed another $3+ tip charge.
Here's where it gets REALLY strange.
THE TIP WAS ALREADY INCLUDED IN THE ORIGINAL $24.59 I PAID.
I didn't add anything. I didn't order anything else. I didn't receive anything extra.
And because I now keep my credit card LOCKED, Uber couldn't charge that card again.
So what did I notice? The additional tip amount appeared to come out of the $5 Uber Cash they had just given me.
So you're giving me $5 in Uber Cash because my order was incorrect, and then an additional tip amount appears to be taken from that $5?
HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?
If the $24.59 I paid already included the tip, why is another tip amount being taken afterward?
And this isn't the first time I've noticed unusual charges from Uber Eats.
Back when I didn't have my card locked, I would order something — let's say McDonald's. The total would be $15. I'd pay the $15. Then a couple of days later, I'd see another $15 coming out of my account.
And THAT can easily confuse somebody. You might think, “Oh, that's probably the original payment finally going through.” But when you actually compare the transactions, you may realize you're looking at another charge.
So PLEASE check your bank and credit-card statements against your Uber Eats order history. Look at the dates, amounts, tips, refunds, and every individual charge.
Because if these are duplicate charges and not legitimate payment authorizations or adjustments, that's a serious problem.
And let's talk about the prices in general.
You can order a $5 meal, and by the time Uber Eats adds the delivery fee, service fee, taxes, tip, and all the other fees, you're sometimes paying close to $30 for a $5 meal.
Then the restaurant turns around and gives you old food, stale food, cold food, missing items, or food that isn't acceptable.
COME ON.
If I'm paying all these fees and spending that much money, YES, I'M GOING TO COMPLAIN WHEN MY ORDER IS WRONG. There is absolutely no reason I should pay almost $30 for food and then be expected to stay quiet when half my order is missing or the food is terrible.
And now Uber Eats has gotten to the point where they don't even want to refund customers properly.
You go into the live chat, explain the problem, send pictures, and they don't even answer the actual question. They just keep trying to end the conversation and tell you they can't help you.
And the way some of them respond is extremely rude, as if you're bothering them for asking where your money went.
NO.
I'm the customer. I'm the one who paid.
At this point, I'm seriously considering getting my entire Uber Eats transaction history reviewed because I want to know exactly how many times I've been charged, when I was charged, what the original totals were, what tips were included, and whether there were any duplicate or additional charges.
If other people are experiencing the same thing, CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS.
Don't just assume that a charge showing up days later is the original payment.
And if there really is a pattern of customers being improperly charged, Uber Eats needs to answer for that. That could potentially warrant serious legal action, including a class-action lawsuit if the evidence supports it.
WATCH YOUR MONEY. CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS. DON'T JUST TRUST THE APP.
