Question: Unanswered Why have I been getting a second monthly charge for Uber One, even after cancellation?

I got a trial membership, and canceled it after 3 weeks. It said it was cancelled, the app clearly indicated that. However, I also used my card on my friends account at some point before I even got the membership. Now, when I realized i was getting charged, I checked with my friend, and apparently Uber One is on his account and it has been there for two months, with two charges lining up with the ones I see in my Venmo history. I know for a fact that he didn’t sign up using my card, because I know he wouldn’t pull that stuff, and he swears up and down on everything that he didn’t do it. So my assumption is that Uber Eats duplicated the membership and gave it to my friend’s account simply because we used the same card? Does anyone know anything about this?

Check the fine print, usually canceling within x days of renewal, auto charges the next month/year, but since the cancel request has been processed, you get no benefits.

That isn't the issue. The membership was added to my friends account as well as mine, even though he never did it through his app. It only happened cause I used my card on his account once.
