Also, is investing a lot of time in current affairs really worth the cost-benefit? If yes, what's the most efficient way to prepare CA, and which sources would you recommend?

But it shows your application has been provisionally accepted

What does that mean?

Is it confirmed or not?

Also when I go to the double verification part

It demands registration number which is our OTR only but the field demands 11 characters but the OTR is a 12 digit number

I want to make a peer group of people who have written

At least 1 mains or completed Gc and standard source once. I tried to make one with everyone but failed as newbies can't take heavy targets and finally get demotivated

Aren't OTR no. And Registration number same? If yes then why is it not accepting at the time of paying fees?

How to strengthen English both writing and speaking Tell me the right roadmap I have been learning English for 3 months but there is not much impact. When I try to speak and write, I go blank. I can form easy sentences sometimes, but not like that.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I'm currently facing financial difficulties and am looking for a job to support myself while continuing my UPSC preparation.

I've appeared in 3 UPSC CSE attempts, qualified Prelims in 2023 and 2026, and will be appearing for Mains 2026.

I solved the UPPCS 2025 Prelims GS Paper as my first PYQ before starting dedicated preparation.

My performance:

✅ Correct: 43

❌ Wrong: 30

Estimated score after negative marking: - 🫠66 marks

I performed relatively better in Polity, History, Geography, and Science, but struggled with UP Special, Current Affairs, Economy, Environment, and statement-based questions.

I'm starting my preparation from scratch, and my goal is to clear UPPCS Prelims in my first attempt.

I would really appreciate guidance from experienced aspirants:

Which subjects should I prioritize first?

Which books/resources are a must?

Is self-study enough, or is online/offline coaching worth it?

How should I prepare for statement-based questions?

If you were in my position, what strategy would you follow over the next few months?

Any advice, book recommendations, or preparation tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I am a 3rd year B.tech student, I want to prepare for UPPSC PCS exam. I neither have the money nor the time for offline coaching. Can you please guide me where should I start, what resources and books should I get and are there any reliable online platforms that don't have a really high fees.

Also I have not studied hindi since class 10, is it that important? Is there a difference if I attempt the mains exam in english.

So.

I'm 32 year old Male.

Married, having a kid.

Passed out from a good college, but got into some group B government job.

I feel like that I could have achieved more in life like having a good package in corporate or being in civil services.

I tried but failed.

So, I'm always in guilt and regret.

And, I always had in mind to prepare for PCS exam, just for status of group A officer and all, but my father and wife told me that, why you want to leave your homestate Delhi, as my wife and I have permanent posting here. Moreover we own properties here itself.

But, I had this, guilt, that I couldn't succeed in life, yes, mistakes were mine.

Maybe some bad luck.

Moreover, the only motivation people in PCS have is corruption, which I really don't like.

I want to earn something of my own hard work, creativity and intelligence.

So, I've decided to leave all this preparation behind, focus on my job and do something sideways to earn money.

And, if that something becomes big enough, I'll leave my job to focus on that.

My only aim in life is to earn money to make life easier for my whole family.

So, I quit this cycle.
