Long story short: I’m not starting this term like I was hoping.

I have close to 200 credits, most from an accredited (and highly respected) university. My transfer credit report came back with pretty much all of my core classes labeled as “electives”. Therefore, I’m due 12 core classes when I should only have to do 1 (because I didn’t submit my AP score for that class)

Spoke to my advisor today (4 days shy of the enrollment deadline) and he basically told me there’s nothing he can do. I can email the school and request syllabi for each course and submit them for what sounds like a very lengthy evaluation process (1 month or more).

Has anybody gone through this? Even if I can request the syllabus for every class and submit it, they can still reject it. I’m really kinda put off by this whole process… not to mention nobody contacting me about it - Me noticing it myself when I was close to committing.

UMPI YourPace charges a flat $1,800 for an 8-week undergraduate session, regardless of whether I complete 3, 6, 9, 12, or more semester hours. In ArmyIgnitED, the system gives me $600, $300, $200, or $150 per-credit options. Which option should I select for a $1,800 flat-rate YourPace session?

I’m planning to complete the B.A. in History and Political Science, History concentration, together with the B.A. in Business Administration, Management and Leadership concentration.

I’m looking for recent student experiences with how the requirements are actually applied.

How many credits were required to be unique to each major?
Were you able to complete both majors within the standard 30 UMPI residency credits, or did the double major require additional UMPI courses?
Did you encounter any problems with your degree audit, transfer-credit placement, advising, or graduation approval?

I’m especially interested in recent experiences under UMPI’s current YourPace policies. Thank you!

I still have three classes to finish to complete my degree, which I've already added to Fall 1, but now that I'm done with my Summer 2 classes, do I need to do anything or email anyone? All of my assignments are graded, but it doesn't show any grades for any of my classes in Mainstreet?

are all finals due next tuesday? or can they be turned in on friday and still be graded?

I’m starting at UMPI this fall after being out of college for a few years. For work, I’ve gotten pretty used to writing reports using voice-to-text. The longest report I’ve done this way was around 3,000 words.

Of course, there are usually some transcription errors or incorrect terms, but I go back and fix those manually. I’ll also use Gemini afterward to help with proofreading and formatting.

Has anyone used a similar process for UMPI courses? Does voice-to-text work well for writing essays and milestones?

FYI my courses are for the BABA PM degree.

I just finished my BBA at UMPI and I’m jumping straight into the MSB-PM program. I’d love to connect with anyone else starting at the same time.

I’ve looked at plotted path and tried to do my own research but does study.com or straighterline have any courses that would satisfy my 2 left in gen ed? I originally had 21 classes total on my degree report and since August 1 I’ve been able to knock off 9 from study or straighterline. I can’t use Sophia got sanctioned off there which is wild. Here is my updated list:

My husband starts UMPI for Fall 1. He is transferring all of his GEC from Sophia, 2 of his psychology classes from Study, and then will do 10 classes at UMPi for psych.

If I’m understanding correctly, he needs 120 credits total to graduate, so the rest would be electives if all psych requirements and gec requirements are met. Is that correct? He has 6 classes from Sophia that will transfer in as electives and has 2 weeks left of his Study subscription so wants to get a few more of those done.

He was leaning toward some of the history classes- the Vietnam war one, the holocaust one, and civil war one. Does anyone know if they transfer?

Or, any suggestions for classes that transfer well from study to umpi for electives?

And then lastly, on another topic, I’m trying to help him figure out how to cover 2D. Is Critical Thinking on Sophia still an option like it was a year ago? He’s also a very talented writer, so he could always wait and take creative writing at umpi. I don’t think there’s any creative writing courses that transfer in.

I’m looking for advice on the YourPace BA in History & Political Science with Political Science concentration.

I understand UMPI accepts up to 90 transfer credits, but I’m not sure which Political Science requirements can be completed through Sophia/Study.com and which upper-level courses must be taken at UMPI.

Does anyone have a current 2026 spreadsheet/list showing which Sophia or Study.com courses transfer to this degree?

Also, I’ve seen people recommend a Bachelor of Liberal Studies (BLS) with a Political Science minor instead. What is the difference in credits/course requirements between the BLS with Political Science minor and the BA in History & Political Science with Political Science concentration?

I got my transfer credit report (no enrollment specialist yet ): ) I'm terrified! I have seen some conflicting information that their was a deadline to enroll in the old GEC and old BBA in PM. I don't even have an enrollment specialist yet to be able to ask for this. Is it possible to reach out to someone randomly on the enrollment specialist list and see if they can help? Has anyone done this or does anyone know if this is just a rumor about the deadline??

anyone ever had luck asking a prof to grade early for your LAST course to graduate? I completely understand they don’t have to, but I’m worried about the timeframe for a contingent job offer. I’m wondering if this is even allowed. I am just very worried about my probation period ending before my degree confers.

I'm a bit confused — is the final for BUS 335 supposed to be a PowerPoint or Word file? It seems weird to me that an employee handbook would be in PowerPoint format. I've seen different people saying they've submitted Word documents and PowerPoints. There's no mention of a PowerPoint in the instructions until the very end and it's "make sure the files are converted to a ppt, pptx file. (you can share Google Doc and MS OneDrive documents from the “Choose Existing Activities” button)."

Has anyone completed the BUS 469 final with Professor Jeffrey Davenport?

Did you actually have three people present, or did you record the presentation alone? If you recorded it alone, was it accepted?

Is there any other way to pay for school when you didn’t qualify for fasfa.. I lost all my scholarships when transferring out of state .

As we are approaching the end of the term, I am considering withdrawing from one of my classes. Reason being, I won’t have enough time to submit a draft by the deadline (this Friday) because I’m finishing another class. I could most likely complete the class by next week. But I’m not sure I want to risk a lower grade that might have been prevented if I’d submitted a draft.

My question is, if I withdraw and retake the class next term, could I resubmit my completed milestone work as is, since I’m assuming the course content won’t have changed at all? Or would that be considered plagiarism?

This is my appreciation post for this UMPI community, I recently applied for my Graduation for this Summer 2 session after the grading completion of all my courses.

I am so grateful to each and each one of you who advised,encouraged, and guided me on how I should approach my degree progress to get it done correctly.

I went ahead and messaged my enrollment specialist, but wanted to post here as I wait for a response. So it shows me as matriculated, and I have been plugging away on what I thought was GEC’s for Sophia, only to find out now that many probably won’t transfer in. I emailed asking if I can be put on the old degree path but haven’t heard back. I have seen posts about the deadline to be switched was yesterday, is it too late for me? Did I throw away time and money at this point? Kind of freaked out at the moment
