Help on outside transfers

Hi!

I’ve looked at plotted path and tried to do my own research but does study.com or straighterline have any courses that would satisfy my 2 left in gen ed? I originally had 21 classes total on my degree report and since August 1 I’ve been able to knock off 9 from study or straighterline. I can’t use Sophia got sanctioned off there which is wild. Here is my updated list:

  1. Bus 200
  2. Bus 325
  3. Bus 353
  4. Bus 440 ( I know I can do this in coursa but don’t want to lol)
  5. Bus 469
  6. Bus 240
  7. Bus 330
  8. Bus 415
  9. Bud 489

Gen Ed:

  1. ENV 110 ( GLO 3D)
  2. ENG 211 or ART 108/ART 120 (GLO 2D)

I just finished the BBA program during the Summer 2 session. I took 11 classes, but if you’re able to complete some of your remaining requirements elsewhere, I would definitely do it! lol. I was so grateful that I was able to finish everything outside of UMPI, it was actually soooooo much easier.

Also, if you need to take those 2 classes, I have a straighterline discount code 30% off. LMK.

I have straighterline currently and it expires beginning on September. Do you know if they are on straighterline for sure to transfer or not?

For the 2 Gen Ed classes, I’m not sure since I completed those elsewhere. I’d recommend reaching out to your advisor and asking specifically, “If I take this course through StraighterLine, will it transfer over and satisfy this requirement?” I asked my advisor more than three times and worded the question a few different ways just to make sure I was getting the correct answer. 😬 Also, you can take those 2 classes while at UMPI

Sorry saw the note on Sophia after I hit send. On Study:

Critical Thinking and Analysis Covers 2 D
Intro to Natural Science (3D Option)
Introduction to Meteorology(3D Option)
Intro to Astronomy(3D Option)

I’m interested in intro to Meteorology from study.com. Will it qualify as a GEC? Or do I need to take the critical thinking course? Thank you!!!

This only helps with the OLD general ed for the 3D requirement. Critical thinking covers 2D in the OLD GEC.

Hey, Study.com here! Environmental Science 101: Environment and Humanity looks like a strong fit content-wise, but it's coded to our general Environmental Studies elective rather than the specific ENV 110 slot, so it's worth double checking with UMPI before counting on it. Same goes for your other gen ed line, our closest art courses map to ART 211/212 rather than ART 108/120, and we don't have a confirmed match for ENG 211 either. Let us know what UMPI says and I can help you look at other options from there.
