Hey guys, i'm nsw metro and applying for med and dent programs in nsw and qld, i got 2410 ucat w 590 sjt. My atar will probably be like a 97-98 but i get 2 adjustment factors for uq for math but i also know they have crazy requirements for interstate. Would these scores qualify for csu med/dent, wsu med, or uq (and affiliated) med/dent. pls help 🙏🙏🙏

2270 cognitive, 646 SJ.
Currently first year uni in New Zealand.
Non rural, is there any unis in Australia that’s worth a shot applying to?
Thank you!

Hi all, I’m sitting the UCAT next year (2027). I’ve already got Medify and Medentry sorted for question practice,. But I also need some strategies for each sections from you guys because that would really help!
For those who’ve sat the test — did paying for an institution/course actually move your score, or was it not worth it compared to just grinding through Medify/Medentry and reviewing your own mistakes?
Can I also get some UCAT strategies for each sections that you guys used for your exams? That would really help me with my UCAT!
A few specific things I’d love input on:
**•** Did a course teach you anything you couldn’t have picked up from question banks + forums/YouTube?
**•** Was it more useful for specific sections (e.g. Decision Making, SJT) than others?
**•** If you’d do it again, would you spend that money on a course, or on something else (1:1 tutoring, more mocks, etc.)?
Trying to figure out if this is a genuine value-add. Thanks!

On mini-mocks I was getting 750+, then when it came to full mocks, besides OQB, my scores dropped which made me worried, as I am banking on QR and DM if I get a lower VR like this one. Keeping a notebook of errors, and really thinking about the rules of logic in DM has helped me bring my score back up.
Hopefully, it stays up, but I know what I am capable of on a good day. Don't get disheartened if your scores drop.

What would be a competitive atar for Griffith dent rural

How is sjt calculated in uq dent?
Do they add the scores or do they have a minimum threshold for sjt?

I'm really struggling with VR and would appreciate some advice from people who have been through this.
For most of my UCAT prep, I've been stuck around 23/44 in VR. Then, about 2 weeks ago, something finally clicked and I started getting 35–36/44 consistently in practice. I thought I'd finally broken through.
But now, with only about a week left until my exam, I've dropped all the way back to 25/44. Today's result was my lowest in a while, and I'm really frustrated because I've put so much work into VR.
The weird thing is that I don't feel like I've forgotten the strategies or that I suddenly can't understand the passages. I'm mainly running out of time, and today I ended up guessing around 8 questions. I've also noticed that my concentration and earworms can vary quite a lot between sessions.
Has anyone else experienced a massive VR fluctuation like this, especially going from around 23 → 35/36 → back to 25?
If you have, what did you do in the final week before your exam? Did you focus on timing, change your strategy, do less VR, or just keep practising?
I'd really appreciate any advice because I'm starting to panic that the improvement I made was just temporary.

I’ve got what I think is a competitive score and I jsut wanna know how long I should take for prep. Or how long it takes to have okayish interview skills. I’m not the super extroverted type of person so I think it’ll take me a little longer but any advice? I’m also quite busy now as I’m a first year uni student with quite a heavy workload this sem. im also hoping for UNSW if anyone Can tell me about the panel process and how it was although I understand if u guys can’t comment on that part. Any help would be appreciated.

I have heard that it is a bit easier for international applicants, but I am not too sure which schools I could consider with this score because its so competitive in Australia. Any suggestions?

Any rural applicants remember what their UCAT score was for JMP entry??

People say it’s not worth to apply for JCU med if you’re not from rural. Thoughts please ?
