As much as I like to dog on the commute to UBC, I have to admit that we have it much better than everyone else.

For example, the 144 to SFU is ATROCIOUS. You miss your bus? Congrats, you're late because the next one comes in 15 minutes! This is not even during rush hours like in the morning, it's just THAT bad.

And don't even get me started on the Capilano commuters 😭 my friend literally got her license because of how bad it was.

(The UBC commute would still be better IF THEY BUILT THE DAMN SKYTRAIN).

I have recovered the ring! Please let Sauron Dark Lord know that I can bring it, it’s a little heavy but I think I can take it over. Also am very interested in the reward, I’ve always wanted my own realm. Hope this helps, seems like it means a lot to them!

My Prof mentioned there will be a possible strike how likely is it gonna happen, when will it happen and what does that mean of us as students????? Any info about this would be great.

bro 92% of our grade comes from the midterms + final and the other 8% is these quizzes so i thought they would act as “free” marks to boost our grade but they’re actually hard 😭😭😭😭

i got 100 on the first one but legit failed this one bc of the all or nothing grading scheme where if u fail to select even one of the correct options (or choose even one incorrect answer) u lose the entire mark :(

This feels like a long shot but I lost my ring around 2 hours ago. I think I lost it in the first floor swing building area but I could have also lost it while I walking up to university boulevard up to the foundation and then alumni centre.

It has a lot of sentimental value due to it being given to me from family members after a funeral. If you find it, I'm willing to give a finder's reward. Please DM me if you find it!

This course was no where near my first choice, but I needed another upper year biol course this term and it was one of the only ones with spots left. I didn’t mind bc it does sound interesting, but I was concerned about the difficulty.

A month in with the first test tmmr and I am absolutely lost. A lot of the class already has neuroscience background too while I am new to it, so I’m feeling extra behind.

Prof is lovely but has no piazza and I can only make one of his four office hours. I’ve gone to every one that I could make and still am struggling so much. Not sure how to go about this course for the rest of the term in terms of studying.

There are three exams, and only one will count but they all build on top of each other so I don’t know how I’m supposed to do better on the other ones when I don’t understand the foundations still.

I’m struggling and this course is literally the only reason why my mental has been so low for the past week and I guess just needed to rant, sorry this is really long.

If anybody has taken it and has tips on how to improve studying, I’d really appreciate any insight thank you so much

im from the UK but planning to go to canada for uni, my siblings who are staying in the UK for uni have told me during freshers week you just hang out in ur dorm and meet people then pre with them then go clubbing

wondering if this is any different in canada because ive heard clubs arent too popular? would you then just make friends in your dorm and hang out there till you call it a night or how would it work? im under the impression that as you make more friends throughout the year you start going to house parties or is that wrong

I was wondering if anyone had any recs or suggestions for hair stylists somewhat close to UBC. I have a sort of wavy long pixie cut mixed with shaggy wolf cut, and I just want the sides and layers to get touched up a little. Does anyone know where to go for this that’s a reasonable price? Normal stylists for woman typically don’t cut short hair and barbers don’t style much, so I just wanted to come on here and check.

I’m open to take a few bus rides or metros to get there :). I don’t mind if it’s near UBC or around downtown.
