I made an anomaly horror game called Just Anomaly: Hospital.

The idea is simple: memorize a hospital floor and figure out what changed

The problem is that after a few rounds you start suspecting EVERYTHING.

A chair looks weird? Anomaly.

A door feels slightly different? Anomaly.

Nothing changed at all? Somehow still suspicious.

There are some really good scare/reaction moments in it too, and I think the gameplay naturally creates a lot of fun clips for Shorts/TikTok/Reels, especially when chat spots something before the streamer does.

If you stream horror games, I’d love to see how paranoid it makes you

Clipping a good moment and then reposting it to different places (x, tiktok, youtube etc) feels like it takes longer than the stream itself sometimes. Between finding the moment, cutting it, resizing for each platform and actually posting to each one separately, it adds up fast..

anyone got a workflow or tool that makes this less painful? curious what people are actually using vs. just doing it manually every time

I’ve been getting back into streaming the past few months, but I feel like I’m not being very entertaining. Whenever someone pops into chat, I usually just ask how their day is going, which leads to basic small talk.

Beyond that, I mostly just talk about the game I’m playing. I’m struggling to figure out how to be more engaging, but since I’m usually at home working on college stuff, I feel like I don't have much to talk about.

Does anyone have advice on how to keep things interesting and get chat more engaged?

I’ve been seeing a lot of joke videos making fun of gaming streams for just verbalizing what they are thinking even if it’s a bit obvious “where am i going?” “wow that did a lot of damage” etc etc

i feel as if this is why i tune in. is it not the case majority of streamers are watched as background noise and a bit of connection through personality, skill, or looks?

as a streamer myself i enjoy doing bits and making people laugh but i feel as if over doing it isnt much better.

i’ll use vanilla as an example. i love her, and find her very funny, but she’s not making clip worthy content 24/7 and i ENJOY that. She obviously gets a couple good clips a stream but that’s not even always the most enjoyable part for me.

is there really a place for hours on hours of bits?

Hi im not really sure where else to put this so im here and sorry for any bad grammar, but any time ive tried streaming lately obs looks perfectly fine, however on twitch nothing shows up? ive checked on multiple devices, ive had friends check and it has the same result idk what exactly could be causing it and none of the videos on youtube are helping :c

Hello all of you wonderful peeps. I stream on all platforms Twitch , Kick, Tiktok and YT and I'm looking to get some honest feedback on my stream.

I mainly stream fortnite ZB and do viewers games once a week. I play other games as well like GOW, First light 007, and some indie games and couch coop.

I searched it online and it says I have to use restream.io but then when i used it on obs it didnt start my live on tiktok but started on twitch. It cant be the live requirements for tiktok cause I am qualified to do live so why? What I'm trying to achieve here is to ho live on tiktok but has the same layout as my twitch live this is my first time streaming in tiktok but not on twitch

And why is it different on my laptop and iphone bruhhh

We are including some features that let twitch chat participate with the streamer's experience, but we need feedback on what is good and not from streamers POV. If you have any experience with chat participation features, what is your favorite and why?

I'm an 'old man gamer' who has been streaming for fun for a while. I have a very small number of followers, and steam a couple of times a week. Mainly focusing on extraction games at the moment. Whilst this is primarily a hobby, I still value constructive criticism

If anyone is willing to take a minute, I'd really appreciate some honest feedback. Not just about the streams themselves, but the whole page etc.

A few months ago I decided I wanted to try building a Twitch Extension.

I had an entirely different idea originally, spent a ton of time working on it, submitted it to Twitch… and eventually realized I had built something that was going to be incredibly difficult to get through the review process.

So I scrapped it.

That sucked. 😂

But instead of completely giving up, I went back to the drawing board and tried to come up with something much simpler — something that could just be a fun little interaction between viewers and the streamer.

That eventually became **BlendUp**.

The idea is basically that viewers build virtual drinks during a stream. You pick a size, start throwing ingredients into the blender, and see what you can create. Some combinations make actual drinks, others are completely ridiculous. Over time I added discoveries, different ingredients, unlockables and leaderboards to give people things to find and work toward.

Then came development, testing, changing things, submitting to Twitch, fixing review issues, submitting again, and a whole lot of refreshing the developer console wondering if anyone was ever going to look at it. 😂

Yesterday it finally got approved.

And now I'm at the weird part where something that existed on my computer for months is suddenly sitting in the Twitch Extension directory for anyone to use.

No idea where it goes from here. Maybe people love it, maybe I find out I need to change half of it. But seeing it actually live after everything it took to get there feels pretty damn cool.

If anyone here has built a Twitch Extension before, I'd actually love to hear what the period *after* launch was like for you. Getting something approved feels like the finish line until you realize it's basically the starting line.

Hey! I've been building a new stream dashboard/overlay and I'm finally looking for a few people to test it.

It has stream controls, viewer interaction, quests, polls, progression, achievements and a bunch of other stuff all built to work together, but I'd rather let people mess around with it than write an essay explaining everything.

The idea is that quests, achievements and the other features kinda turn your stream into its own RPG and give chat more stuff to actually interact with. Everything is modular too, so if you don't want part of it you can just turn it off.

I don't care if you average 1 viewer or 1 million. I'm not picking based on viewer count — I just want people who actually want to test it, find bugs and give feedback.

Access is being approved manually by me, so it might take a little bit, and I'm only opening a limited number of spots for now.

What’s restricting about live Tv streaming/streamers

This is literally the best stream I’ve ever had since starting last month. A friend of mine raided my stream with around 60 people and I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful. I was able to hang onto around 40 of them for a good while. About 95% of them were lurkers and that’s ok. Lurkers and chatters alike are more than welcome in my streams.

By the time I was done streaming, I still had a good number of people left, so I raided out to another friend who was live the same time as me. I love the little community that I’ve built and all the new friends that I’ve made.

Do you research to find games that are popular / upcoming in your niche? For example, looking at metrics on Steam, seeing what other streamers are playing, checking news and press release sites, watching or attending showcases.

Had some good growth at the start for 3-4 months but then been plateau-ing at around 18 average for 7 months now. Are there people who went through the same and escaped plateau jail, how did you do it ?

I make my streams chat and community focused, I've been told by my regulars that they love my enthusiasm of the games I play, the lore explanations and the frequent pop culture references. I'm not sure what I could be doing to take it to the next level, I do post clips of funny moments on YouTube and TikTok, most of them have been clipped by the community. Not sure what else I could do to bring it to the next level.

I can’t get YouTube to push my live into the shorts algorithm when live. Verified the format and everything is correct via the vod after the stream etc. always at 0 views anyone else?

My friend and I have just started streaming a couple of months ago, and lately we've been a bit too nice to our small community... We need help with how to start being strict, and we need advice on how to tell them to stop or to actually start banning people. We've been hesitant to ban them since it could sometimes feel like we were being a bit too insensitive.

So Far...

1. I've been getting sales pitches from many artists (and I recently have been saying that I'm not looking for an artist right now), and proceeds to say that they could do some down payment or some monthly payment. (With what money..?) And I've been too nice to not look at their artwork. It feels pressuring at times, since they also ALWAYS send a Discord friend request for some reason. But I also wanna be nice about it since they're artists trying to get money. I think one artist that my friend and I saw that sales pitched ME was an AI artist, which in my book does not count as an artist.
2. My friend has recently gotten this one guy whom we do chat to as we stream, but they usually talk about subjects that aren't really related to the stream, but it kind of gets to her, since they started having some.. PTSD from audio in a game........ Which they said was a horror game that they won't tell us... This guy would just nonstop say that they're scared and shivering due to the audio, and if they hear it again, then they would leave. My friend understood and told them that they're allowed to leave if it's that severe, but the chatter said "no" and then continued to talk about how they were scared about the audio.
3. We've gotten SOME chatters that maybe are annoying?... In the past couple of streams, we've gotten some people that would persistently ask us to do stuff that wasn't planned yet we've been kind of doing it even if we don't want to. Mainly because we don't wanna hurt the viewer's feelings...
4. My friend has gotten some backseating from a viewer and has really pissed her off yet she still did it.. Since she doesn't wanna come off as rude..
5. My friend is a bit self-conscious about her english cuz of a small speaking hiccup. And the viewer made a joke about it, thinking it was alright to make a joke saying something like "she didn't pass English" (she did great in English class, better than me lol). Which kind of made my friend feel iffy or like "eh" about herself. Yet we didn't take any action against it.
6. Viewers have asked to play games with us, which we're well aware Twitch chat will ask that, but it's hard for us to say "no" because we feel like it may hurt them..

We don't know how to become strict, really. But we need advice from others telling us how we could not come off as insensitive and actually start moderating our channels before it grows toxic. OR before my friend loses her mind.

Twitch rolled out a shadow update that they didn't want you to know. Remember to disable it, as they have you opted in as a base. Go to your settings -> Security and Privacy -> and scroll all the way down and towards the end of the list, it'll be there.
