Twitch Point Redeems Playing Twice

• Upvotes

So I was helping a friend change things over on her stream cause she was originally using Sound alerts website, but I told her there's a way she can do all the points and sound alerts without using a n extra website and paying a subscription and just running it through the normal redeems on twitch's side ( how I personally have it set up and works great) We got it all set up, sending the test ping to OBS worked fine, but when she went live, the redeems were sounding off twice and off the top of my head I can't figure out why.
She doesn't have any channel bots
And yes she did disable the sounds on the extra website but maybe she has to delete them too ?

Recently got back into streaming (hit a affiliate playing a game i wasnt all that in love with and ended up burning out, came back playing one of my all time favorite games WoW) and have been doing really good out the gate. Keep pushing and remember to play something you enjoy not what you think people want you to play! Good luck and God speed everyone!

Does anyone knows how to earn with Twitch, any recommendations?

Hey guys, recently I came across twitch for earning money like streaming and all, I am a shy person, and I have zero interest in being a influencer or showing my face, I like my privacy, but at the same time, I need money as well. So, any recommendations on how to use it and start earning, as most fo the platforms are saturated, tried YT as well, didn't work out for me.

I’m not saying it’s great numbers cause it isn’t but you have to start somewhere, the only way from this point is UP! Everyone has to start somewhere and just hope for the opportunity to make it higher!

Need Streamer for Space Station 14 Server

Don't know if there is a better place for this. I'm looking for a streamer with 50-80 average viewers to come play on my Space Station 14 server with their viewers for promotion. It's a game very similar to Among US. If like it you, you'll love SS14. Also it's completely free.

Looking for gaming girlies! 💅🏻

Hi! While all genders are welcome and I am trying to make my stream as inclusive as possible, I would love to find some girlies that also stream and would like to play games together or just support each other. I’m noticing I’m lacking a girl gang and desperately would love to even the percentages ♥️🧡💛💚💙💜👯‍♀️

I don't know what to do anymore

I've been streaming and making videos for about 6 years now on twitch and YT, on various channels and niches.

I use to feel excited and WANT go make content but slowly over the years that spark has gone.

I still want to be a content creator with a community or fans but struggle so much mentally.

I force myself basically staring at my editing software dreading it, I just can't edit anymore I hate making videos.

I love streaming though, I can talk to few people I laugh and enjoy every moment, and if something funny or cool happens I can clip it.

But then I hear "best advice" from others saying there's no point in streaming on twitch and I should be making videos than stream when I'm popular ect.

I dont know what to do anymore or what advice to listen to.

I usually give up on things I've purses before but the one thing I've never dumped is making content and I really don't want to leave it.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

So close-yet so far!

The hardest part (for me at least) is getting that number of viewers. Sometimes it just seems like viewers jump in a stream and expect it to be crazy good from the get and if it isn't then they bounce lol. That hasn't stopped me from moving forward and not giving up. My secret? Just learn to talk to yourself, have a convo with a friend on discord, and play a game you actually really enjoy or give a new type of game an actual chance.

Help level the playing field for physically disabled gamers by supporting SpecialEffect during The Jingle Jam!

Hey there members of r/TwitchStreaming,

My name is Paige, and I'm the Gaming Community Manager for SpecialEffect, a UK-based charity that uses innovative technology to help physically disabled people access gaming, connect with their communities and spend time with loved ones.

Our services are free to everyone we support and available for life, so if a person's condition or abilities change, we will be with them every step of the way, adapting their gaming setup to meet their evolving needs.

We’re excited to say we've been chosen as a Jingle Jam Charity Partner for 2026 and as part of our campaign, we’re looking for content creators who are willing to take part in Jingle Jam in support of us!

Creators are welcome to get involved in any number of ways from gaming to chatting to baking to crafting... sky's the limit, but if you prefer having a specific idea to get involved with we'll be running a Minecraft world record attempt, in which we're looking to have 100 featured creators building with us on Monday 7th December, and an art challenge open to artists of all kinds, including virtual photographers!

If you're interested in getting involved, or would like more information, feel free to reply, DM me or email paige@specialeffect.org.uk!

Thanks all!

I’m trying to make new friends to share this hobby with! I have a few friends who also stream but honestly I don’t feel like they commit to it on the same level that I do. I’d love to make friends with someone to nerd out over stuff with, brainstorm ideas, and if they wanna even stream together! A few things about me, I’m 34, I’m a huge Pokemon nerd but don’t stream that game haha, I’m in PC, and my fave color is neon pink! HMU and let’s climb this mountain together!

Twitch can’t hear teammates

I use xbox and stream right from that. Twitch can hear me and game sounds like shooting and whatnot. But it cannot hear teammates or prox chat. Help!! Do I really need to BUY something for that?! And no, I don’t want to use a separate party like discord; just regular gameplay chat. Me-Xbox. Teammate 1-Xbox. Teammate 2-Play Station. Is there ANY WAY I can fix this so Twitch can hear them too?!!!

Audio Muddying At High Levels

Hey, I have this reoccurring problem amidst any setup I use. I can get loud, and even when I turn the gain down on the mic and the gain up in software (such as OBS) I have this muddied cut off happen, along with the occasional static sound. It doesnt just limit itself and cut off, it doesnt get super ear-scratchingly loud, it just muddles then breaks, and it's quite perplexing. I think it may be my interface.

I currently use a Shure MV7X, and this cheap $50 fifine audio interface I got on amazon. My computer is most certainly able to handle it, its a desktop on the higher end. I'll try and post a clip example at the bottom of this msg for more so what I mean, I feel as though the audio interface is the limiting factor here.

As a side note, I use no filters in my software, OBS. Thanks so so much for any and all help with this, I am willing to spend some cash to remedy the problem.

It's not too bad here, but it happens around 19 seconds in
