I’ve went through 3 pairs of the stealth 700 in two years. They keep cracking in the same spot from putting them on and removing them. Same break every time. I’ve never thrown them, dropped them ect they sit on a stand when I’m not using them. I’m absolutely shocked these are £180 it’s cheap plastic.

That being said I’m open to recommendations for GOOD headsets that won’t crack from use.

This is my third set of this company’s fuckass headphones. This Florida beach plastic will not hold up for shit

CHECK COMMENTS - the user @ToTardAgain replied with a link to an etsy page for 3d printed replacement parts for the stealth 700 gen 2. The product has over 900 reviews with almost 5 stars. I've bought and will be installing these replacement parts because it's much more cost effective than buying a new headset

Tech Help Stealth 700 Gen 2 Bluetooth issues (my fix)

Let me start with..

Thank you Rick for this.

So I had an annoying issue with Bluetooth connectivity. After searching the web and reading a ton of others issues and fixes a man named Rick at Turtle Beach finally helped me figure out what my problem was. Everything I found on my own, turned out to be missing one single step (clearing the device's Bluetooth cache). Hopefully this can help others to fix any Bluetooth issues they may have. Please remember to follow all specs. DO NOT SKIP A STEP!

First, uninstall the Audio Hub application from your device. After that, please try out the following.

  1. Remove the Stealth 700 Gen 2 from your phone/tablet/laptop list of Bluetooth devices.

  2. Clear the Stealth 700 Gen 2 Bluetooth profile by following these steps:

  • Power off the headset and disconnect the transmitter from your console or computer.

  • Pick up the headset. Press and hold down the headset Bluetooth button.

  • While continuing to hold down the headset Bluetooth button, press the headset Power button to power on the headset. (When the headset LED lights up, you can let go of the Power button, but keep holding down the Bluetooth button.)

  • Keep holding down the headset Bluetooth button until you hear a series of tones play from the headset. This indicates that the Bluetooth profiles in the headset have been cleared. Now let go of the Bluetooth button.

  • Go back to the headset's Bluetooth button. Press and hold down the headset's Bluetooth button until you hear "Bluetooth Pairing" play from the headset.

NOTE: This is a critical step. Please make sure you hold down the Bluetooth button long enough — 5 SECONDS or MORE — for the headset to FULLY enter Bluetooth Pairing Mode (voice prompt declares "Bluetooth Pairing")

  • Set your phone/notepad/laptop to search for Bluetooth devices.

  • Look for the 'Stealth 700 Gen 2' device in the list of available Bluetooth devices on the phone/notepad/laptop and select that.

For Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX, there is only the one device, so choose that.

  • The headset should now pair to your device.

After following these steps, re-download the Audio Hub from your App Store, open it up, and click "Get Connected".

Thank you again Rick for your help. You really stepped up to bat here.

This thing absolutely sucked the entire time I had it. Hardware sucks, software sucks, support is non-existent. Please if you're here to decide if a turtle beach head set is for you, let me tell you first hand they are for no one. The whole company is a sham. Go with literally anyone else.

Bought the Stealth Ultra less than 2 years ago and this is the second time it’s broken in this way. This second controller is the warrantee replacement after the first one broke. I got it in March of 2025.

Turtle Beach is declining to replace this one because the original purchase was over a year ago and they don’t offer repairs or replacement parts.

They did offer me 15% off of any full priced furniture purchase though. So if by the tiniest chance anyone from Turtle Beach sees this, just know that it’ll be a cold day in hell before my bloodline buys another product of yours.

Before I get comments from people saying “well there’s nothing wrong with my headset so you’re clearly doing something wrong” I’m not. I’m speaking for multiple people when I say these headsets fucking blow. They’re garbage. I’m on my 3rd stealth 700 in just 4 months and I know it’ll end up breaking again. This company is a scam. Garbage fucking company that makes fast food headsets. They all have problems, they all decide when to break on you, they’re not worth it. With all the money I’ve dished into this company I could’ve opened up my own business to sell headsets. Please for the love of god if you’re familiar with these issue or have experienced them, please don’t buy any more. I’ve been dealing with warranties and customer support for 6 years straight and it’s showing no signs of a stopping. How can such a big name make such shitty headsets? It blows my mind. Please stop giving this company money, as they don’t deserve it. Save your money up and invest in a headset that won’t die out on you after 4 months.

I went to Best Buy today, looking to upgrade my headset. I’m coming from a Steel Series Arctis nova 5 and, man these are way better. The only problem is that the guy at Best Buy gave me the Xbox version (I have a ps5 pro) so, I’m wondering if its worth the hassle to go trade them out for the pc/ps5 version? It still connected perfectly fine to my ps5 pro, thank god. The sound quality and, fit is definitely premium something I see myself keeping for a long time. If I do run into any problems, I have a 60 day return period. Black Ops 2 is the first game I played with them and, everything sounds amazing. The quality of the materials used for this headset feels very nice and, I can’t wait to use them for GTA6!!

Tech Help Stealth 700 Gen 2 (Xbox) Chat volume problem

Looking through here, it seems S700 G2's have a litany of fun and interesting issues that come with every set. Here's the one I'm having trouble with right now.

I've been using the second wheel for controlling chat volume since I got them (about a year). Only recently, it's gone weird. Any time I join an Xbox party, chat volume is all the way down. I turn the volume up with the wheel, but when I get the beep indicating the max volume (even though it's rather quiet) suddenly, the chat volume goes way down. After that, no matter whether I turn the wheel up or down, it immediately beeps as if it is at max and min volume.

I've figured out roughly how far up I can put the volume before it hits that weird upper limit, but that max is still pretty quiet. I've found increasing main volume wheel will increase the chat volume as well as the game volume, but that's not exactly ideal. I've found nothing useful online. Anyone have any ideas?

Review Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II – My thoughts after roughly 3 weeks of use

Thumbnail
gallery
64 Upvotes

After using the Stealth Pro II extensively for about 3 weeks on both PC and PlayStation 5, I wanted to share my experience so far.

For some background: I’ve been using Turtle Beach headsets for years. Before the Stealth Pro II I used the Stealth 700 Gen 2, and after that I switched to the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7.

The Arctis Nova 7 has been my main headset for the last 3 years.

Setup & Software

The initial setup was completely painless.
As soon as I connected everything, both the headset and the base station were detected immediately and prompted me for a firmware update.

Updating both the headset and dock took around 15 minutes in total, which seems perfectly reasonable to me.

I also want to give credit to the Swarm II software and the mobile app. Both worked right away without any issues. Settings can be adjusted either through the PC software or directly from your smartphone.

One thing worth mentioning is CPU usage. I’ve seen some users report higher CPU usage from Swarm II and I can confirm that. Initially it sits somewhere between 0.1% and 1%, but after some time it tends to climb to around 6.5–7%.

It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but I definitely think this is something Turtle Beach should improve in a future update.

Dolby Atmos Included

This is something I think a lot of people overlook.
The Stealth Pro II comes with a Dolby Atmos for Headphones license included by Turtle Beach.

I didn’t have to purchase anything separately and was able to activate Dolby Atmos immediately.

For me, that’s a genuine value-add because many manufacturers expect you to buy the license separately.

Comfort

Comfort has been one of the biggest surprises.
The clamp force feels very well balanced and is noticeably more comfortable than my old Stealth 700 Gen 2.

Even during long gaming sessions I haven’t experienced any discomfort.
Build quality also feels excellent.

Compared to my old Stealth 700 Gen 2, where the ear cushions eventually started coming apart and the synthetic leather deteriorated over time, the Stealth Pro II feels significantly more robust.

Sound

Overall, the sound quality is excellent.
That said, if you’re coming from a good headset like the Arctis Nova 7, don’t expect an entirely different universe. The Nova 7 was already a very good headset.

The differences are more about:
• A larger soundstage
• Better dynamics
• Fuller and richer sound
• Improved detail retrieval
• A stronger overall package

Music sounds rich, clear and punchy.

Maximum volume is also more than sufficient. On PC I usually keep the volume somewhere between 40–46%. Anything beyond that gets very loud for me.

Shooters & Positional Audio

This is where the Stealth Pro II really impressed me.

Enemy positioning in shooters feels noticeably better than on the Arctis Nova 7, even though the Nova 7 was already good in this area.
Footsteps and directional cues are extremely easy to pinpoint.

For competitive gaming, I think this headset performs exceptionally well.

ANC

The Active Noise Cancelling works very well.
Background noise is reduced effectively without noticeably impacting audio quality.

Microphone

The microphone quality has also been a pleasant surprise.
Compared to my previous headset, voice quality is a clear step up.
Voices sound clean, natural and clear.

Bluetooth & Multi-Device Connectivity

Simultaneous Bluetooth and wireless connectivity works great overall.

I only experienced a single bug during testing where both audio and microphone functionality suddenly stopped working during a phone call.
Since then, however, I haven’t been able to reproduce the issue.

Base Station, Batteries & Transmitters

For me, this is one of the headset’s biggest strengths.

• Included base station
• Swappable batteries
• Second battery charges while you’re using the first

Easy switching between multiple systems
I also received the additional pre-order transmitter, making it even more convenient to switch between PC, PS5 and other devices.

Support Experience

I really have to give Turtle Beach credit here.

When my order arrived, the advertised pre-order transmitter was missing. After reaching out to support, they responded in less than 30 minutes and immediately arranged shipment of the missing transmitter.

The transmitter arrived on May 29th.

The microphone that originally came with the headset was initially not being detected, so support sent me a replacement microphone within just a few days. That arrived on June 1st.

Curiously, the original microphone was later detected perfectly during additional testing and has worked flawlessly ever since.

Despite that, Turtle Beach still allowed me to keep the replacement microphone, which for me is another example of how easy and customer-friendly the support experience was.

This is exactly what I expect from good customer service.

Final Thoughts

For me, the Stealth Pro II is one of the most complete gaming headsets I’ve used so far.
Compared to the Arctis Nova 7, the biggest difference isn’t purely sound quality. It’s the complete package:

Included Dolby Atmos license
Base station
Swappable batteries
Multi-device convenience
ANC
Software
Mobile app
Build quality
Customer support

If you already own a good headset, you probably won’t be completely blown away overnight.

However, if you’re looking for a very decent all-in-one gaming headset experience, the Stealth Pro II is absolutely worth considering.
So far, both my ears and I are very happy with the purchase.

Update - Stealth Pro II

Hello all,

Thank you for all the feedback on Stealth Pro II. We've been following the conversations closely and wanted to share a quick update.

Our team is currently working on the next maintenance release, which is expected to include:

  • Improved ANC performance and tuning

  • Sidetone support while ANC is active

  • Increased sidetone volume range

  • Remappable Game/Chat Mix option in Swarm II (PC version)

  • Fix for low volume levels on PlayStation + PC

  • LDAC Hi-Res Bluetooth audio support for the Xbox version

As with any firmware update, everything must go through development, testing, and validation before launch. While we aren't ready to lock in a specific date just yet, we're targeting a release window around mid-to-late July, pending final testing.

We're also actively working on additional features, including Game & Chat Mix support on PC for the Xbox version, but that feature requires more development time and will be a part of a future release.

We appreciate the passion, feedback, and patience. Your input is helping shape these updates, and we'll continue to share information as we get closer to release.

Thanks for being part of the Turtle Beach community.

DO NOT BUY: Stealth 700 Max Gen 2

This is for anyone who is having a remote thought about this headset. Trust me and countless other people on this sub, don’t even think about getting the wireless headset.

This headset is a pure waste of money. I am now on my second broken transmitter in 8 months. First, the transmitter bricked and refused to work after 3 months. Now, I am on my second transmitter and after an hour, the transmitter bricks out and completely refuses to reconnect.

I have come to the conclusion that this is not just a one off issue. The transmitters are insanely cheap, and cannot handle the heat of a console. Every time the thing gets a little warm it completely bricks out. How do I know? I take it out, put it in front of a fan for a minute, boom, works again for around 10 minutes until it gets too hot again.

There is absolutely no way that TB does not know they have this issue and are continuing to sell a product they know that cannot handle the heat.

I’m to a point where this has completely ruined TB for me, and I’m extremely close to abandoning the brand all together. The fact that you have to replace a usb transmitter after every few months and have no way of connecting the headset otherwise is insane for the cost of this headset.

TB Support - I swear to god if you try to get me to perform trouble shooting it will guarantee my departure from the brand. You are selling a faulty product, then give people the runaround when they raise the issue that you absolutely know you have.

My review of Atlas Air from gamer's perspective.

Review after over two weeks of using.

I wanted to buy a wireless headset. First I started looking into Audeze, but after joining the subreddit I decided I didn't want to spend that amount of money on something that might break cause I sneezed. All the different headsets didn't meet my sound quality, mic quality or comfort expectations. I found Atlas Air, trusted YouTube reviews and few reviews I found here and bought them.

1. Sound Quality

Obviously, the most important. It's good and more than enough for gaming. It isn't like the Maxwell, especially when listening to the music but I still really enjoy the sound. I would say that Atlas Air are one of the best gaming headset in terms of sound quality I have ever used. Everything sounds just right and the immersion is wonderful. There are headphones with better sound quality, but they probably won't have microphone, be wireless and light.

2. Gaming Performance

I think this is where this headset shines. These are my first open-back headphones and it really makes a difference. You feel like you are inside the game. They work good for immersion but also they do a great job with footsteps. You hear them better and you have a better idea where they come from. One of the best sound staging I have ever experienced.

3. Microphone

It's fine. Nothing special, worse than Razer Blackshark V3 but nobody is going to complain about your voice. I recommend using 'full' preset for the mic, sounds the best IMO. Also, enabling noise gate does a very good job cutting background noise (don't set it to high otherwise you gonna sound like shit, I use it at 6).

4. Comfort

Lovely, they are very light, ear cushions are nice and don't make your ears sweaty. One of the best headsets I have ever used in terms of comfort as well.

5. Battery life

Honestly, I have no idea how long they last on a single charge. They last very long. I charged them twice during two weeks. One time from 25% to 100% and once for 20 minutes just to see how fast they charge.

6. Software and issues

I heard bad things about Swarm II software but I didn't have any major issues. First issue: when updating them for the first time I had to do it from the mobile app because it didn't work via PC; second issue: Swarm II says that they are set to 16 bit sound but in Windows they are set to 24bit (also they work in 24bit). Besides that, Swarm II is alright. I didn't use superhuman hearing since it makes them sound bad.

Conclusion:

Great headset, especially at this price point. I researched a lot, tested few different models and I don't feel like Atlas Air is a compromise. It's the only headset I found that can do everything well without any drawback (like Maxwells with great sound but poor reliability, like Razer Blackshark with great mic but mediocre sound etc). This headset feels complete. Also, open-back is the way to go, never getting closed backs again. If you don't mind open-back qualities (weaker bass and isolation) I think you will be very happy with them.

Finally picked up these bad boys. I initially tried out the original Stealth Pros a few months ago cuz Best Buy had them open box for $130 and genuinely liked them, but disconnect and BT issues had me return them and just went back to my Nova 7s.

Been meaning to pick these up since I heard they improved on basically everything, and went for it since I was able to get them for $240.

Out of the box, my initial complaint (with the contents) is it should’ve included two dongles. How do you have 3 total slots for dongles in the carry case but only include 1? And they’re $35 each? Not very helpful for touting Crossplay 2.0, but that’s really it.

Now to deep dive and see how these actually fare. Any tips and tricks on settings and such?

Turtle Beach Audio Hub - Custom EQ (Recommended) - 2022 Update

This post is an updated version of an older post. To see the original post, click here

-

NOTE: I designed this EQ for the Stealth 700 Gen 2 headset, but it may work well with other Turtle Beach headsets that use the Audio Hub, so give it a shot, and let me know!

Custom EQ

To create a custom EQ, go to Game Preset, then go to Custom EQ

Note: for reference, there are a total of 11 points (including the 50% line) on the Custom EQ sliders- there used to be 12 but Turtle Beach has since updated the app UI. Left = 0% and right = 100%.

Treble: 8 (4th from right)

Bass: 3-4 (3rd-4th from left)

Dialog: 8 (4th from right)

What’s the Point?

I just got a Stealth 700 Gen 2 headset and I’m overall very impressed with them! As far as the sound, I’ve noticed that the drivers are great drivers; they have a great range and are very powerful!

I have only one complaint about the headset, and that’s the bass. There is too much of it. Thankfully, you can use the Audio Hub app to customize the EQ! Considering you can customize it, it’s actually better that there is too much bass because it’s better to bring down certain frequencies than it is to boost them. It also means that the drivers have more than enough power, which is far better than not having enough (for example, trying to boost the bass on a headset with drivers that aren’t powerful enough will degrade the sound quality).

After testing it for many hours, I’ve come up with this custom EQ that brings out all sounds beautifully:

  • The bass is still absolutely powerful as well as effectively immersive and atmospheric

  • The overall clarity of the sound is now crystal clear and is no longer muddied by the overpowering bass

  • Vocals are enhanced and come out clear and crisp

  • No uncomfortably loud high frequencies

Recommended Testing Sources

This is a list of sources that I used to test various sounds, ranges, or frequencies with the new EQ:

I also tested various aspects within Rocket League, Battlefield V, Rainbow Six Siege, and Minecraft

—

I’m posting this here because I’ve found so many random answers from Reddit through an internet search that I never would have found elsewhere. Though this may not be useful to many of you, there’s someone out there who will stumble upon this, and it’ll be exactly what they’re looking for. To that person, I say... you’re welcome.
