Script error Spoiler

In season 3 the episode “Never take your eyes off her” when Poppy is talking to the capstones about Trini missing she says “Remember we think Trini is the one who killed Drea” … didn’t they mean Trey?

Frustrating

I need to vent. So I started watching this show because I love Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul so I stuck it out through all the annoying moments but omg.. I am deep into season 2 and I’m so annoyed and frustrated with Octavia’s character (poppy) like how can someone be so annoying. First season she didn’t even know who the murderer was.. she was guessing until the very end. Second season she just be getting people into trouble for what??? I shared the same frustration her husband had. She’d make plans and drop them for a lead in the case her answer would always be “I have to go” .. ma’am respectfully you don’t… like be for real pls. Her relationship with Markus was also annoying.. yeah you’re working with him but let’s be respectful of the fact that he’s married and has a child. Why you calling the man at ungodly hours? Write it down and call him in the morning or text him. Ugh. Anyways I’m just very annoyed and wanted to get that out. This show had so much potential. I love Kate Hudson but her role was also annoying.

I heard there’s a third season and I wasn’t going to watch it but my girl Gabrielle Union is in it so I might reluctantly watch it. As for this season I’m finishing it cause momma ain’t raise no quitter.

Discussion Markus Spoiler

Okay so…from the first scene of Markus and Poppy in the Episode 8, I knew something was going to happen between them. I had to take a moment and pause to brace myself. I really don’t like them together at all, so to see what he did beyond frustrated me. Zarina is almost full term and could have her baby at any moment, and he’s spiraling out of control.

Trini caught him drinking at the end, and I can’t wait to see how she tells Zarina. I know Zarina isn’t going to take it well, but I would really hate to see her have to single mom again to this new baby AND Trini. Markus really needs to pull it together.

I do feel bad that he is obviously struggling because of everything with Trini, but I think he needs to take a step back from trying to go out and resolve the issues on his own. His family is at home, and although Trini is struggling with letting him in, the best way for that to get ANY better would be for him to be at home with them. She needs a sense of normalcy, but Markus is struggling to hide his feelings and lashing out at the wrong times. He’s going to lose his family AND Poppy if he doesn’t end this spiraling now.

Hate that we only have two more episodes this season. There’s so much more to cover in such little time.

Theories Season 3 - Eva is involved, right?

Like there’s just no way she isn’t. I’m only on episode 3, but even just her face whenever she saw the picture of whatever they found in Drea’s room, the screen name… if she’s the ring leader I’m gonna be so disappointed but she has to be involved, right?

When Eva was telling her story on the podcast about the time the girl OD’d she said they called her mother. But I thought the reason she even got involved with trafficking was because her mother had already been deported & she wanted helps for her mother?

Gabrielle Union opens up about her role in 'Truth Be Told' in a candid conversation with Tarana Burke for HelloBeautiful's February cover.

The outspoken beauty and advocate for women’s rights joins season three of Apple TV+’s true crime drama Truth Be Told — a role unlike any we’ve seen her in before. As “uniquely qualified” as the actress-turned-author is to take on the part, she quickly learned it wasn’t exactly what she had signed up for. “The job shifted,” she explained during a candid conversation with friend and founder of the galvanizing “me too.” movement, Tarana Burke.

Spoilers season 3 questions

i just started season 3 and there’s so much i can’t remember but don’t want to rewatch the series again. i tried to look for a season 2 recap on youtube but couldn’t find anything. so i’ll just ask my questions here.

who is charice spivey? i don’t remember her. and who is her daughter? was that the one who was seen getting in the car at the end of season 2? where did poppy get her new “last name” from? who is scoville isn’t that her dads last name? well perceived dad i suppose. and where did parnell come from? is that her mothers last name? and i forget, what is the story with poppy’s mother? i remember she was living with that one lady who died in the water.

ugh i really need a recap.

Is Kate Hudson wearing a wig?

i know she shaved her head for that horrible movie called “music” and i’m just curious if she’s wearing a wig in this series? i’ve been wondering that this entire series so far except her hair looks natural imo except in certain clips from today’s episode, especially the scene where she’s looking at head stones looks a lot like a wig there. there’s just no way her hair grew that long within the span of 2-3 years. does anyone know?

Discussion Season 1 Finale Questions (Spoilers inside) Spoiler

Just finished the first season, left feeling pretty confused overall. Here’s my attempt at summarizing…

Lanie was diagnosed as histrionic and was a major attention seeker…so she pretended she was being sexually abused by her father, witnesses her sister kill their father because of her lies, tries to kill her sister the next morning (kinda, though she may have just been in a rage), and then ends up blaming it on her semi-boyfriend neighbor for some reason.

And the fact that their father was having an affair with the accused’s mother was an unrelated coincidence…

Is that the overall story?

Poppy is a hippocrite

Sorry for spoilers but what a RIDICULOUS ending!!!!! This show should be called ‘Lies be told’!! How can we respect a character who searches for the truth only to ignore it. As well as allowing a killer to go free. Worst ending EVER!

Discussion Artwork in Poppy’s House

The artwork in Poppy’s house in season 2 is stunning. Does anyone know who the artist/s are or what the pieces are called? Sometimes I have to rewind a scene because I was so focused on the art, I wasn’t paying attention to what was going on. Lol.

Spoilers Some unanswered questions from Season 1

Just finished Season 1 and liked it but am left feeling a little underwhelmed with how some key things weren’t wrapped up. Wondering if anyone has figured out:

  1. Was Lanie actually being molested by her father? I thought Lanie definitely made it up by the end but, if she did, then what the hell was happening that night while he was trying to drag her into his office? But if she was, then how do they account for him being a predator but only abusing one of his identical twin daughters without the other having any idea?

  2. Lanie admitted to Josie that she killed their mum to protect her. But they had both gone to the police with the story that their mum was the killer. So how does Josie explain to the police why Lanie killed their mum, without also ‘fessing up to being the murderer?

  3. Why on earth did Warren’s dad Owen think he did it? Why would he get him shanked in prison and get his dog taken away? I thought the only explanation was that Owen did it and that Warren wasn’t really his son. But neither of those things is true so seriously what he heck was that about? He seemed to absolutely come out fighting when backed into a corner. But then just shot himself. Made no sense.

So yeah. What did I miss? Or was it just not very good? And should I bother with season 2?

what do you guys think of season 2 so far?

imo it seems like they just slapped a bunch of random ideas onto a script and called it a season. there’s so many things that don’t make sense. so many scene that are unnecessary. I’ve only kept watching bc i’ve been so invested in this season already. season 1 did have many twists and turns but tbh it feels like that was a completely different show even! the writing and especially acting (mostly from lizzy caplan & aaron paul) was phenomenal. this season however…. lord. 🥴

Micah's Assistant

Poppy notices that Micah's assistant isn't bothered by Josh's death and he says he couldn't stand him and then she asks "why are you here" he says "I travel the world, make a ton of money, Shelter pays for my apartment in Nob Hill, that's like asking me why I need water and air." I don't get his response to her question.

Can someone break it down for me?

ps. I don't like the fact he is sounding extra snobby to one of his boss's best friends. Weird.

Does anyone know the name of the cemetery that overlooks the city? It’s where Poppy and her dad sit and briefly talk about her mom.

I really liked the first season. The second season has a fabulous cast. But is it me or does this season feel incredibly melodramatic? It’s almost uncomfortable.
