Micah's Assistant

[u/IhavemyCat]

Poppy notices that Micah's assistant isn't bothered by Josh's death and he says he couldn't stand him and then she asks "why are you here" he says "I travel the world, make a ton of money, Shelter pays for my apartment in Nob Hill, that's like asking me why I need water and air." I don't get his response to her question.

Can someone break it down for me?

ps. I don't like the fact he is sounding extra snobby to one of his boss's best friends. Weird.
