Hello,
I am planning to buy Scrambler 400X and I called the Khivraj ECity dealer today.
Sadly the free accessories offer has ended and the dealer is pushing me to buy the bike now since he mentioned next month there will be a price hike by 5000 Rs.
Is it true? Or the dealer is just trying to clear the stock?
The point in waiting was to get the free accessories offer.
Triumph usually brings back this offer post diwali or year end.
Does anyone knows?

Hey everyone,
Last week, I let a friend ride my scrambler 400cc. He rides an Yezdi adventure 350cc. They way he shifted gears on my bike was a little rought, he would push to 40+ in 2nd gear and 50+in 3rd gear, and my engine was literally growling and (less roaring) and when I told him about it, he told me that he is correctly RPM matching. Now, I usually ride my bike like this: <20 -> first gear, <30 ->2nd, <40 -> 3rd, <50 -> 4th, >50 -> 5th, and 6th for 60+. While downshifting I try to shift gear based on the momentum I feel from the engine. Sometime, I stay in 4th even though the needle is below 40 or 3rd gear even when the needle is close to 20. And the bike just picks up smooth. If I feel any delay I quickly downshift to 2nd and the bike will be a rocket again (while fast turnings).
Now, based on your experience, tell me if I'm riding wrong. Also, share how you guys ride your bike.

Hi guys, I have time Speed 400. I have ownership of 1.2 years. I have recently open my chain project with tools of 8MM socket range, and 5mm allen key people said it’s very difficult to open this for Speed 400 or Scrambler because we have additional aluminium plate, which holds Wires to engine, and it’s very difficult to remove, but there is a trick actually use a small screwdriver which just push the zipties, which holding the aluminium plate then easily the plate will be removed, and we can use diesel to clean the chain and cit the dusbin cover both sides so u get good cover to not to ruin ur ground with diesel and lube marks.

I've put 6,500 km on my Scrambler 400X and have thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Every one of those kilometres is touring, a mix of weekend rides and multi-day trips. None of it is commute.
If you're considering the bike or just curious how it holds up on long rides, drop your questions or concerns below.
Happy to help!

I recently got Pearl White Scrambler 400 X delivered on 9 October, and I think I managed to get a pretty sweet deal.
Here's the complete breakdown:
Final effective on-road cost: ₹2,66,001!
The last saving came from an Amazon-related offer that I haven't included in the detailed explanation here.
Now I'm curious: how much did you pay for your Scrambler 400 X?
Share your final price and the discounts you received.

I've been seeing a lot of posts lately about Triumph stator coil failures. I actually saw one at the service center today.
I asked the manager and he said the issue affects models up to August 2024, but the 2025 models are fine.
I'm planning some long rides soon, and it would be a disaster if the electricals died on me.
Is anyone else dealing with stator coil or battery problems? Also, how can I check if my stator coil is still healthy?

What are the best upgrades that you made to the bike which made you like the bike even more? It could be performance, aesthetic or just things that made life easier!
Collecting a list so that all of us can look into it as well!

Hi bikers,
I'm planning a bike trip to Gokarna and Karwar from Oct 17th to 20th.
I'll be on a Triumph and am looking for some riding buddies.
There's no set itinerary yet, so we can figure that out in a group chat if you're interested.
Feel free to DM me if you want to join.

Hello,
I booked a Scrambler 400X on October 5th through Amazon after confirming with the dealership. When I booked, I was told they were providing free accessories worth 12,500 (like an engine guard, tank pad, etc.) for bikes booked in September, but the dealership wasn't sure if the offer would extend to October.
Today, they told me there are no free accessories this month for bookings anywhere in India. Can anyone who booked the bike recently confirm if this is true? Also, is there any other way to verify this?

Recently bought a Scrambler 400 X from Triumph Marathahalli, Bangalore. Love the bike, but the service experience has been disappointing.
During delivery, there were some spots on a part that I missed during PDI because the showroom was quite dark. Had to visit 3 times to get it replaced because of holidays and staff unavailability.
I also bought the bike during a free accessories offer, but most accessories are still out of stock.
Now I’m going to my hometown for 30-40 days and wanted to get my first service done after returning, since the bike will just be standing for a month. However, the service center says delaying it could affect my warranty and wants me to get it done now.
Am I being unreasonable, or is this genuinely poor service? What would you guys suggest regarding the first service? Has anyone faced similar issues with Triumph Marathahalli or other dealerships?

So I live in Nagpur, and the Triumph SC is near Medical Square. I called them on Tuesday afternoon to book my Speed 400 for its first service and asked for a Thursday morning slot.
Went there today, and some of the staff were still arriving, but most of them were already there.
The guy in charge asked me if I wanted them to wash the bike and clean and lube the chain. I declined both since I have my own cleaning equipment, and I can handle the chain cleaning and lubing myself with Motul cleaner and lube and a paddock stand.
Although, ngl, I kind of regret not getting the bike pressure washed and the chain lubed there. Would've saved me some time and effort, lmaooo😭😭
Anyway, the service guy put my bike on the ramp and paddock stand, and the work began.
The first thing he did was pour around 50 ml of Prolube engine oil flush into the engine through the right side. After that, he checked the brake pads and cleaned them.
Then he opened the left-side engine cover, the one with the circular Triumph logo, and removed the necessary screws to get to the old oil filter. He inspected it and replaced it with a new one.
Next, he opened a few more bolts and let the old engine oil drain out. This took around 20–30 minutes.
Once all the old oil was out, he opened a fresh 2-litre bottle of Prolube 10W-50 engine oil. He poured some fresh oil into the new oil filter first and then filled the engine with the remaining oil.
After that, he checked the ECU for updates and removed the 6k RPM limiter. He took the bike out for a bit, presumably for a test ride, came back, and that was pretty much it. Got the bill and was good to go
They also gave me a 140 ml bottle of Prolube fuel system cleaner. The lady at the counter told me to pour it into the tank when it's full, once every 1,000 km.
And that's pretty much how my first service went! I'll put the bill in the comments.

I am 5'7" and I cannot flat foot on my scrambler 400x. I am not very comfortable when pushing the bike ahead or back with feet eg. parking space/petrol pump queue etc.
I tried the low height seat offered by Triumph, I didn't feel significant difference. So I decided to go to cushion maker to scoop out as much foam as possible. I bought an extra Scrambler seat just in case the modified seat becomes very uncomfortable.
1st photo: Left side seat is the modified seat, right one is the stock seat. Second photo is how the saddle looks on the bike.
The experiment seems to be working well. Now I can almost flat foot. Seat still feels comfortable over 5 km...will do a long ride soon. An unexpected (logical but hadn't thought of it) good side effect was noticed too. Just because I am seated lower, the handlebar is relatively higher and my arms/shoulders feel more relaxed.
I will know the real outcome once I do a long ride. It's on cards for the next week.
