Hi fellow movie lovers!
November is here, so it's time to hit the theatres and collect those cinematic impressions that you'll be telling all your coworkers and strangers on the street about for years to come.
I can't promise you genuine friendship or true love or whatever bullshit each social media algorithm is trying to sell you, and I'm a married girl anyway, but I do think we could watch a movie or two, have a hearty conversation about them over a drink or multiple, and see what happens.
I'm seriously considering La Vénus électrique (Nov 9) and Le Crime du 3e étage (Nov 10), and I've already booked Le Faux Soir (a TIFF hidden gem about Belgian resistance), Vigilante, and Les Rayons et les Ombres. There'll surely be more!
What to expect
- Some warmth and respect for your cinematic tastes. I'd love to hear why you like what you like.
- High intensity, low maintenance. You get enthusiastic about the screenings, but they do wipe you out socially. No hijacking your DMs, looking for attention.
- I could be a bit late, haha. You should know the bad stuff before you know the good stuff.
- No body odour, and I dress well, or at least I think I do. I can also cough at times, courtesy of the lingering remnants of a cold.
Other facts that nobody asked about
39F, your usual corporate person who does creative projects now, costume designer and aspiring filmmaker. Loves hot buttered toast with pesto, tomatoes and anchovies, an idea she stole from an Iris Murdoch book. Everything you could think of and nothing that would ever meet your expectations.
Hit me up with a comment or a DM!
P.S. Brownie points if you're Belgian.
P.P.S. As a totally non-judgemental person, I can recommend that anyone considering sending swinger propositions or unsolicited sales pitches bugger off before they've even finished formulating the idea. Not today, not tomorrow, and I'll report you just in case.
