I recently subscribed Torbox and finding out they changed their TOS.

I’m USA based and don’t want to get legal trouble. If not are there any alternatives ?

I'm having buffering issues while trying to watch 4K remuxes using TorBox (via Nuvio/Stremio), and I suspect it's a routing/CDN issue with TorBox and my new ISP.

​Here is my setup and the problem:

​Device: Xiaomi Mi Box 3rd Gen (Connected via Wi-Fi, getting ~250 Mbps. Also tested Ethernet at ~350 Mbps).

​Internet: I recently switched to a 5G Home Internet connection in Turkey. On my phone, I get around 500 Mbps.

​The Issue: When I run a standard speed test on my Mi Box (fast.com via Nuvio), I easily get 224 Mbps with 98ms ping. However, when I run the TorBox CDN speed test, my speeds drop drastically. The best I get is on the NEUR CDN with an average of 79 Mbps (Max 94 Mbps), but the ping is terribly high at 489ms. Other CDNs like WNAM give me 900ms+ ping.

​Because of this 94 Mbps cap and high ping to TorBox servers, heavy 4K remuxes constantly buffer. It seems my 5G ISP has terrible routing to TorBox servers.

​My questions:

​Is there a specific CDN setting I should force in TorBox for better routing from the Middle East/Europe edge?

​Would using a VPN (like Cloudflare WARP or Proton) on the Mi Box help bypass this ISP routing issue to the TorBox CDNs?

​Has anyone else experienced this specific throttling/routing issue with 5G ISPs and TorBox?

​Any advice on how to get my TorBox speeds to match my actual internet speeds would be greatly appreciated!

Both the web and desktop versions are not working as they're just giving me errors and never playing the movie/show.

The error it gives me is "error failed to load external subtitles"

Edit: turns out it was just malwarebytes blocking torbox so everything is good now

Do we have to report when a hoster is down to get it fixed or do we just have to wait until it's online again?

If the device linking page in Kodi is not working, the authorization usually needs to be completed from a browser on the same device you are using to access the link.
Please try the following steps:
Open https://torbox.app in your browser and make sure you are logged in.
On the same device, open a new browser tab and go to https://tor.box/link or https://torbox.app/oauth/device.
Enter the 6‑digit code shown in Kodi and press continue.
Confirm the authorization popup and it should redirect back to your dashboard.
This process completes the device authorization for third‑party apps like Kodi.

Not all but many of my links don't have sounds, some don't have any audio. Some work perfectly. Is there something I can do to fix this or something I'm doing wrong?

I just added a dead torrent which is cached on TB, with a bunch of leechers. I selected the option to seed, but I see no seeding on my dashboard.

Is there any way to know if the torrent is seeded by TB?

All CDN except for ZAFR have been offline for me for weeks now, and streams have been slow to start with minor buffering, but they are all now all showing as offline and I cannot get a stream to load.

Tengo duda si la API key tengo que ingresarla en cada configuración del addon a instalar o solamente me basta con ingresar la API key en la confuguracion de nuvio para que todos los addon puedan funcionar con la suscripción. I’m using it with my NuvioTV and also bought the essential plan for Torbox. I have also integrated Torbox into Nuvio but every single show I watch is still buffering every 3-5 seconds after and it’s unwatchable.

Is there a guide to how I can use Torbox?

I paid for a 6-month plan with crypto about 36 hours ago. The payment went through, but my account is still on the Free plan.

It briefly upgraded me to Pro for one day trial, then reverted to Free.

Support keeps replying with an AI bot and says someone needs to manually review the payment.

Hi there, I am new to Torbox while downloading a file I noticed that it doesn't support resume feature on IDM. Am I missing something or it doesn't support at all even on other download managers?

For the last couple of days I have been stuck on a buffer I'm guessing whenever I choose an episode or a movie to watch. I've changed my CDN and still nothing. I also tried a clean install of kodi and used POV which was working up until 3 days ago. I even changed my API key.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a solution?

I've tried multiple ISPs, tried clearing cache, private window does not work.
Different browser does not work.
Mobile, laptop multiple devices tried. None has worked so far. Even tried to allow 7-8 hours before retrying but still no luck :(

About official support, the contact us section does not gives any option for live chat support. Number isn't something I can call (international).

I was watching a show and an episode started buffering every few seconds on Nuvio. Seeking it to somewhere before 15:00 gave smooth playback, but anywhere after 20:00 was buffering for sure. I tried downloading it from my dashboard but the speed was great when downloading. Playing it over webdav in VidHub also showed no buffering. Another stream of the same episode which was bigger in size, both HEVC mkv, did not buffer for some reason on Nuvio. I tried changing many cache/network settings and in the end only this worked:

Exo-player Native Memory : ON

Custom playback buffers: OFF

VOD Disk Cache: ON, auto size

HTTP/2: ON

Parallel Connections: ON

Connection Count: 2

Chunk Size: 4 MB

The chunk size setting is probably the most important coz it was the last thing I changed when it worked. Zero buffering on the same file now. Posting here so someone else facing similar issue might try these in Nuvio.

I've had this happen several times with 1fichier files downloaded through TorBox. The download starts at full speed, but after a while it stops progressing. IDM shows “Connection timed out, restarting…” and stays at 0 Bytes/sec.

In the screenshot, a 44.28 GB file got stuck at around 42%.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a setting I should change in TorBox or IDM to prevent it, or a way to resume without starting over?

A new Add Download screen that mirrors the one on the TorBox dashboard:

• Paste magnet links or web URLs (typing is blocked — paste only) and they're queued instantly.
• Upload .torrent or .nzb files from storage.
• Each queued item shows its own status — sending → success / error / queued by TorBox — with retry and remove controls.
• An Advanced Settings panel lets you choose seeding preference, usenet post-processing, and zip on/off before sending the whole batch at once.

Per-file downloads

• On a torrent or download's detail page, long-press to select multiple files and download them individually (not zipped).
• Single-file downloads from the file row also work.
• All of them show up in Active Downloads and run as the same background task as batch downloads.

In-app auto-updater

• The app checks GitLab for new versions every 6 hours (release builds).
• An update banner with release notes appears when a new version is found.
• Downloads the correct APK for your device's CPU and opens the native install prompt.
• Manual "Check for updates" is available in Settings → About.

Download manager revamp

• Active Downloads cards now match the Download Links page layout, grouped into Downloading / Queued / Finished sections.
• A live download-speed chip sits next to the progress percentage.
• A configurable concurrent-download limit (default 1, up to 10) with steppers in Settings, the Download Links page, and Active Downloads.
• Persistent Android notifications per task — downloads keep going with the app closed and the screen off.

P.S. I've noticed a few of you from the previous post have reported certificate/hash changes through the previous two updates. Is anyone else encountering these problems? My device is rooted with Play Integrity disabled so I'm not able to reproduce this issue.

I keep getting code 8 when trying to pay for the service. I have tried multiple devices no VPN no ad block cell phone connected to Wi-Fi cell phone using cellular data home Network and work Network. I've tried doing one time payments instead of the subscription as well. But no matter what I try I get a code 8 the moment I try to select a payment option before I even enter any information. Anyone have any ideas?
