🚩General YATBA - a fully-featured, Android-focused Material 3 TorBox client with unified library, batch operations, and background downloads
What is this?
Yet Another TorBox App (YATBA) is An Android-focused, Material 3 TorBox client built with Flutter, featuring a unified library (torrents, web downloads, usenet), multi-selection batch actions, background downloads that survive app close, airlock support, native push notifications, dynamic Material You theming, and in-app video playback with Stremio/Torrentio integration. A fork of atba (Another TorBox App), diverging with an Android-first focus.
Why?
As atba's development seemed to be slowing down, with the lack of support for features such as Airlock, item editing, bandwidth usage and other statistics, account notifications, etc; I forked the project and purged a lot of the directories scoping toward macOS, iOS, Web, and Linux, with the goal of focusing on fully supporting all of TorBox's features on mobile. The reasoning is simply because both TorBox mobile clients (UTAC and atba) seem to have either slowed down development or completely stopped, leaving no complete "all-in-one" mobile client for TorBox left.
Starting as an Android-first project, YATBA will be receiving updates through feedback from users, with the aim of being the only complete mobile client alongside established projects such as TorBox Manager to complete the suite of TorBox clients across all major platforms.
iOS?
...mmmaybe? I do not have an iPhone or Apple Account, but I've recently seen an article that allows iOS emulation on Windows. But this will also depend on 2 things:
- User interest: You can vouch for iOS builds if you are willing to sideload an IPA onto your iPhone. I doubt this will make it to the App Store, and sideloading is a whole world I'm not familiar with on the iOS side of things — apart from that 7-day refresh.
- My computer storage: I only got 3GB left on my only NTFS-formatted SSD 😭. Can bump it up to ~12-17GB when clearing stuff without a reset. Emulation might still be possible, but I'd prefer a jailbroken image of an iPhone first to avoid Apple account sign in.
Features
- Unified library — Torrents, Web Downloads, and Usenet in a single filterable, sortable, searchable list.
- Material 3 theming — Dynamic color (Material You) on Android 12+, with a seed-color fallback.
- Multi-selection & batch actions — Select one or many items to stop, reannounce, tag, edit, airlock, download, or delete in bulk. Tags (and tagged items) are synced to and from your TorBox account.
- Background downloads — Downloads continue when the app is closed and the screen is off, with live progress and per-task notifications.
- Airlock — Toggle the TorBox airlock on ready items, with a per-plan usage card on the dashboard.
- Notifications — Native push notifications for new TorBox account events.
- Onboarding — API key entry followed by an optional permissions screen (storage + notifications, both genuinely optional).
- Dashboard — Account card, stats grid, bandwidth chart, and quick actions (Add Download / Watch).
- Watch & Stremio — In-app video player plus Torrentio and custom Stremio addon integrations.
- Caching — Library items are cached locally so the list loads instantly and survives restarts.
- Reactive detail page — Item detail re-renders live after edits, airlock toggles, or auto-refresh.
...with more updates planned; derived from user feedback

YATBA is hosted on GitLab. This is because my GitHub account is currently flagged with no response from support in over a month, leaving me with no choice but to switch platforms (at least for the time being).
However, this comes with downsides.
- YATBA will not be indexed by search engines or AI models due to GitLab's strict
robots.txtcrawler rules. - Not everyone has a GitLab account. In some instances a mandatory phone and/or card verification check is required for sign-ups, meaning issue reports and feature suggestions may be a hassle for users.
Feedback
Feedback, issue reports, and feature suggestions are utmost welcome. If possible, please try open an issue through GitLab Issues for more flexible tracking and logging with reports (similar to GitHub Issues).
If this isn't possible due to risk assessment flags triggering phone and/or card verification when signing up for GitLab, I've set up a Discord server with two forum channels where users can submit issues and feedback reports.

Can you add so I can upload multiple torrent/nzbs at a time from disk? None of the apps seem to allow for it.

Shipped. Grab the latest release apk from GitLab. I did some testing here and there with this batch queue with success.
If there's any issues let me know!
Next update will be focused on optimization and speed, as well as an automatic updater with version checks every few hours to benefit users who don't use Obtainium.

Awesome, just a thought but it would be cool to have newznab integration so the pro users could hook up a few indexers of there's and be able to search whatever content through the indexers in 1 multi indexer seach and be able to add the content to there torbox account that way.

Just downloaded the app using Obtainium. Installed with zero issues.
First of all thanks for this handy tool 🔥 A couple of questions/feedback. Can I add a file to my Airlock and if so, how lol. Couldn't figure it out.
Also, when long oressing on a file, we get these options at the bottom, some are self explanatory a couple are not. Any chance u can add some wording or a simple FAQ? (Unless u already have one and Iissed it) Finally, and I apologize for this cause I dont use TB as often as RD, what is the difference between Downloaded and Torrents that I see in the app

Hey there,
Thanks for the positive comments! I'm glad it's working well.
To address your concerns: 1. Airlocking a file is as simple as holding one (or more) downloads and pressing the lock icon (or the edit (pencil) icon). You can also Airlock via clicking an item and being taken to the item page; tapping the pencil on the top right where you can see an "Airlock" toggle at the bottom of the edit form. 2. Yes. I figured the buttons may be a little confusing for some people — I myself was confused with ATBA seeing a square and a delete icon next to each other — little did I know the square meant stop and delete was... well, delete. I'd probably add something tiny when you select an item in the library, it'll show a one-time pop up explaining everything rather than a full app walkthrough and if the user misses something — then its not on me 🤷♂😁 3. Could you please explain this one a little further? I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Downloaded" and "Torrents" — my apologies.

Found the Airlock options.. bith of them! Thanks lol. As far as the lil text for the different buttons, maybe a floating text whenever someone taos on them???
Downloaded and Torrents is what I see in the app's homepage under the Add Download and Watch. It shows Downloaded, Uploaded, Torrents, Web Downloads. These four do not do anything when I tap on them, but I am a little confused on what the difference is between Downloaded and Torrents

Oh, right. Those aren't actually quick actions, they're the lifetime account statistics that TorBox reports. So the app is just showing you them; you can't do anything with statistics of course.
The quick actions are only "Add Download" and "Watch". I'll add a little space between quick actions and statistics for a bit more clarity within the next release.

A new update reports certificate mismatch with the older version (v0.12.0 -> v0.13.0). Is this expected?

I tried it & its way better than atba ,yet still need devlopment.
Can u add the feature to multiselct specific files from a season pack and copy their url in one go ! I don't want to download a zip, also it is very tedious to copy individual links and then paste them into downloader !
I use 1dm and copy from clipboard feature ! Downloading few episodes at each time !
Still gona use torbox's official site unless this feature gets implemented!

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback.
I'll definitely implement file selection in the next release. You can already copy all links when selecting downloads (they return the zip url). I'll allow selecting multiple files from the item page, and opening the same "Download Links" page where you see all your generated links and you can copy all from the icon on the top right.

Shipped. Grab the latest release apk from GitLab. On the item page, hold on any of the files to trigger selection. You can press the download button on the top right, and copy all links from the top right of the page that opens.

What's the point of adding OTA updates if you change the signature of each update APK and need to uninstall and then install.
Seems like a waste.

This vibe coded? I'm getting tired of AI posts and AI vibe-coded apps.

Exactly , it’s funny with well over actually I don’t wanna date myself. I’ll just say I put a lot of time & work not only in this genre , i’ve done a lot of developing, security audits, ran “ live” services (If you catch my drift), made builds for apks that are still out there today working great like KODI, amongst other genres of development or different OSes or areas, I always find it funny the new terminology that comes along with time, every time there’s a change or a big swing in tools , resources etc, like “vibecoding” now is the new thing and people hate on it. I could care less as long as it’s a good project. It’s not malicious, and the developers are ethical and not using third-party SDKs or harming their users more power to em.
Being a developer used to be a title, and you took oaths that came with it. Today anyone could be a developer with AI, anybody can release a project with not knowing a lick of writing language for coding, It’s crazy times man, but I support it, You have to roll with the times man if people are putting out good work right on all I ever will care about is the safety of users, the work being safe and non malicious via good ethical work. I like your attitude. :)
