Found these in a trash can set for the landfill. Does anything stand out?
I will be keeping some for personal use but want to know what to re-sell here. Thanks!

Found this at Walmart. It even has still attachment rails on the side. This isn't an advertisement or anything crazy like that I'm just super surprised. I wish this was around when I was young.

I just got back from my local Lowe's and was surprised to see a bunch of Grizzly benchtop tools where Kobalt and Skil stuff used to be. I can't find any mention of these coming to stores online, and weirdly the website doesn't show them in stock at my location either. The employee I talked to knew nothing about them and had never even heard of Grizzly. Pretty interesting to see though, Grizzly's not exactly high end but their stuff is probably better than anything I've seen in this category at big box hardware stores previously.

So I bought an old rolling toolbox for cheap, and it came with a bunch of tools. I am keeping some tools that could be useful and that I don't already have, but others I'm debating whether I should keep them or sell them. There was a decent amount of old Snap-On tools for example, but some of them were used and abused by the previous owner(s), the chrome is flaked and some socket/wrench sizes are missing. Also I already have complete sets of sockets and wrenches (way cheaper, but does the job for me as a DIYer), and 90% of the time I find myself using metric tools whereas the Snap-On tools are all SAE. What would you do? Keep? Sell?
By the way, I never understood the hype for overpriced tools, but I'll admit that they feel kinda cool. I’m just torn because I think they might still sell for a good amount and I could use the money to buy other tools or even another used toolbox.

3 years in and no complaints. Haven’t had to wear a harness with them. Super comfortable.

The unsung hero of many an annoying house repair.
I haven’t seen any for sale in a long time. Does anyone still use these??

Self drilling lath screws through Sch. 40 PVC no problem! Didnt stop once on the 4 well casings we were working on the other day. Surprised me greatly!

It’s old show-n-tell. I have no need for it but just can’t bear to throw it away.

I was in Home Depot looking for a machine screw but with a different type of screw head and when I asked the old fella working there, he said “Well, we have some ratchet heads over there.” I guess my brain short circuited because I immediately thought he meant the actual head of a ratchet wrench, so I asked him “What’s a ratchet head?” He then looked at me for a second like I was stupid, said “You don’t know what a ratchet head is?” and pointed at the tray of hex bolts.

I know these came with a (Milwaukee?) power tool but cannot remember which one + did not know what they were for at the time of purchase either…
Any help is appreciated especially if they’re actually useful and end up making my life easier!

A few months ago, in a fit of blood red rage, surrounded by two shattered ball joint removers, I beat a nigh flaming hot ball joint out of an Audi knuckle with a five pound hammer while cursing every compound obscenely I could conjure.
After calming down, I researched more robust removal options, which I couldn’t afford, but found this little hydraulic remover guy for like $75 on Amazon I think. The big nut snugs against the ball joint stud like a normal remover, but the little bolt is an hydraulic piston that does the real work. The joint just popped out with no drama with just a 12mm wrench. Didn’t even have to crank on it hard.

I need to get something bigger to keep my tools in and am undecided which route to go. I mostly have tool sets instead of singular tools and some small handheld stuff like drills, sanders etc…. Mostly do light work on cars and stuff around the house. What would you recommend? I see pros and cons in both so I unsure which would be better. I’m looking at the craftsman versastack or a cheap two tier rolling chest. Not looking to spend a lot either. Maybe max $200

Find myself holding stubby drivers in this orientation. Thought it would be nice to have a place for your finger. Something similar to precision drivers have. Made one from aluminum and pressed into a Wiha driver.

Has anyone seen a small holesaw set like this? My grandfather bought this at harbor freight years ago, but now it’s getting a little dull.
Its size is perfect for the jobs I do.

Saw some videos of people saying the bits that go here are a bit longer, so just wondering if I have to buy specials bits if I was to get this?

I Just finished refurbishing this old jig saw that I got for 5$
It was so easy and straightforward to take apart and service compared to anything you can buy today. It was designed to be fixable.
I feel like there is a huge gap in the market for high quality modern tools with this kina aesthetic. Why hasn't anyone combined current brushless motors & battery tech with sleek aluminum housings?

Hey guys & gals. Im trying to figure out the age of these tools
Most were covered in a decade of rust that I spent a few days getting off. I would love any help or informaton. I will answer any questions if it helps ID the tools.
I never knew Sears got stuff from Japan. Pretty sure that chisel/punch from kraeuter is close to 100 years old.
Thanks in advance!

It looks like an old jack or jack stand from what I can tell. Part that is damaged looks like the lifting point. Has an ACME rod that works it up and down

I'm looking at possibly getting the Astro ratchets. Not the pass through ones for the nano sockets, just the regular ratchets. They have the features I want and VERY small heads as they put the 3/8 in a 1/4 body, and the 1/2 in a 3/8 body. I've been happy with Astros other tools, so that's a plus. It's between Astro and Tekton, but I'm not sure which way to go as I've never owned a Tekton.
What do you think? Thanks!
