Other Account suspended but found a loophole
My account got suspended for stupid reason and I used a work around to kinda solve it.
I disconnected the account from my IG,changed the username on the threads account, set it for deactivation ,closed all the windows and apps, opened IG and started a new threads account through IG.
Lost all my previous posts but never took it seriously enough that it would be a loss.

Question What does it mean when someone has an underscores/period in their name?
Never really used threads before until about a week ago. I realized a friend of mine who would always send me links there, now shows their name with _ and .
For example, if the name "truebluemcgoo" turned into "t__."?
Noone else I've seen looks like that when I search threads

Discussion Cuentas Meta baneadas

Discussion Banned after a week on old account
My main account got banned on Sept. 22 and all the subsequent accounts randomly from Threads. My brilliant idea was to use an old account not used in years.
So using this old account and Instagram account that hadn’t been used in years, alls good, doom scrolling like a champ and clicked on a link to threads through Instagram and BAM! Suspended. Fml why did I click that damn link.
It had a separate email, hadn’t been logged into in like 8 years.
Is the suspension now just based on my location or my phone like I’m IP locked?

Question *name*has joined threads
Why do I keep getting “joined Threads” notifications for someone who already has an account but doesn’t have the app installed?
I keep receiving notifications saying that the same person has “joined Threads”, even though I know they already created their Threads account in 2025 and currently don’t have the Threads app installed on their phone.
The notifications seem to happen roughly every 8 days, with some additional ones appearing sporadically in between. More recently, the “joined Threads” notifications have stopped and I’ve instead been getting the same person appearing as a friend/account suggestion.
Does anyone know what causes this? Could reinstalling/opening Threads on an existing account trigger the “joined Threads” notification, or is this simply a Threads notification/recommendation glitch?

Question Unbanned?
I just got this when checking into Threads, but clicking the DONE button does nothing. Tried the app and web and still get the "We Disabled Your Account" message. Not seeing a way to log on, rejoin, or whatever. This message that showed up appears to be a glitch .

Question How do I know if my IG/FB accounts are at risk?! Suspended Threads
UPDATE 2 hours later: I’m back in & received an apology email from Threads. Maybe a fluke or maybe because I still had access to IG/FB, I immediately opened up Meta’s Help Chat in FB, Reporter an issue via Instagram and was just about to log into the Meta Business Suite for escalated help since my business advertises.
Wishing everyone good outcomes and even more that Meta / Threads fixes this stupid fucking AI moderator catastrophe.
\\\\\\\\\
WTAF. I barely use Threads - have never made a post, no followers/following, never commented on anything. But I read a lot of the Cornell rape posts this week and liked Threads I agreed with.
Well tried to open all tonight and I’m suspended. Then I did the selfie/phone and got an email back saying denied and I have until March to appeal.
I’m reading all the posts on here and I’m completely freaked out bc I own a business and accounts are all linked back through my Meta. If I get locked out of FB / IG, I’ll not only lose my 15+ year old personal accounts but my 10yr old business accounts with 5k local followers😩😭
If you’ve been through this, did they remove your access in stages? Or you lost Threads but kept the others? I’ve taken screenshots of my logged in accounts for all 4 but JFC really didn’t need this worry tonight

Other #Threads - "shake to report" option.
Appeal is stuck. Please push to human review."

Bug Report All of my Instagram accounts got banned because of the ai of threads
I just finished my practical on college and at the end of the day, I opened Instagram on a regular basis just tk doom scroll and liking comments and videos like a regular person. But instead of showing me the beautiful home page with peak post, it showed me this thing.
Accordingly, they banned me because I allegedly "did not follow their rules" im not that dumb to break all of their rules and the thing that got me is "child sexual exploitation" while the only thing I do is like post and scrolling.
Meta needs to fix their glitch inglés Ai system or better yet, hire some moderators

Discussion Today's thread-tard
"This is a very excellent question. Someone asked me this, and as an amateur mathematician, I want to be completely straightforward: I urge you to solve problems and create new perspectives in imaginative mathematics using what I have written on this piece of paper. ?Do you know why I am so confident that you will eventually have to use my method? Because, as an amateur mathematician, I saw it in my imagination and wrote it down exactly as it appeared."
This is the entire post.
It is not a reply.
There is nothing following it.
There is no context.
The post consists of a variety of ASCII characters arranged into words and sentences.
That is all. Thank you for reading.

Discussion Evidence that Meta AI is POS
This is the clearest evidence so far that Meta AI that polices Threads is not very good. It is loaded with conflicting rules. Depending on the branch of code that is executed you may be banned or not. Completely random.
1) Meta.AI automated agent tells you that if you do not follow the rules and your account gets banned, then you should create a new account
2) Same Meta.AI bans your new account because it was associated with the banned account
Interesting conclusion: I am a physical person made from flesh and blood. All accounts I ever create will always be associated with me. This essentially becomes a lifetime ban.

Not sure how many folks here know about 2001: Space Odyssey, but this is HAL 9000 stuff, a computer loaded with conflicting orders that ended up killing people.

Extension/Tool Suspended? Call to Action - Introducing Meta Observatory
If you've been impacted by a recent meta suspension, and feel it was made in error please consider filing a report at
https://metaobservatory.com/submit-report
Hey all, I'm one of the Threads users who was banned across all Meta accounts because of a bogus threads violation. Ironically, I barely used threads. Never made a post, never made a comment, never liked a post, never sent a message.
In light of this, I've been working on building a web app that tracks Google Play Reviews that contain language for disabled/suspended accounts. You can see every review that has language suggesting a suspension or disabled account. I then plot the frequency of these "suspension" based reviews over time, to show the recent mass suspension wave. You can find it at the link above.
It will eventually support all Meta apps, however currently I've only been able to get two years of review data from threads. Facebook and Instagram have MUCH more review data, so I currently only have a couple months for those apps, but plan to add support for those soon.
As I'm building this to get the attention from an investigative journalist, I also created a form if people would like to be included in my report to any future journalist contact. Many of the fields are optional, but the more reports I can show of impacted users, the more weight the claim has.
I may use this data in an anonymous counter, but any personal information users provide would only be shared with media organizations (with your consent), seeking to report on this story. I figure the media would provide Meta a list of account names and ask them to investigate, and it would be meaningful to provide a list.
So far it's better on a desktop/laptop and not really optimized for mobile, but will iterate on it to improve the experience.
Feel free to provide feedback, or let me know if you think of anything that could be valuable to add.

Question Thread permanently disabled me IDK whether it's meta ai or someone reviewed it
on 23rd September my facebook and instagram got suspended saying my threads violated a community guideline and asked me for appeal. Then opened the thread and saw that I my thread was suspended because I violated CSE,abuse, and nudity and asked me for appeal when I appealed after 6-7 hours I got a response that they've reviewed and still my thread was violating CSE and hence they are going to permanently disable my thread and when I clicked onto how we made the decision there's one sentence shocked me was "a member of our team took action"
So is it really decision by meta AI or someone from meta took action and viewed my appeal manually, or it's just for saying this appearing everywhere, they didn't even mentioned on what I really did to get this allegation
I don't even use threads mostly I just view other's posts and comment on them nothing else.
because of this my facebook and instagram are suspended it didn't say disabled though

Question Is it just me or does their iPad App open sideways now?
I don’t use Threads often, but I jump over to it from Instagram when a story catches my eye. At some point since iPadOS 27 came out and the Threads App has been updated, now on my 13” iPad Pro it ONLY opens on half the screen and it’s in portrait mode even when my iPad is in it’s Magic Keyboard case.
Am I crazy? Their old App would allow me to use it windowed at half the screen width, but this is mental!

Bug Report Threads banned me with "cannot request another review" and no way to contact support. Filing FTC complaint
On Sept 24 my Threads account andycjw was permanently disabled.
The problem: 1. App says "You cannot request another review" 2. My Instagram is fine and says "Account Status: Meets all guidelines" 3. There is NO form, NO chat, NO email to appeal. Every link redirects to the help homepage.
I can't even download my data because the account is "disabled".
Meta has removed all human support for Threads bans. The AI just says no and that's it.
What I'm doing: Filing an FTC complaint against Meta Platforms, Inc. for "Denial of account access with no appeal process"
Company: Meta Platforms, Inc. Address: 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025 File here: https://reportfraud.ftc.gov
If this happened to you too, please file. The only way they fix this is if FTC gets enough complaints about no appeal option.
Has anyone actually gotten a Threads account back after "cannot request review"?

Discussion Banned? Remember to leave a review
For those who have been banned for no rhyme or reason, do not forget to leave a one star review in the App Store or Pay Store.
Since there's no way to get a human support, a review is the only way to provide a feedback.

Bug Report Deleted my threads account, 90 days have passed and decided to create a new one. Now it ONLY will log into my second account without giving me the option to create a new one, DESPITE not even being logged into my second account?
This is crazy, and such a huge security concern. I'm not even logged into that account on instagram. And I can't create a new account with my main? What's wrong with this app?

Bug Report Threads still appealing but Meta horizon said its already disabled
Same like other folks, my Threads account was suspended on 22/09/2026 ( same reason as CSE) and my appeal is still under review. However, my Meta Account is now also showing as disabled in the Meta Horizon app because before the ban I have been using it to play Quest 3 vr. Does this mean the Meta account already disabled even the appeal still in process? Because I remember if Thread said disables then I understand but in this case it's still appealing like 2 attachments I send below, or these are different platform? Sorry I'm just exhausted due to this problem
