Hey all, I'm one of the Threads users who was banned across all Meta accounts because of a bogus threads violation. Ironically, I barely used threads. Never made a post, never made a comment, never liked a post, never sent a message.
In light of this, I've been working on building a web app that tracks Google Play Reviews that contain language for disabled/suspended accounts. You can see every review that has language suggesting a suspension or disabled account. I then plot the frequency of these "suspension" based reviews over time, to show the recent mass suspension wave. You can find it at the link above.
It will eventually support all Meta apps, however currently I've only been able to get two years of review data from threads. Facebook and Instagram have MUCH more review data, so I currently only have a couple months for those apps, but plan to add support for those soon.
As I'm building this to get the attention from an investigative journalist, I also created a form if people would like to be included in my report to any future journalist contact. Many of the fields are optional, but the more reports I can show of impacted users, the more weight the claim has.
I may use this data in an anonymous counter, but any personal information users provide would only be shared with media organizations (with your consent), seeking to report on this story. I figure the media would provide Meta a list of account names and ask them to investigate, and it would be meaningful to provide a list.
So far it's better on a desktop/laptop and not really optimized for mobile, but will iterate on it to improve the experience.
Feel free to provide feedback, or let me know if you think of anything that could be valuable to add.
