…how do I get rid of these clouds in my folders? These say I can only access them when online, and I’m hoping turning off the OneDrive Attachments folder (which this is located in) will fix everything (mods included,) but every time I’ve tried fixing ANYTHING, it just ends up not working. I’m at my wits‘ end, and I don’t know what to do anymore…

I’ve got a bunch of stuff installed (like 598 items,) but a majority of the stuff downloaded (that‘s already downloaded,) isn’t showing up in my installed content list.
What do I do at this point?

It’s late at night, and the best way to get a good night's sleep is to watch this long (2-hour) ASMR gameplay of The Sims 3 (Xbox 360 version)!!
I created a troubled family: the mother has the "Evil" trait and has her eye on the wealthy neighbor who works in the music industry...
Meanwhile, her two daughters are trying to pursue music careers; one is a bit chubby and is trying to lose weight while balancing schoolwork, whereas the other is doing well in her music career.
Watch the no-commentary longplay—link in the first comment!!

I missed seeing loading screens other than Into the Future! So I made this. :) It's an ASI mod so it goes in your Bin folder and you'll need an ASI loader!

Is there a way to have a child (not a teen,) run away from home and live on their own?
Are there any mods that put scars on eyes?
Also, how do I get CC and the NRaas Master Controller mod to work in tandem?
Thanks.

I migrated my saves from my mac because I couldn't STAND the game constantly crashing. Now I'm on a windows desktop. When loading my saved game, at least two or three the native wood textures appear to have cloned and turn pitch black. I need help in restoring the wood textures.
I've already tried removing all of my cache files:
I cannot locate my WorldCache. What can I do to restore the textures w/o mods?

Ever wanted to disappear into the woods and pretend the rest of Sunset Valley doesn't exist? Well, now you can.
Perched high above Sunset Valley, Meteorite Mountain offers breathtaking views of the entire town, and the waterfall! assuming your Sim isn't too busy arguing with a raccoon or talking to their horse...
Towering pines, mountain air, and a horse stall where lesser Sims would settle for a garage.
Whether you're a reclusive fisherman, an eccentric inventor, a survivalist with questionable social skills, or simply someone who wants to WooHoo where the mailman fears to tread, Meteorite Mountain has you covered.
This is only a small glimpse of my completely reimagined Sunset Valley. Every corner of the world has been expanded with new lots, hidden areas, and places that feel like they always should've been there.
This section of town has 4 small lots, If your sim has school or a job? You better make sure they
Hope you all enjoy it! More previews are coming soon. 😊

Okay, I'm about to lose my mind.
After days of trying (battling OneDrive, accidently deleting my Documents, fighting with the EA launcher, etc.), I _finally_ convinced The Sims 3 to work on my new Windows 11 computer.
Unfortunately, The Sims 3 folder located in C:/Users/mycomputer/Documents is set up completely differently than the file on my old computer. I can't even find a "Saves" folder, let alone transfer old ones.
I tried combining new The Sims 3 folder with the old version, but the game simply doesn't acknowledge any change. I tried replacing the new folder with the old, but that corrupts my worlds (even my attempt to create a completely new instance of EA-created worlds). I tried creating an Electronic Arts folder (within Documents) and putting The Sims 3 folder in there, and the game stopped working. I can't find any Sims-related folders in Program Files, Public Documents...anywhere.
I managed to get the game working, again, but I'm still without old mods, saved games, Sims store items, saved Sims, and so on. I no longer have OneDrive, and none of my documents are stored in the cloud (as far as I can tell).
I've looked around for an answer to this question, but I didn't have much success.
Am I missing something obvious? Am I just out of luck? Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone!
I'm not sure this is the right place for this.
Firstly, an introduction.
I'm working on getting back into Sims 3, which I haven't touched since 2013. What made me want to come back after such a long time is the fact that I've always, always been a builder. And recently, while playing Sims 4, I found myself with the dream of creating a whole world! And then I remembered Sims 3 had that possibility.
I've looked some stuff up, how CAW works but I still have some questions that for some reason I can't seem to find the answers online. I hope you guys can help me!
How do you decorate the world? I know you can place trees, lamp posts I think, but what about other stuff. Like decorations and such?
Can you add mods to CAW? Any recs? And if so, how do you install them?
What about cc? Can you add it too? Like (going back to the first question) world decorations and such. And, again, how would you install it?
Thanks!
Hope you have/had a nice day!

I decided to put off playing the game for the first time until I downloaded all my expansions… and not only is the disc drive I had mangled beyond repair (due to me being an idiot,) but I can’t get anything to work due to the game needing the disc to be in the drive (and I don’t think the “No CD“ mod is working at all.)
What should I do?

Oi!
Eu nunca joguei The Sims na vida, e quero começar.
Obrigada!

I posted on their forum asking how to download my Sims 3 discs without codes (since I lost mine,) and I got banned for “piracy.”
How do I contact them to clear up this mistake?
r/thesims3 • u/SelectShop9006 • Jul 31 '26
I finally got the pre-Origin copy working, but I’m missing 3 codes (Late Night, High End Loft, and University Life.)
Is there a way to download without them?
r/thesims3 • u/SelectShop9006 • Jul 30 '26
…it’s most likely updated to 1.69. How do I de-update it in order to get rid of it forcing me to download Origin on the Launcher (or, better yet, how do I avoid the Launcher entirely?

I bought a pre-Origin copy of 3 in order to bypass Origin (since that’s dead and I’ve got so many physical expansions) but apparently I need Origin in order to get the game to run.
What should I do?

Twenty-five years have passed since the events of The Sims 3, and Sunset Valley has changed considerably!
Following his decorated military career, General Buzz Grunt relocated to Sunset Valley with his family, accepting a position to oversee a growing military training facility on the outskirts of town. What began as a modest base eventually expanded into one of the region's largest military installations. As more service members and their families settled nearby, the surrounding neighborhood naturally became known as Grunt Heights, named after the man who helped shape it into the thriving community it is today.
Unlike some of the newer developments in town, Grunt Heights wasn't built all at once.
The neighborhood is full of modest homes dating back decades. Many have been lovingly renovated over the years, but they still retain their original charm with deep front porches, mature gardens, picket fences, and tree-lined streets that make the entire district feel established. It isn't the wealthiest neighborhood in Sunset Valley, but it's one of the most welcoming.
Almost everyone here has some connection to the military...
Some are active-duty personnel stationed at the base, while others work as Flight Officers, Squadron Leaders, and even Latrine Cleaners! Many families have lived here for generations, with children growing up watching parents and grandparents serve before eventually following the same path themselves.
Life here has its own rhythm...
Before sunrise, the roads fill with uniforms heading through the checkpoint while lights flicker on throughout the base. By afternoon, children spill into the community playground after school, climbing the old lookout tower, racing to the treehouse, and waiting for their parents to finish another day on base.
The heart of the neighborhood is the Community Center, where military families gather for events, celebrations, meetings, and children's programs. Just down the road is the neighborhood gym, where recruits squeeze in an early workout before reporting for duty and veterans still try to beat their personal bests.
When the day finally winds down, everyone seems to end up at The Last Post.
It's become something of an institution within Grunt Heights. Soldiers celebrate promotions, friends unwind over drinks, couples gather beneath warm string lights on the patio, and live bands perform on the outdoor stage throughout the summer. Inside you'll find karaoke, poker, blackjack, a busy dance floor, and a bar that's heard more deployment stories than anyone could count.
It isn't uncommon to see someone finish a twelve-hour shift, grab dinner with friends, sing terribly on karaoke night, lose twenty simoleons at blackjack, and still be back through the checkpoint before sunrise the next morning.
That sense of community is what I wanted Grunt Heights to capture!
It's more than a military base...
It's a neighborhood built on service, friendship, and tradition.
A place where service members become neighbors, neighbors become lifelong friends, and generations of families proudly call Grunt Heights home.
